Materia, it was more challenging to be super special, and the grid had it so everyone was the same (I still liked it though)
The World of Balance or the World of Ruin? (FF6 again xd )

Umm....both....
World of Balance is prettier when flying over and such.
But the World of Ruin looks cool in it's own right and has the Triangle island.
So both.
Rubicant(FFIV) or Kary/Marili/Marilith(it's what it's supposed to be!!)(FFI)
In Terms of who was the better Fire elemental.

I like the older games so (I guess that makes me old-school) I like GP. Even now playing all the new ones I still say gold or GP when talking about Gil.
Edit: Ehem guess it helps to give a this or that for the next person.
Blitz(sabins skill in FFVI) or Tools(Edgars from same game)

Limit Breaks. Only because you got about 2 (Only for the first 3) different ones to choose from. Lulu's and Auron's overdrive were good but Limit breaks gave you a choice on what to use meaning if one attack didn't work, you can always use the other one next time.

Physical generally.....I find magic tends to be a lot weaker in most cases.
Vanish & Doom or Hack and slash(As in the best way to kill most bosses in FFVI)
(yes Vanish and Doom works on almost every boss in the game!)

Obviously the Vanish + Doom/X-zone is the most effecient... but not the most fun. So I'm going with hack and slash.. though if you want some real fun.. try going with just mog on a dance... it's pretty suspensful sometimes.
Malboro(FF7-XI) or Mad Oscar(FFI-VI... original versions only... in some cases)?

To be honest... I don't actually remember fighting Mad Oscars sweatdrop (I feel shamed now). So obviously my vote woudl have to go to Malboro's.
Plus, I get this (disturbingly) large amount of satisfaction every time I defeat one. Even if they are easy ones like in IX.
