"No I cleaned eleven already before I cut my hand. Ill be able to help after everyone else gets a job." Tia said with a smile before turning to look at what was left of the crew without jobs. She hoped no one was in a mood to cause trouble, though she thought she might beable to handle it if they did though.

Mariko smiled easily. "Wheee, less work for me!" she declared. Hmm.. So everyone BEFORE Snicky and Snicky had already been cleaned... With that, she trotted off with a jar of grease, the rag, and a few long metal rods, and other cleaning supplies.
Upon reaching the cannons, she gave each of them a pat, silently reciting their names in her head...
Patae, Anjaline, Ahny, Jyon... She reached Snicky and gave the cannon a reassuring pat. "Don't worry me laddie, I'll get you ALL fixed up... Can't have you with a toothache, eh?" she muttered and started to clean Percefony, reaching inside with the metal rod to knock loose any caked powder, birds' nests, or nasty little buggers that might be hiding in there....
She drew her hand out of the cannon, caked to the elbows in old powder, soot, and everything else before reaching for the grease. This would take a while.

Alexis wasn't ammused at Aiden's actions. "You sent one of your crew members to find me, I'm here." she grumbled, "What do you want to talk to me about?" Her voice sounded highly disrespectful, but that was from the fact that she had no reasons to respect the man. He wasn't her Captain, and he probably would never be unless he had finally got a brain placed into his head.
She crossed her arms and waited to hear what he man had to say, if it wasn't what she wanted to hear, she was going to leave.

Out of sheer impulse, while cleaning Yooky, Mariko stuck her head inside.
Not that her head was small or anything, but it fit in quite well considering how small the opening was.
Careful not to inhale, Mariko let out some air in the form of:
"HELLO CAN ANYONE HERE ME- OWWW!" She jerked her head back out as the yell echoed across from all sides. She shook her head, sending dust, ashes, and soot everything.
"Garr, Yooki, Ah'll stick ta cleaning ya, sonny," she growled and started wiping away the grime encrusted along the cannon.

Maya saw the captain caught up in a discussion with others, and thus was quite surprised when he waved to her. She nodded her head slowly, both acknowledgment as well as gesture of respect. She caught up a coil of rope nearby that had apparently gotten kicked and began to recoil it neatly while she listened. So, that woman was who she was to report to, hmm?
Returning the now securely wound rope to it's spot on the deck, she waited until the gunner had spoken with Tia, then approached. "I am for the rigging, mate." She tossed her blue mass of hair out of her eyes with an easy motion, ignoring the brisk wind that tipped part of it back across her eyes. "Tell me where ye want me, and I'll get to work."
She was keeping tabs on where the captain was without actually following him with her eyes. The leathery rustle of his wings was relatively easy to pick out from the different rustle of the sailcloth flapping in the wind. His treads were heavier than the others too. Internally she reflected that those wings had to weight quite a bit, which meant accompanying muscle mass as well. Woe to the pirate that tangled with that one, she thought as she waited for her orders.

Tia smiled as Maya came to her and stated what she should do. "Alright this is something Ill truthfuly say I dont know much about. But Im sure the sails need to be checked for any flaws that could damage them when we get ready to sail also Im sure the crow's nest could use some cleaning, but becareful not only safty wise, but Ive already scrubbed this part of the deck try not to get it dirty again." Just as Tia had said that she heard Mariko randomly yelling in the cannon. Making abit of a confused face Tia looked towards Mariko and soot was going everywhere. "Hey becarful I dont want you getting your head blown off on the first day! Besides that your getting the deck dirty again!!!" Tia then thought ~What the bloody hell made me clean the decks and then the cannons?....Oh yeah Tracey.........purrrr~. Tia was suddenly snapped back to reality as a pain shot through her hand as the wound caught up with her mind. She gruntted slightly then straitened her face and stood tall like and animal trying to hide a weakness. Looking about she decided to sing between making sure everyone had something to do. Picking the first song that came along she sang it lightly while deciding to mop of the water off the deck from in comming crew mates. She tried not to hurt her hand while mopping, but it was proving harder the oringinaly thought.
"Just a reminder everyone one come to me if you dont have a job to do yet!"
Sail away, sail away, sail away,
out the bay and back again,
Sail away, sail away
Now I am a proud vessel,
I was built very sound,
to withstand the salt water
As it crashes around me
As I cut through the waves
Like a torch cuts through steel
With my weather-worn captain
Hands tight on the wheel
And he sings a sea shanty
As we go along
And the rest of the crew
Join him in his song
Sail away, sail away, sail away,
out the bay and back again,
Sail away, sail away
I was born in the forest
Where the great timbers grew
On the side of the mountain
'Neath a blanket of snow
They felled those great giants
And with horse and with sleigh
Pulled them from the forest
In the light of the day
And they fashioned my timbers
And they fashioned my spars
That would hold the great canvas
As we sailed 'neath the stars.

So this was it. The Aurarius, the pirate ship she had heard so much about while on board the little boat bound for Isla Olvidada. Marey looked up at the ship. Her father had had plenty of ships, that was true, but she had never in her life seen a pirate ship before. Her eyes flickered as she took in all she could of the ship. Was she really doing this? She wasn't ready to become a pirate.
No. Marey put the thought firmly out of her head. She had learned to fight hadn't she? She had learned to ride. She had defied her father's most important belief - females are inferior. Then she could learn to be a pirate. Oh, she wouldn't be much at the beginning, she knew that much, but she knew the meaning of hard work, and she was nothing like her mother. She wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty.
Perhaps she had been born to the wrong family. Perhaps fate had dealt her a faulty hand. Whatever the reason, she knew deep down that she could never live as a rich, noble woman and waster her life away behind the confines of speckless walls like her mother. She was ready to become a pirate.
"Uh... Excuse me?" She called up, hoping that the sounds she heard from the ship where the sounds of people. She knew little on the ways of ships, and she felt acutely aware of everything she was doing. If there was one thing she didn't like, it was making a fool of herself.

Avelop walked over to Tia, and bowed to show respect, he looked at tia, and spoke, 'I need orders, and do you know where I may find extra Daggers?'' He held his current dagger in his right hand, to show how it left him vunerable from all other angles. He twisted he dagger so the handle faced outwards, then looked for any inscriptions, all he found was a mark, so he wiped it off with his sash.

Although Aiden paid no mind to Elizabeth's soaked blouse once he had returned her to the ship deck, he could not help but glance from the corner of his eye as she dumped the water from her boots. Clearing his throat, the man quickly looked away and slowly returned his gaze to Alexis. His cheeks, of course, were still slightly pink. Considering the man was the captain, he could easily blame this pink color on the alcohol stored only a few chambers from his own cabin.
By Alexis' tone, the man was certain the femme dragon-kin had no true interest to become a member of his ship. His skin crawled with the absolute disrespect she spoke with and he debated whether or not her company would be worth the many headaches he was certainly to get. With both Penelope and Annabelle, it might be wise to pick up a few more males in the place of another woman. Sighing softly, the man could not help but look in awe upon the beautiful woman. It had been far too long since he had seem a familiar face. The gesture in which she spoke and fluttered her wings seemed reason enough to try for her.
"That is true, lass, and I only sent for you because I would personally enjoy your company aboard my ship." Once he had said this, however, the man quickly realised it was very likely not what this woman wanted to hear. "-And your skills. I am certain I could have a great use for you aboard my ship. There would be high chances of promotion if you continue to remain active in all activities and you would certainly recieve the same fair share of doubloons as the rest of the crew." What he said sounded so incredibly recited that he wondered if she would buy it. As sincere as he could be, the man truly only wanted her for conversation. The payment was his way of expressing thanks.
Spotting a stranger come aboard the ship, the captain offered a wave of his hand to offer greetings while he was still busy with conversation. Before he returned to Alexis, however, he pointed to Tia as though she was the woman Marey would need to speak to. McCallahan was certainly a strange captain.

Perhaps she'd seemed puzzled enough to be noticed, she didn't know. Marey followed the point to another woman, and followed it, nodding and smiling in a quick thanks before she made her way toward her. Being on board a ship was so different from being on dry land, and although by nature, she seemed to like the gentle rocking of the vessel in the water, she wondered how long it would take before she got sick of it. She had heard that sailing out in the oceans could be rather rough a ride, but in her rebelliousness, she looked forward to a good challenge.

Elizabeth surpressed a grumble as a call was let out to report for duty. Well, time to show how inept she truly was, though her sheer stubborn frame of mind would likely see her through any troubles she encountered. Glancing up at Tia, the young woman shook her head. Joy. How could she handle the stifling orders of another? She would just have to.
Walking over the other woman, Elizabeth gave a stiff bow. "I am here to report for duty. I believe I am a... deckhand." That seemed about right. A low ranking position. What did deckhands do anyhow? Now was not the time to mention that beyond archery, horseback riding, and sheer stupidity, she had no other talents. Merf. Still feeling water squealching about in her boots, she picked them off again. It was going to take days to dry off, but at least her bow and arrows seemed somewhat better.
To Elizabeth's surprise, most of the pirates seemed to be female. She had thought female pirates were rare, and had even flirted with the idea of dressing herself as a male, before realizing that it would never work. Not with her body, at least. Ah well. Males, females, what did it matter. She liked the lads, but that wasn't what she was here for. Not in the least.

Alexis rolled her eyes, "Could you say that any more sincerely?" the sarcasm was dripping from her words. She expected to at least speak from his heart, it seemed as if he was reading from a piece of paper. She could have flown off, but she thought she would have a little fun, Olvidada was getting boring.
"Alright, I'll take you up on your offer, but don't forget your words," a dark smile grew on her face, "I'll expect you to keep your word, if you have any honour at all," she then coughed, and softly whispered so only Aiden might barely hear her, "if you don't stay true to your words, I will fly back to Olvidada and forget you ever existed." She still didn't respect Aiden, Alexis believed respect was something you earned from people, and a shiny title wasn't going to impress her.

Tia's mouth almost dropped in shock as Avelop bowed certainly something she had never exspected from him. "Oh Avelop, well as for the daggers it will have to wait. Im sure they are below deck and as I said that's off limits for now.I'll tell the captain when he is no longer busy and Im sure that can get all worked out. As for a job, your a rigging rat right? So clean the crows nest and check the sails and ropes for anything that could cause a problem when we get ready to sail. Part of the upper deck is still left for you to clean though from your previous order from Tracey, it shouldnt take long I did most of it." Tia smiled abit happy that it seemed that they would atleast beable to work together. "Thanks for being respectful Avelop. It releaves some stress knowing Ill beable to work with you without any problems." Tia handed Avelop the mop before turning her attention to Elizabeth whom was walking over to her. At first Tia was a little worried she seemed to be the type that took it hard when having to take orders, but when she bowed Tia smiled though the bows were making her alittle uncomfortable. While she wanted to become first mate she also didnt want to be isolated as someone high ranking and no fun. Oh well whatever happened it seemed atleast she would have Tracey by her side. Tia was being to run out of things to do on the upper decks and really wished the below decks would become open to working. So much needed to be done down there and it was starting to bug her. "Alright for now if you could take some rags, water and go clean up after that gunner girl as she cleans the cannons." Tia said pointing the the soot covered Mariko. As Tia turned to face Elizabeth again she spotted Marey she sighed abit realy starting to run out of jobs, but she hoped the girl may be a gunner so that work would get done faster. Walking to meet up with the girl she smiled abit before speaking. "Alright what are your skills so I can figure out where you would be best placed." After this she was going to see if she couldnt talk to the Captain just for a moment to see if they or atleast she could start working on the stuff below deck.

Tracey waited until he was looking at the ship, he then answers, reminding himself not to let his current negative feelings for the captain, "His name is Captain Aiden." He didn't plan on telling his own, it really wasn't important, not on the ship, he thought.
Wading towards the ship, he just wanted to get on and see Tia, to remind him why he wanted to stay on the ship at all.

Mariko finally finished cleaning the cannons. She gave Pitar a last pat on his long black metal body before stretching and brushing some caked soot off herself.
Oh dear. She was filthy.... Oh well!
Not exactly caring what punishment she might get, Mariko leapt over to a bucket of water (normally used to swab the decks) and dumped it over her head over the side of the ship.
Eeew. It stunk like putrid wool and wet dog, and flecks of grime colored her cheeks and forehead.
Eeeew. But it was better than being petrified in soot like a bug in amber though!
She shook her head off like a dog to dry it and trotted towards the captain, awaiting her next order. Who cares that she smelled like a pigsty. She sure hoped Cap'n Aidan didn't!
