Bing frowned. It was just hard to be scary without Chris. He abbandoned the idea and went over to him.

"Hmm..." Bing was thinking how the heck he was going to explain this... Too much to explain, really.

"Some crazy doctor is turning us into animals, and there's nothing we can do."

Short, simple, to the point, not much in the "Hey, your life is going to suck for a few months" Department, but it works.

Silvanio listened to what this strange, talking fox said. Was this true? He felt the small tail, HIS tail, give a twitch. He took another deep breath. This was obviously some crazy dream.
"Well, in that case, I suppose introductions are in order. My name is Silvanio Verum. In case you can't tell by the sword and uniform, I was soon to join the Swiss Guard." Then another question arose in his mind.
"Do you know what I might be...turning into?"

"Bing!" Christopher exclaimed, surprised at how cold the fennec fox broke it to the man. The little fox had broken the truth far colder than the wolfman ever had. Maybe it would have been better if Chris did tell the newcomer afterall. He at least sounded slightly sympathetic when he told others usually. But Chris was at least able to breathe a sigh of relief when he saw the man wasn't too taken aback.

When the man introduced himself, Christopher examined the man one more time before extended a leathery palm forward. "Christopher Dunche. And that little rascal right there is Bing. While he might not be the caffienated little guy who use to me, he's still quite a ball of pep."

The wolfman studied over Silvanio's changes for a moment, trying to place the animal. Looking at the tail, Chris compared to his own and even touched the fur on both. But before he did, Chris told the newcomer well ahead of time, "Don't mind me. Just trying to compare here."

The texture of the hair was very similar. Backing away, Christopher stood before the man and replied, "It looks like you're becoming an arctic wolf or something."

Well, for such a blunt statement, the man seemed to be taking it quite well.

"What? I couldn't think of any other way to say it!" Bing squeaked to Chris.

He looked at the unshaken newcomer again, particularly his sword. Oooh, shiny. Bing approched it and asked, "Why do you have this?" Looking at it with some jealousy.

Silvanio's fear had turned, at least for the moment, into curiosity. He answered the fox's question.
"I have this sword, which is blessed by a priest, because i'm training to enter the Swiss Guard. We're required to use archaic weapons. I have this uniform for the same reason."

A quistive look gracing the wolfman's features, Chris opened his muzzle and said, "I don't know why they let you keep the sword. They usually don't allow weapons on the island like this. Not to mention, you won't be needing that sword anymore. Your dreams of training to be a swiss guard are pretty much over."

Christopher stepped closer, his snout practically touching Silvanio's face.

"You do realize the reality of your predicament," Christopher added. "Or do you think this is all just some dream? Bing here thought the same thing too. I mean, I'm glad you haven't broken down into an hysterical wreck or anything but you seem to not even care about what's going on."

Chris just stared into the swiss guard trainee's eyes, waiting for him to respond. In the meantime, he was going to study the newcomer's eyes to see if Silvanio even had made any realization of his situation at all. Something just seemed odd about this man not reacting vehemently in any fashion. Even Christopher himself, who didn't mind being changed, was enraged by the notion that he would never see his family again and that others were being brought here still.

(an out-of-RP-comment, I don't think they would be too worried about a sword. They have that sleep-word thingywhummit. Also, srry for making Silvanio seem a bit too calm here.
hope this fixes it)

Christopher's sudden movement brought up a red flag in Silvanio's mind. He bared his teeth and growled. Then he stopped, realizing what he was doing. Why did he do that? Dear God, no. This was for real. He really was changing into...an animal.
"So...so i'm not having some insane dream...or something..."

Which meant he wasn't ever going to see his family again.
Which meant he wasn't going to be a swiss guard.
Which meant he would never see Vatican City again.
And all of that meant...

He took a step back from Chris's furry features.
...meant he would more or less end up looking like that...

He made the sign of the cross on himself, muttered in Latin, and fell into a dead faint.

((No prob, Soldiers are trained to be calm in crisis, right?))

Well, that seems familiar. Oh yeah, he did the same thing when Chris told him about this place too. So long ago... It still seemed clear in his memory. It was when he still had hands.

He put his teeth between the hilt of the sword, trying to pull it out. It turned out to be tougher then he thought it would be. Bing tried to pull it from the side, and even the end of the handle with no luck. Aww... So much for having something new for the study. He'll get it someday.

"Can't blame a fox for trying." Bing said, giving up, He walked out to the beach and looked at the ocean, "Wanna try to wake him up now?"

Artemis, blind as he was, was pretty much oblivious and unable to follow the conversation. Something about 'cute' and then it all seemed to spiral away as three voices joined them. What the hell? Supposedly someone was learning the truth about the island, he heard as he tried to tune back in to the conversation. Uh. Okay.

Christopher let out a tired sigh as Silvanio fainted. Before the swiss guard trainee hit the ground, Chris caught him in his arms and gently set him to the ground. The wolfman rolled his eyes when he saw Bing actually attempt to remove the sword from the newcomer's hand. "Tell me Bing. Have you always been obssessed with shiny things? At least the caffiene is out of your equation now, otherwise you would be as bad as Hammy from Over the Hedge on an energy drink."

"Stay here with him," Christopher told Bing. "I'm going to grab something from my duplex to wake him up with."

With that, the wolfman dashed away quickly and entered his duplex, grabbing exactly what he would need. He ran back to the sight of the unconscious soldier trainee and dangled the festering shirt, one he uses when he had gone hunting in the jungle and was holding the fermenting smell of perspiration and blood, above his nose. Chris actually had to pinch his leathery black nostrils shut, wanting to puke whenever he caught a whiff of the shirt. "This should wake him up pronto."

Silvanio awoke with a start.
"Oh, dear God! What is that?" He saw the shirt.
"Well, at least it clears your sinuses." He got up off the ground, and rubbed his eyes. "Sorry about that." He sighed in a defeated sort of way. "But, you know, it's not every day that all your hopes and dreams are completely crushed."
PostPosted: Wed Nov 15, 2006 3:47 pm

"Well unfortunately, you'll have to deal with it just like we did," responded Christopher to Silvanio's comment. The wolfman walked over to a nearby trash can and tossed the shirt inside. He then turned back to the newcomer. "I guess I'll show you to the cafeteria since you commented how hungry you were before."

Turning back to the fennec fox, Christopher asked, "Bing, you wanna come along with us? I think they have some pretty good stuff today. I think they have actually started carrying stuff to support our diets as we are in these forms."

Christopher licked his lips when he remembered the display of chinese food and asian cuisine they recently started carrying. He couldn't help but let his tail wag. While he had been enjoying his diet of venison and steak, it was time to have some good old chinese.

"Kay." Bing didn't really have a problem with bugs, but hey, having some meat once in a while was good too.

"Might as well show the new guy around too." He said, trotting along.

"Sounds good to me." Silvanio said. This had turned out a very wierd day, and he was hungry.

He followed the Chris and Bing to the cafeteria.
