No idea... Our current band director is moving to work with another school and so we have no idea what our new one will do... I can only hope he's better... The ones our past director have been choosing are not exactly great... sweatdrop

froggyfluf i LOVE our show for this year. the theme is emotions, and we have theme songs from 'the exorcist' and 'the shining' for fear and anger. 'officer krupke' for happy. there's other stuff for sadness, courage, and love. the guard is (hopefully) going to do a couples dance w/ some of the band members, and our choreagropher wants to throw in a hat dance somewhere. we are going to be SO HOT!!! wow that's awesome! i'm jealous ^_^ our gaurd choreographer is better this year but i dont think mr holder would ever let us dance with them! that would be so cool tho! west side story rox my sox ^_^

My band's doing Colors of the sky by Key Polan. Last year we did Locomotion by Key. Great music so far, but I havne't practiced much yet.

Malaguena is one of the tunes, and, yeah, Latin Jazz theme.
And if I hear of another band doing The Incredibles, I think I might cry.

ours is going to be "the game of life" were going to have like a 30ft spinner on the field and ramps going on it. its different last years was much funner and better

Melt Jubilant Suite. The music is cool, but Ihave know what the show will be like. is that the saucedo one? if it is its grade 5 56 sets, ours is grade 4 64 sets grr on you. lol.

First movement is Adrenaline rush, very fast tempo, second is currently M.I.A. because the composer is waaaaaay behind schedule, and the third is Heart Attack which has our drumbreak, and is scarily fast. o.o this sint, i dont like it heres the pagei will force it to grow on me, i like the 3rd movement

We never have themes to our marches, Dr. G (BD) doesn't like them. We already have all the songs (except 1 hasn't come in) for next year. Let's see, the songs we are doing are:
Atmadja (from Cirque du Soleil: Quidam),
Simple Gifts mov. 2 "Dance",
"Three Ayres from Gloucester" mov.
2 "Ayre for Eventide",
"Hot Chocolate" (from Polar Express [we don't have this one yet])
"Incantation" (by the same guy who did 'Atmadja', these two sound remarkably similar)

samibelle Itsumi`s Angel I'm not sure of what my BD's are calling our show, but it's 007 themed ^^ So is ours, sorta. We have some stuff from 'The Incredibles' we were going to do that but now we are doing one called "the phantom of the piano studio" it sounds lame but its really cool...its a remix if you will of many mozart and betthoven and it ROCKS

We're doing a John Williams themed show this year.
It includes Jaws, Indiana Jones, and of course... STAR WARS.
How many other bands do you think are doing Star Wars?

My marching band's show this year is going to be Persistence. It's actually a concert band piece but the band director is going to split it up into three parts. It's really difficult to play but I love it because it's a challenge. Last year we played the Mask of Zorro.

Ok well, Monday was the official start of summer marching band practice. We've done music the whole practice on monday and half on tuesday. Its really cool but really really short. Its supposedly 6.5 minutes but I dunno.. It has many slow parts which is cool, but it jumps from 90 to 184. I dont really know the theme of the show but the music is awesome! Its so pretty and the clarinets get to play this really pretty melody and then this crazy fast melody and then another pretty slow one. Ya.. that really explains it. I want to know what our actual THEME is but I dont think that is decided yet. I have a feeling that our show isnt even written completely yet... xp

The only ercording of it is digital tho and i hate that O.o. -ive done my reasearch- The fastest tempo is 164 ( i think lol, according to the tempo markings lol) its a grade 4 and its 64 sets. yay!
