Beast's Castle -- A little way away from the bedroom

"Proceed with caution, miss. I've not a clue when or where the floor will fall out, or even if it will."

More startled than anything, Lenne immediately looked down at the ground. Her heart skipping a beat at the revelation that something might really give out under her and send them to some heinous unknown fate - Lenne was not the type of woman who jumped to wild conclusions and had an overactive imagination, but the darkness and overall feel of this place really was getting to her - she glanced over at the handsome blonde man before he ducked back into the cell once again.

Looking over at Shuyin, and deciding that if the blonde man was not dead after crossing this particular place, she put a light foot forward, pressing against the floorboards gently.

When it didn't creak or crumble into dust - like some shows she had seen a long, long time ago - Lenne ventured forward, firmly of the opinion that they should all probably stick together, lest something untoward happened.

Her heart pounding in her chest as she gently tugged Shuyin along, and relieved that neither one of them were dead yet, the summoner-songstress ventured almost shyly, standing outside the cell door. "If you don't mind, sir, can we join you?" Chances were that Lenne was a good thousand years older than him, but manners were manners and she hated not using them. "My name is Lenne, by the way," she spoke, holding out her hand in a friendly gesture. "And this is Shuyin."

Foyer--Corridor

Still leaning against the wall, and cursing the name of the person who had did this to her, Lucrecia slowly made her way over to Kadaj. He had seen her in her current state, and was more then likely worrying about her.

"E-excuse me..." she managed to weakly say as she slipped past the people in the other room, making her way over to the remnants of her son. Lucrecia wanted to go back to Gaia, she had to get these cursed cells out of her body.

"Kadaj...Yazoo. W-we...should go soon, but we have to wait for Vincent." she hoped he could get out of the pride lands soon, but in the mean time...she had to find a place to rest in the castle and regain the strength that was just zapped from her in an instant.

Maybe she should eat something.

Beast's Castle - Outside the Bedroom

Shuyin followed Lenne carefully, only giving Xeryim the briefest of moments. He glanced angrily at the Heartless, reminding him of the conversation the two had before. Shuyin had sworn that if Xeryim should ever lay a hand on Lenne, he would personally be sure to end his life. It was nice, however, to see that the Heartless had at least remembered that and continued on his way.

At least he learned.

The two found themselves, once again, face-to-face with the bearded man.

"Proceed with caution, miss. I've not a clue when or where the floor will fall out, or even if it will."

Shuyin rested a hand upon Lenne’s shoulder, giving her both comfort and support. Sure, this castle looked old and was ready to leave in a second’s notice; he doubted the floor would give from their weight. Instead, he eyed the man wearily. Unlike before, he was now pacified after he found Lenne, and thus his anger had dissipated. His suspicion, however, did not.

“I never caught your name.”

Glancing over to the approaching pair as he worked and searched and hunted throughout the cell, he made a gruff little sound of acknowledgement that they had actually chosen to follow him. The pretty young lady in his presence was acting rather...welcoming, for someone that had just met a complete stranger, and that warmed something in Luxord that he did not quite knoe of yet.

"Greetings Lenne, Shuyin," he nodded, clapping his hands together after sifting through a partcularly dusty bureau. He sneezed once and growled, swatting lightly at the particle-filled air before turning to face the pair in the doorway.

“I never caught your name," the one named Shuyin said, and the first thing that came to Luxord's mind was the phrase, 'I never knew it to begin with'.

But then he recalled the girl he'd met before. Larxene. The letter L. Luxord.

"If I recall, my name is Luxord. Of course, someone told me so, and it sounds right, but I am still apprehensive..." The blonde gambler trailed off momentarily in thought before his blue eyes fell on the two for another moment. "And you may join me as long as you prove useful and if we all work together. I mentioned grouping together before, but it seems as though my...former companions already had their minds set, one way or another."

Beast's Castle--Foyer--Corridor

The last thing Yazoo had really paid attention to was that there was someone in the hall ahead of them with the monster, that woman, and the man with pink hair. As if his thoughts on who was, in fact, his mother, weren't enough, that headache from regaining his memories seemed to have lodged itself in his mind without any intention of leaving in sight. The world around him seemed to almost sink away, like it wasn't important. Was that what he wanted himself to think? That didn't make any sense. Where did that thought come from anyway? His Brother and a woman that may very well be his Mother where out there. They were important, but he couldn't seem to pull himself back to reality.

"Cloud...who is it you hold the closest? I want to make them scream in the deepest agony right before your eyes. They'll shriek just as loud as your mother did before she died, I'll make sure of that." Who was he hearing? Yazoo couldn't fathom a guess. But it wasn't directed at him. At the moment, all he had to work off of was the voice. It was so familiar...but so foreign.

That doesn't make even the slightest bit of sense, Yazoo. How could you know a voice and yet not know it? The prospect made his head spin.

"Get out of my head, Sephiroth. Get out now." Another voice. It seemed angry--even hateful. Very firm. But now he at least knew who the other speaker was. Sephiroth. He still didn't know what to think of the man...

"I belong here, human. I belong in your thoughts, in your memories...even in matching your very heart beat. I am your darkness here, Cloud..." More and more words that made no sense at all. The words seemed to swim in Yazoo's head, making his head spin. As if the world before him wasn't blurry enough as it was.

"You never answered me. I do hope you intend on doing so...before I automatically assume. You wouldn't want that, would you? I'll slaughter every last person you know like the filth they are until I find that one. Single. Person." At this point, the ex-remnant felt a tad more than just a little bad. This was the man whose remnant he was. And Sephiroth was making no effort to hide that he was the worst of the worst.

"If you so much as try it, Sephiroth, I'll make a point of making sure your "Mother" sees the same fate. Are we clear?" That time it was Cloud. A bubbling fury rose up inside of Yazoo. Kill Mother? How dare he even think of such a thing! Though...what if he meant to kill Jenova, and Lucrecia was really Mother? Cloud would have Yazoo's permission to kill her then.

"You cannot kill Mother, Cloud, and you know it. Are you lying to yourself too, hm? If you listen closely..." The words buzzed before dropping to a whisper. "...you can hear her speaking." Yazoo listened as intently as possible to the silence. There was a faint, ghostly murmur in the back of his head. Was that her? Was that Mother? He didn't know...

But his "other" Mother was calling him. Lucrecia. The world around him suddenly swam back into the sight of his aquamarine irises as he looked around. Lucrecia didn't look well, at all. She was using a wall for support, and his brother was rushing through people to help. Kadaj obviously had no doubt in his mind that Lucrecia was Mother.

Yazoo followed after Kadaj, striding without as much enthusiasm. Yes, Lucrecia might be Mother and she might be important, but Jenova was looking very convincing, at the moment. The lithe man shoved that notion aside. Now wasn't the time to be consumed by thoughts and questions.

Though however much he tried to stop it, Yazoo found the question wheedling it's way into his mind:

Who is Mother and who is the liar?

Entrance Hall

"Move!"

Interesting. Xeryim turned, holding no regard for the Gambler of Fate or the unsent pair. Instead, he followed the angry shout up a set of stairs and through several hallways until he reached a cluttered doorway. A woman and two silver haired men stood just outside, one of them irritably yelling at the gathered crowd- it was he the Prince had heard before. He brushed past the older woman, shouldered between the angry silver Wonder Twins, and shoved the person standing in the doorway forward into the room, not caring if he fell on anyone.

He looked around, gauging facial expressions. He spared a moment’s glance at Greed’s other, finding his gaze oddly focused on the blue furball thing near Marluxia’s foot.

“You’re Stitch, aren’t you?” he asked, addressing the fuzzy thing. “I’ve heard of you.” He reached over to a countertop, picked up a jug of water, and threw it at the floor in front of Stitch, grinning as the water splashed everywhere, even onto the man on the ground. He looked down, getting a good look at the prone individual, and got the sinking feeling it was Wrath.

Oh goody. Hopefully delivering his comrades a bit banged up wouldn’t be a big deal?

Stitch didn't like water.

And by the term 'didn't like', it was often taken to be 'hated with a searing vengeance and feared like the wrath of God', along with other choice expletives and adjectives.

So when the strange person with a leash - well, at least it looked that way to Stitch - entered and splashed water right in front of him; effectively getting some on the tiny summon himself, the alien growled furiously and backed off, baring it's multitude of teeth before eyeing the puddle on the floor with a strange mix of sick fascination and disgust.

However, before one could truly wonder at just how Stitch managed to get himself clean without the use of water, an affronted, miffed Kadaj looked over at Xeryim.

He didn't know who the hell the other guy was, though he had seen him around the webs. Odd individual, although he was actually kind of civil to Lucrecia, which meant that Kadaj wasn't about to pick a fight with him for no good reason.

The stupid hero thing - of charging blindly at anyone who hurts anyone and actually caring about someone who wasn't a friend but who got hurt anyway- was way too overrated, and so Kadaj turned back to his Mother - who looked like death warmed over - and went over to try to help her.

Now that the annoyance was out of the way, they could finally get going. Sheathing Souba, he murmured to Lucrecia. "Come, Mother. We'll find a place for you to rest."

Whatever happened to everyone else was not either his or Yazoo's problem.

"Come, Mother. We'll find a place for you to rest."

Lucrecia shifted her eyes away from the ground to look up at the younger remnant. She was a bit out of breath from moving so suddenly while in this condition. Maybe she should just lie down and wait. She really didn’t want to be in the same room as Xeryim either. He had been reasonable in their conversation, but that comment he made to her on Lenne’s journal…

She felt a bit of hatred boil up inside her, remembering it. Lucrecia wanted to say something to the heartless, but decided it wouldn’t be best in her current state. Looking back at Kadaj she nodded, “Alright…let’s go then…I’m sure if I lie down a bit I’ll be fine.” Smiling weakly, she looked over at Yazoo.

“Are you coming…?”

"Stop speaking, Sephiroth. I don't care about you or Jenova. Just shut. Up." The words rang in Yazoo's head from his unwilling eavesdropping.

The murmur in the back of his head had been Jenova. He knew that. He'd yet to find the answer to the one question he wanted answered most, however.

Which is Mother? His own voice echoed in his mind this time. His own question. At least it wasn't the bickering of two figures he knew -- regardless of how foreign they were. The remnant watched without much care as a heartless came up, spilled water in front of the blue monster, and then knocked his ally to the ground.

"Are you coming...?" Gentle, almost weak, words filled Yazoo's ears. His aquamarine eyes came back into focus to see a feeble smile on Lucrecia's lips. Something blossumed inside of the young man. This was his Mother. Or, at the moment, his mind was leaning more toward that. The faint voice of Jenova grew louder at that moment, calling him.

Forcefully, Yazoo shoved the voices to the back of his mind, nodding slightly at Lucrecia. He wouldn't abandon her. The voices weren't of vital importance, anyway.

Kitchen

This was not only ridiculous, and a huge waste of time, but it was starting to get irritating. He was very tired of trotting around and playing the same games over and over, and the introductory act was old and played out. He was already in trouble as it was, and had no patience for stunts and games anyone might have tried to play. He grinned toothily at the blue furball as it squealed and skittered away from the splashes of water.

“Sorry to meet you all only to run,” he said softly, yet clearly, looking at each of his assembled audience in turn, glancing over his shoulder at the silver-haired duo and the older woman. “But I’ve got some prior engagements to uphold.” He reached down, taking a firm hold of the back of Wrath’s coat and lifting up slightly. He took a curious step toward Marluxia, fifth Septsinian in tow, and scrutinizing the salmon-haired ex-Nobody’s face.

Then he smiled, looping his chain around the back of Marluxia’s neck and yanking him closer so they were almost nose to nose. “Ah, Marluxia. Your Extreme says hi– I dare say he misses you quite a bit, what with you wandering free while he stares out from behind bars like he is, the poor b*****d.” He gave the flower king a mocking smile, twisting his head slightly to stare eerily at him from a different angle. “At least, that’s what I would assume. I’ve only spoken to him once. Perhaps you’d like to visit him sometime? After all–” His smile grew ever more malicious. “Kingdom Hearts is such a captivating place.”

He turned, giving a fleeting glance and a predatory smile to the three standing outside the doorway, reaching up so his palm faced the wall, chain jangling comfortingly as the links settled into a loop, dark doorway opening up in front of him almost immediately.

“Ta ta, all. Nice meeting you, Flowerboy.” He bowed his head to Marluxia mockingly, stepping through the portal and closing it behind him almost immediately, yanking Wrath’s feet in so they weren’t caught outside by accident.

Well, that was fair enough.

Lenne nodded at his words and was quite about to respond when she heard a commotion not too far away from them.

Stopping in place, she glanced over at Shuyin, then at Luxord, looking mildly worried. As far as she knew, there were others in the Castle, and with the Heartless Prince running around, she knew that there wouldn't be any sort of good news for anyone.

"Perhaps we should check that out...?" Lenne offered helpfully even as she moved to head back the way she came, slender fingers grasping Shuyin's hand and tugging at him gently. It really wouldn't do if someone had gotten seriously hurt because of Xeryim.

Beast's Castle - Outside the Bedroom

Luxord. Alright. That answered his question but only aroused more. He didn't remember his own name and had to have someone tell him what it was? What was wrong with this guy? Shuyin was also unhappy simply with how Luxord phrased his request. 'You may join me as long as you prove useful'. He was not about to follow some guy who could not remember his own name. He was--

"Perhaps we should check that out...?"

Shuyin paused and listened closely. A faint commotion echoed through the old castle. Could it be that Xeryim guy again? Dammit! Why couldn't he just stay put!?

"Alright," Shuyin announced, pulling his longsword from his sheath. He then turned to the blonde man. "You're the leader right? Well, what are you waiting for? Lead on!"

Luxord straightened up suddenly when he, too, heard the commotion, and turned cooly around to face the door of the bedroom. His blue eyes glanced back and forth between each corner, each side of the opening from whence they came as if indirectly searching for the source of all the noise.

"Perhaps we should check that out...?" the one named Lenne had said, and the bleach-blonde man was about to respond when Shuyin spoke up first, while on his way out the door.

"You're the leader right? Well, what are you waiting for? Lead on!"
he'd said, and Luxord's eyelids lowered in slight irritation. But he did not lose his poker face.

"Very well," he said curtly, brushing the front of his coat with his palms as if trying to rid it of any dust that had accumulated. Satisfied, he stepped rather gracefully past the couple, gliding down the stairs to where the two cases intersected, and he grabbed onto the bannister to lean over and spy on the open kitchen door. His eyebrows knitted as he tried to analyze the situation, his gaze sweeping over the area, in search of any other threats that he had yet to see.

Moments later, he heard a noise...like a soft gust of wind. Then it felt cold. Empty. The sensation left as soon as it came, and the creepiest thing was that it was all so familiar. Yet...he could not grasp the memories.

"I do believe...it had been coming from the kitchen," he muttered, mostly to himself, but making sure to be considerate enough for the other two to hear. "And I say 'had'...because I also believe that the troublemakers have left. Or relocated."

Beast's Castle - Corridor

Pausing in his steps as he heard the softest flicker of...something flit into his mind, Kadaj frowned. It was gone before he knew it, and the little fact unsettled him.

Something was calling, something...odd that Kadaj did not have the slightest inkling of. At the moment, however, even as he waited for his brother to catch up, all he could bother about was Mother, who looked like death warmed over.

What was wrong with her? She didn't look ill before; was it something she probably ate before she entered this castle, or was it something else entirely?

And, come to think of it, where were they going to go, anyway? Xeryim had mentioned something about cards taking them wherever they wanted, and he gritted his teeth almost venomously when the smug little Prince mentioned that it was already in their pockets.

True to form, it was, but Kadaj definitely did not appreciate the whatever-he-was taking liberties with them.

Nevertheless, Kadaj was the first to speak. Despite everything, Kadaj really didn't want to spend any more time in this dump. "We have some kind of card in our pockets, shall we use it?"

Cards...? Lucrecia blinked, pulling the cards out of her pocket. She could use these to get home but...Vincent said he would come for her. Oh, he would be terribly worried if he arrived and she wasn't there. No...She couldn't do that to him. Placing the cards back into her pockets she turned to Kadaj.

"No need, Vincent should be coming to get us shortly." she smiled, though...she was a bit worried. It had been a while since they last spoke. "Oh I hope he's ok...." she whispered to herself.

She wondered what was keeping him so long and hoped he would arrive safely.
