Kibo: An old wives' tale indeed. May I see the blade?
He holds out his hand.

Ranu drew his sword again and tossed it over.
I'm told it won't work for others, except the one who made it.
He shrugged,
Must be really powerful, or intelligent.
he musted at it, silently.

Kibo looks at the blade, runs his finger down the side, and stares down the hilt before handing it back.
Kibo: It's a finely made blade. No doubt about that. But there are no visible signs of magic. I mean, look at mine.
He pulls out his own blade, and holds it out to Ranu.
Kibo: If you look down the blade itself, you can see faint markings, where the enchantments were placed. If two of the same markings touch each other, the magic is activated, and a spirit is summoned.

Storm gave the blade a bored glance and leaned back agaisnt the ships rail.
"There's magic imbued into the blade itself, not the metal. But you may want to believe in the old wives' tales. There's generaly much truth in them even if there is more fiction then that. Not much else to do when your alone at home with three screaming little brats but make up stories to get them to be quiet and to entertain yourself."

Captain Ronyo is right, Commodore Botch, I mean sir. I don't think the swords got visual signs because it doesn't want any.
He frowned at his sword before returning it to its scabbard.
I think the sword has a will of its own.
He glanced over at the Captain.
My mother was the queen of such stories to keep me quiet.

"I ment that in the best possible way, Renu. Does it ever talk to you? Or do you ever hear a quiet, almost whispered voice calling your name but when you look around nothings there?"

I've had some strange situations with it. Once I thought I heard it speak in my head. Another it was in a dream.
He rubbed his nose.
Come to think of it
he said in a confussed voice, rubbing his noise with his left hand, while his right stayed on the sword.
I thought I had a conversation with a woman once. She sounded like the mental voice.

Storm shrugged and twirled one of her slender throwing daggers between her strange gloved hands. The soft leather of the gloves only covered the middel two fingers and had a silver trinity symbol embrodiered into it.
"Sounds like you have a sentite sword on your hands, mate. And a female one at that. Just be careful at what she says. Weapons with lives that shouldn't be alive have a strange way of wanting to be in control of their users."

Kibo eyes the sword, then turns to Storm.
Kibo: An artificial soul? You might want to be careful with that, Ranu. I've had run-ins with artificial souls before. They're great fighters, but they're very hard to get rid of once they get into your head. Just be wary.
He looks to the sky, and a small bird flies down, onto Kibo's outstretched hand.
Kibo: Go find Gwen. This ship'll need a captain.

He shivered at the thought of having no control over himself then shook his head.

Storm flipped over onto the top of the rail and twirled her slender dagger between her fingers before half-heartedly tossing it to thunk into the dead center of the mast 20 meters away.
"Not so long, thank the gods Commadore. Gwen's another one of his members. She's been....occupied for awhile is only now coming back to rejoin his crew."

Ranu nodded, puting the bottom of his left boot against the side of the ship, so he could face out to the sea. Crossing his arms he lowered his head, closing his eyes. He wanted to get back into action.
With all due respect, sirs, when will we be leaving?
He bit his lip slightly, running a hand down his sword handle lovingly.
