I want to get a job at a game shop... but I just would not have time for it during school, so I'm hoping to get one during the summer. I didn't bother last summer because I knew I would have to quit come school year, but this summer then the school year I would be a senior who finished just about all their hard classes so I would have time for a job. *wants teh money...*

Dude, being a game tester would be awesome. Lawlz, I wonder how you go about doing something like that. I want to do something where I can make a lot of money. That would be nice. :D

Jajauma Hime

Same here! I still get lunch money, but it's just not the same. You know I've been too poor to even buy the new volume of ygo. The Borders in my town even covers their manga in plastic so everytime I pass by it just sits there... mocking my destitute a**. So what are you guys interested in doing career-wise?

Gah, I can't afford the new volume either! gonk I read it because it's not in plastic, but I want to buy it... ninja Anyway, career choice? I want something that involves intermedia art, so like computer animation mixed with traditional animation, etc. You?

I want to be a professional dance dancer and spread the revolution. surprised
But until that job becomes a well-paid real one, I've been considering a lot indecisively. I've narrowed it down to Marine Bioligist, Archaeoligist, psychologist, or game designer. It's so hard to choose though, I just want to study them all! >.<
...and minor as a linguist. ^^;

They cover the manga in plastic? That would anger me because I like to spend my time reading them right there in the store. I can't do that with stuff I actually plan to buy, because then I never want to buy the volumes I've already read. XD
As a career, there are several things I wouldn't mind doing. Either graphic/web design, medical school to become a plastic surgeon, or I'll join the police force here on Long Island.

I definitely want to minor in Japanese. ^^ I was so tempted to major in it but I knew intermedia art was calling to me more.

I probably won't take Japanese in school. I'm doing okay teaching myself, so if it doesn't get too difficult, I'll be fine.

Not trying to change your mind, but I do reccomend eventually taking at least one class for Japanese. While the pronunciation is just plain easy to learn on your own and so are the words and even the kana and kanji characters, sentence structure for Japanese is pretty hard to learn without some help from a professional. XP

XP That's true. The only reason I'd consider taking a class for kanji would be stroke order. I started learning kanji last week. I only have a few down pat so far, but stroke order always kills me. gonk A class would motivate me to practice more unlike now where I just kind of do it at my leisure. Plus, I think a class would give me more confidence so that I would be 100% sure I'm saying something right/writing something correctly. 3nodding

I completely agree. I mean, why not just use hiragana? It would be sooo much easier. XD :B Maybe some katakana... But still, hiragana is great, compared to kanji.
