My embarrassing moment was when we were playing the star spangled banner in class and I squeeked so loud the the whole class stopped to look at me.....I felt like I was going to melt, my band teacher asked what happened and everybody pointed to me...... after class I quickly packed my saxaphone and ran out of the band room. I swear I would have died if it was something worse than that.... sweatdrop

idk if this has happened or not yet but our "substitute" director who happened to SUCK and was extremely evile was conducting a fast piece and during the song his baton flew out of his hand and out into the audience where it hit this lady's head. luckily no one was hurt.

Last year our concert band played A Day At The Zoo. So our BD got some orchestra kids to dress up like birds and elephants and stuff. They walked around on the stage while we played the different animal themes. It was really distracting and hilarious because it was so hard to watch our BD with birds trying to hit him in the head lol

Ah.
Our last chair trumpet..who just has to be on the end..XD
Trumpets were starting their soli.
He apparently didn't have his mute in right.
So it flew across stage in the middle of the piece.
To make it worse, it was a metal mute.
So everyone heard it and was thrown off beat.

Man, I wish I had some super funny story to tell. I've only got one.
At this year's winter concert, while our BD was talking, my stand just topples over. It had my folder which has all of my music, meaning 6th grade to 10th. Not much, but something.

I was part of a Northeastern District Junior Girl's Chorus, and our songs were:
Star Spangled Banner
Niska Banja
Bist du bei mir
Lake Isle of Innisfree
Stand Together
Shiru
Between Lake Isle and Stand Together, and Stand Together and Shiru, there was this little kid going "yay!". It was funny, because there was just dead silence. I tried to be serious and stoic, but....I just giggled....it was too cute... sweatdrop

This is kind of funny, I guess. lol. One time, we were on stage warming up for the first concert of the year and because I was in Concert Band and since we're the lowest, we play first. Anyway, we had our Chorales book out and had just finished playing our warm-up one. Somehow, our band directors (we have 2) had forgotten to tell the flute section at least to change to our music and when the curtains opened, my friend on piccolo and me were the only ones playing at first with everyone else in the band. Also, just a few minutes earlier, she had been hyperventilating to the point where she couldn't play. It was horrible. Thankfully, when we started, she and I played, and the girls on either side of me were leaning at odd angles to try and read my music! It was really funny.
The next one happened in marching band but oh well. We were on our Spring Trip and we marched in a Mule Day parade (It was TN, what do you expect? lol.) and we had to march where the mules/horses had already been standing! My section (flutes) are at the back of the line so we were joking about the fact that at least everyone else will have already stepped in the mule poop and stuff so by the time we get there there won't be any. razz Color Guard was first and they have white shoes. Bad because they were trying to avoid stepping in poop, doing their routine, and staying with the beat. lol. It was a pretty funny experience.

NERD F i S H: xD I nearly died.
A woodwind started too soon in Air and Caprice.(I'm in concert band,now i'm going into syphonic band) xD
We were performing for the 1st graders and a trumpet says "Play the Oboe, be a hobo." xDDD (No offence to Oboe players, I love the oboe :3)
At our last band practice (I know sad.......) we got a sheet of music called "Linus and Lucy". And theres a flute soli, and me and Hayley were the only two flutes playing.
A Trombonist(Or was it the Baritone player??, I don't know, somewhere in the 3rd row) didn't get a chair! And they had to play Concert Bb while standing and Bb Chord and Bb Scale... I hate having to stand while I play the trombone(I play flute and trombone. ).. So Mr.Hanna had to give him a chair.
We were in the gym before our concert to warm up.
Mike,a Alto Saxophone player, takes off his neck gear and Yells "I WANNA MAKE A BASKET W/ CHEESESUS!!!!" O.o Emily:Aww...Cheesesus is too short.....
Mike went to the percussion row(in the gym) and yelled "ITS CHEESESUS!!!"
Mike told me that the sky was falling... -_-
Mike was playing very loud infront of me...
Taylor(my friend who plays Clarinet) asked Mr.S(music teacher) if we could go to the bathroom and bring our instruments there. xD
Mike ran around with his near gear on, w/o the sax. xD In the Hs auditorium.
The bass clarinet(in the symphonic band) brought her/his b. clarinet case to the stage..O.o
