Nuala i. Please try to post something more than "X/Y/Z rules/sucks!", or any other one-liner. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned when it comes to discussing things, but I think that the more you tell people about why you think something, the more they can respond to you, and the more everyone benefits from having something to talk about. I'm not asking for an essay on the subject (although if you want to write one, feel free!) - but even one reason gives people something to react to. As above, what is it you like about Sarah Jane Adventures that you don't like about Torchwood? Or what is it that the programme does better than Torchwood? You're not leaving us with much to go on, here smile DW

It's charming, it's well-made children's television, and it reminds me of classic Who.

So, did anyone watch "Time Crash" on Children in Need? That was a good attempt to explain how on earth the TARDIS could possibly crash into the Titanic. And how I applauded when Davison's Doctor basically tells Tennant's Doctor to shut up and quit babbling inanities... It was also a nice ode to "my Doctor" - sounds like either Steven Moffat and / or Tennant's favourite Doctor, or the one they grew up with, was Davison.
I miss Sylvester McCoy though...

Well, rather than ranting, I shall merely say that I have now indeed jumped ship on the Doctor. It's going downhill, it's no longer particularly entertaining and Catherine Tate is in it next year.
Sayonara!

I know the feeling. I actually found a lot of the last Christmas special comparatively reasonable - even daring in places, in turns of plot - but when the eponymous hero and the crowbarred in romantic interest're the major problems I have with it, I start questioning my allegiance to a franchise.

None of the christmas specials have been terribly good- I found the most one had at least better moments than the last two, even if it fell apart spectacularly at the end. Season 3 was still, for me, better than the first two, despite the finale.
Really, I'm going to wait and see. Old Who had much, much rougher moments than anything the new series has yet been through.

Well, I know some of you have lost interest, but the series is about to start back up. I'm optimistic, regardless.

I never thought I'd say this, but Catherine Tate was *not* annoying. I am flabbergasted. There may be hope for this series yet, provided RTD keeps his distance...

I hate her brand of comedy, I'll agree, but listening to her in interview had told me she's an awful lot more likeable when she's not trying to be funny. RTD wrote the last 4 episodes, but all the others are by various writers, so you should be fine with everything that isn't leading up to the finale, at least

That was a fairly good episode, I think. Seem familiar to anyone else who's done the Cambridge Latin course?

Now, this felt like an old series story. Excellent stuff.
