>>she jumped slightly at his question, quickly shaking her head<< no, not at all! >>The girl lied, smiling to try and add a more convincing show. The smile soon faded though<< then your opinion of yourself is the only one that matters...heh...seems a bit selfish wouldn't you say?

She wasn't fooling him, her jump and quick no said otherwise. She was becoming a more trying mark ever moment he uncovered a new bit of her. Again, he acted concerned before moving on to the next question.
"Not at all, it is not selfish. We are talking about you, who better to know you then you? No one else should be able to tell you how to feel about yourself but you." This septic spew was probably going to come back to bite him in the ars, so long as he got what he wanted, then it didn't matter. He had the ability to speak with confidence in his words. He believed it with himself, at least.

>>slowly she nodded<< True...true...however, how are people supposed to better themselves if they do not look to others for a measure? We all think we are the best until proven otherwise.

Lucifer thought that if something didn't change, he'd blow his chance of proving that he is not a bad guy. "If you are happy with who you are, why does it matter?" Mentally, he was yawning.

>>Anon chuckled<< And if that was the case then no one would attempt to improve themselves. Things wouldn't be invented, schools never made, we would all be living exactly how we were back in the cavemen times. >>She spoke offhandedly, like it was common knowladge. The girl acted like a ditz nearly all of the time, but her thoughts were deeper then she let on<<

Lucifer was at least not bored any more as he countered her argument, "I disagree, I do not think that Homer composed the Odyssey because he was being made fun of or wanted to prove something to his friends. The great ideas that make our world, I think, are born from being assure of yourself and your talents then wanting to share them. Not because of what someone else thinks." He waited for her next remark; at least she wasn't boring him too much anymore.

But where would the great Homer be if not for the knowladge of past people? The ideas of today are really just the combined thoughts of people long before, good plans put togeather to suit our own needs. So really all things concidered, he did look upon others and compair their minds to his own. >>She smiled lightly. Oh how she loved to debate!<<

Lucifer his index finger in the air and waved it back and forth. "You have a point, but you're looking at it wrong. He did not compare his mind with others. Maybe the events verses what he knows, but his mind was his own. Give an example that anything he did was a comparison. Learning history is widening your mind, but that is not comparing." She did have at least a bit of a brain, too much for her.

>>At this, Anon full heartedly laughed, sitting up. She spread out her hands in a sort of peaceful gesture<< Alright, alright, I give. I might not be that bright but I know when I'm beaten.

Lucifer smiled and told her, "It takes brains to know when you're beaten." How long after he had her would she realize it? Who knows, but he'd find out. Applauding, pretending to be impressed, he tells her, "Still you have a very sharp mind, Anon." He was actually not bored for a few second, that was enough to earn her a little less pain.

Keeping up the smile he told her, "It has also been a long time since I have had a smart and lovely person to debate with. Most people do not last as long as you did, logically at least. Stubbornness does not require intelligence." More septic spew but at least he was able to continue to sound sincere.

>>She ducked her head slightly, embarrassed<< You're the smart one really. I didn't think to meet an anthro that could bring up such valid points here. Everyone seems to...happy and...chipper to hold a decent debate. >>Anon chuckled<< Then again, some would call me happy and chipper.

He wasn't going to deny he was the smart one, it was good of her to realize this, he might even congratulate her later, if she keeps this up, she leave him using her intact and unharmed completely. "Not everyone sees the value of learning and debates. From what I have seen, thinkers rather then just emotion driven people are extinct there. Well, except for you, your one in a million as far as I can see." He was wondering how much he could say before Hallmark creative team started to sue him.
