Yani seemed to talk about 'chardonnay' whatever that meant. Maybe a type of alcohol. She lifted her arms onto the table and gently propped them against the side. "Oh I see. I've only had one bad experience with that stuff. Never thought I'd try it again, but I guess I will."
"Tonights the night after all," she snerked.

"Hm, well maybe you didn't try good stuff. Wine is supposed to be good."
He shrugged at that statement and browsed the dinner menu again, looking for something that might be a nice thing to try. Might as well experiment...

The waiter walks away, coming back soon with a bottle of wine, and two glasses, pouring a little wine into each glass. "I shall be back in a while to take your order."

Keir tilted her head, and gazed back down to the menu. She felt like having something exotic, something weird and not common. Maybe there was something nice. She skimmed down pretty much everything, each thing with a double check.
"Yani, whatchoo havin'?"
The cat fa'e passed the fish pastas, but retraced her steps, maybe she'd ought to go with that. Pasta was quite good... She'd had it once at Seeno's place.

Yani nodded briefly to the waiter. "Thank you," said the fa'e as the man retreated, then turned his attention back to the menu, expression now turned thoughtful.
"Well, there's a filet mignon dish that sounds good that I might try. It's hard to decide though...so many choices! Some of this stuff sounds a little too adventurous for my tastes. Ugh, frog legs..."

"Frogs legs! Delicious," the girl spoke in one of her sarcasm ways. "Well.. I figure I'll try some pasta. Pastas good yea?" She trailed her fingers down another section of exotic things, some too disgusting to mention. Those were most likely for the 'different' guests, possibly more different than those of the fa'e kind.
"Well," she spoke up once more, not taking her eyes off the menu. "Y'sometimes need to be a bit adventurous, thats the fun of life." She smirked.

"True...but I don't think my stomach wants to deal with any adventures this evening," he quipped as he folded the menu and placed it on the table until the waiter returned.
Cautiously, he reached out to grab the glass of wine and gently wrapped his hand about the stem. He passed it under his nose to get an idea of what it might taste like before hesitantly taking a sip.

"Heh." The girl copied Yani's movement, two palms wrapped around it as if it was a mug of tea. Maybe that wasen't the right way. She didn't want to look stupid. Propping some down her gullet, she swallowed a fair amount, before coughing and spluttering.
"Wow.. That stuffs strong." She rubbed her lips with her wrist.
She decided to try once more, this time, coping Yani completly, she lifted the rim up to her lips, and took smaller sips at a time. There! - That was a bit better.

The waiter, smiling a little, came back over. "Now then, what can i have our kitchens produce for Sir and Madam?" He stood with a notepad, a cheerful look on his face.

Mmm it wasn't bad, but Yani decided that wine wasn't a drink he'd be eager to have every day. The coughing and sputtering coming from the other side of the table worried him somewhat.
"Not something your all that wild about either? It's not so bad if you drink it slow...I think it's an acquired taste...."
As the waiter inquired on their choice of dinner, he remembered his manners. "You go ahead and order first, Keir."

She sniffed at the wine a little, before nodding. "Its not that er.. Well.. its okay. I took a big gulp and almost choked," she peered down at the menu again, pushing the glass aside and out the way. "Me first? Okay."
She tilted her head quickly up at the waiter, and then back to the menu, "pasta. Uh..." She pointed to one of the fish pastas options, holding the menu in his view. "That 'alright?"

Once Keir had completed her order, Yani ordered his.
"I'd like the filet mignon please. Make sure it's well done." The fa'e shuddered slightly at the thought of bleeding meat.

Keir pushed her menu out the way, and stared down on the view. Palm stroking chin gently. "Well.. I guess I should know what you've been up to then? Not spoke to you as long as this in a while."
She turned her attension back to him, and played with the cloth on top of the table.

"Nothing special really...My mum had her baby, her name is Ava Sielle, so I have to babysit sometime. Lately though, I've been trying to figure out a way so I can sneak out and visit my old teacher. You know, the one that I visited almost daily before the whole "woods" thing happened?"
He frowned and sat back in his seat, rubbing at an ear out of nervous habit. "Mum refuses to take me. She says it's all his fault that I'm how I am now when it's not true. I know what happened."
