Smiling softly to see whatever salve they were using had worked its wonders, his worry over the pair eased. His mind forgot of what Chrono had said about hurting them both, so it did not register to him of the illogicality of the situation he had fallen into. Tax still had matters to attend to with Khnui, seeing as though he was awake he was also very weak. Moving him so he could rest his neck under the man's arm, he began to lift him to his feet to guide him to a resting place better than the floor. As his own wounds' pressure was subdued in the business of healing, he soon felt the strikes again with clenched teeth as he brought Khnui upright.
"You...brought...us...to this place, so I would assume you know of a more suitable spot for you to rest in."
A control of his breathing befell his attention again, as he was beginning to feel dizzy. Many factors seemed to bite at his endurance, but he would not surrender to them. Tax wasn't done yet.

"My room is upstairs to the left." He said. "I also have a spare room right next to mine where you can stay until we know what to do with you." He said to the man. "But first, I ought to know what your name is." He commented. "I don't seem to remember you telling me your name during our little adventure." He smirked. "And don't worry about the mess, I'll clean it up in the morning and I'm rested." He said to Blaise and Raise. "Raise, take Chrono to your place for now until more suitable accomodations can be acquired." He told Raise.

When Blaise poured the salve onto Chrono’s back he barely even jumped. Although his wound did heal, she wasn’t sure about his health. He looked pale and weak as he lie there on the floor. Rosette stood and came to his aide and Blaise flipped him over onto his back.
“He is very weak from loss of blood.” She said to Rosette, “We need to get him water and let him rest. Can you accommodate him, Riana? If not, I will let him stay with me. I’m sure Rosette would prefer him being near to her.”

Riana grinned and wiped her brow. "He can be propped up at my place for now. I'll force as much jin-water down his throat as he can handle." She rolled off Rosette's back and gathered up her pack and medicines. Tsking irritatedly to herself she made Tax stand still aand rubbed the cooling salve on his back, bandaging him firmly over his clothes. "You don't listen well mate. Take a swig of this too." She allowed herself a small swallow of the head clearing drink before handing it away. "Now can you manage to drag Chrono just through the trees there to my home, Sir Nameless?"
She began putting her things back in her pack and wathced Chrono's face, deciding he was just exhausted and needed nothing more than to recover slowly and comfortably. She also pulled her hood forward to block off the persistent drizzle of rain. To Rosette she said, "I'll get a fire started the second we're home, no worries, your fella will rest easy. You go with Blaise and sleep it off, me and Chrono here will only be just a ways away and you can badger him later."

As soon as Rosette was free, she hurried over to Chrono and lifted his head up, the others were right, he was deathly pale. She gnawed on her lip, not wanting to be seperated from him again.
"Alright..." She finally agreed, "He'll go with you, but let me know if anything gets worse, alright?"
That was a bit of a lie, if he did get any worse, she'd feeel it just the same.
Rosette brushed a bit of hair out of his face, he still wore that old red head band she'd given to him so long ago. It was amazing that it wasn't worn ragged with everything that'd happened.
"You..." Rosette added, looking at Tax. "What else did they do him? Did they do anything to him other than stab him?"

Before the man could answer Blaise stood and took a look outside. It was still raining but she could tell that it was getting later in the night. The Task Force would be leaving soon and, though Khnui had already made the trip, Blaise was still supposed to go that night. If she didn’t the Lieutenant would have to rewrite everyone else’s plans. Khnui’s plans didn’t matter because it was a ‘just in case’ course so slight changes could be made if he didn’t go.
“Rosette, I have to go, the Task Force will be departing soon. I wasn’t planning on you staying here so late. I don’t have time to take you to my house so I’ll just give you directions. As soon as you step out the door walk straight until you get to a fork in the road. Take a left and go down the third road to your right. My house is down that road. It’s kind of hard to miss seeing as how it’s the only one out there.
“I will be gone for a long time, maybe even until morning but that is doubtful, so don’t be startled if I come back in the middle of the night. Before I leave I will ask my friend Kaden to stay until I come back, I don’t want you to be alone. If you come to my house and see a boy that is about seventeen or eighteen, you will have Kaden. If he doesn’t have dark brown hair and grey eyes then you do not have Kaden. I don’t know why anyone else besides Kaden would be there but I tell you what he looks like in the event that there is someone else there.
“If Kaden isn’t there and someone else is then ask them what my cat’s name is and what he eats after every four days. If they answer Ciaran and whatever he steals from the market, then they know me. If they do not answer correctly then beat the living daylights out of them. I want you to know all this because one, not all the borders of this forest are as secure as we would like them to be so every once in a while we get intruders. And two, there is a slight chance that the person who is there is Vader and, well, he just deserves a good beating. Don’t go off thinking that I’m a paranoid worrywart because I do this to all of my trainees and is has saved a couple of their lives.”
Blaise finished her instructions and took a deep breath. “I have to go now. Good-bye.” And with that she turned and ran out the door towards the town square, where the Task Force met for every rendezvous, desperately hoping that Rosette had really listened to her instructions. If something happened to her, it would be death to the Fugitive Foresters.

Stairs? Wonderful. Looking up them dreadfully, he shifted Khnui a bit in his lean to give him more balance.
"Khnui is yours, is it? That's how I was told to help- OOF!"
Before being able to utter another word, firm and quick gestures were made by Riana to patch up his back. He stood still just as she wanted, and took the water as it was offered. Water. Now that he thought about it, he was dying for some himself...his throat being dry and tarnished, his face covered with sweat and dirt, and Chrono's dried blood still remaining on the palms of his hands. Far from a swig, he downed a greedy amount from the skin before returning it to its owner. Tax wiped the sides of his wet mouth with the sleeve of his tattered shirt, and nodded to her gratefully.
"Thank you. I will help you with Chrono after I assist...Khnui."
Beginning to take a step forward, he stopped as he remembered that now two people had inquired about his name.
"...My name is Tax. If I have a last name, I do not know of it."
Turning to Rosette now, he gave her a grim expression.
"They had him tethered in chains. Whatever measures they took to get him to the cell besides the wound are unknown to me...I was taken there first."
Before he could recall any other details, he really noticed Blaise for the first time as she began to speak. At the sight of her his eyes shifted, and he had to blink to get them to re-focus. She was quite...something indeed. As she ran past the group out the door, everything about her seemed to glimmer in the light. Studying the exit even after she had left a new, happier, delirium took hold of his thoughts. Hmm.

He looked at Rax and saw what was on his face. He took his free hand and gave Tax a friendly smack on the face. "I wouldn't get too many ideas about her, she can be quite a handful and will probably beat you to within an inch of your life if you're not careful." He warned Tax. He had gain a little but of his energy back while Riana administered to Tax. He still needed Tax's help, but at leats he won't be as much of a burden. "Lets get upstairs so I can rest for a bit. Afterwards, I can cook us up something to eat." He said.

Riana frowned a bit and looked at Chrono lying on the ground. "Rosette, just watch him for a second alrtight? I'll help Tax here lug Khnui's sorry bones to his bed and then we'll get your fella home right quick." She started towards the men but looked back at the girl with a commanding set to her face. "If you move him or yourself more than a foot, I swear you'll have a bump on the head to keep you busy from your back."
Then to the menfolk she added, "and you shut it so we can get this over with. Also, Khnui is right, watch yourself Tax, but go for it, I love ot watch sports." Taking her place on Khnui's other side with a wide smile, and against any complaints from the stubborn man, she helped support the weary Forester up the stairs, trying to take as much weight as possible off the injured men. Not wanting any trouble or delays she half dragged the two to Khnui's bed, taking a forcefull but gentle lead. "There, she said, that wasn't so hard. Now, you to bed," she mock ordered Khnui, and to Tax she said, "and you with me. Chrono needs to be dragged off as well."

As soon as Blaise stepped outside her eyes immediately adjusted to the dim light and she was at the town square in no time waiting with the rest for the stragglers. She spotted the Lieutenant and walked over to him.
“Khnui will not be joining the run tonight.” She said softly . He nodded and said, “In section three, sentence two of your running plans do not make a call. Instead just knock out the guard standing next to the three cells you will be releasing. Make sure he doesn’t make a sound when he hits the ground or it will alert another guard.”
Blaise took the instructions into consideration and blended back in with the rest of the group. After a few more minutes the whole Task Force was present and they set off quietly, several of them, including Blaise, taking to the trees. With the dispersed group’s quick pace they arrived at the prison wall within moments and everyone was set in their positions, ready for action. A bell rang in the distance signaling for all to move into action.
Blaise scaled the slick wall with haste and without sound. With as many people as there was climbing the walls and trying to get into the prison you would expect to see a flood of people rushing towards the barred windows. But, there was hardly a noise made and not many people were seen.
Blaise slinked stealthily to one of the windows and peeked in. There were two men inside, one who looked to be slightly above thirty and another who seemed to be only eighteen. The younger one looked to the window with surprise, sensing her presence. Blaise put her finger to her lips signaling him to be quiet. He nodded weakly and she slid away from the window, pulling a small circular looking tool from her belt. She put the tool over the bolts on the bars over the window and gave the lever a mighty push. The tool crushed the heads off of the bolts allowing the bars to come away. She lifted the heavy bars and slid into the window, replacing them.
“Hey, guys.” She whispered, “I’m going to get you out of here, just do what I tell you to. Before you ask any questions, no we can’t leave the way I came in or we’ll get caught, yes if you don’t listen to me then I’ll leave you here. Got it?”
The last statement was just a hollow threat but the two men didn’t know this. They nodded and continued to sit quietly. Blaise took her stave from its sling and rested it on a wall while wiping soot on one of her cheeks. In order to pull this off she had to look like the prisoners did.
A big guard walked to the cell and pulled out a set of keys to open the door.
“Here’s your god-forsaken dinner.” He grumbled, “Oh, so there’s three of yeh now, aye?”
“Yes.” Blaise said in quivering tones. The guard gave her a malicious smile and turned her shoulder so she was facing away from him. She didn’t fight it so she could keep her cover until the others around her did what they were supposed to.
“Well, I haven’t given you my welcoming gift yet.” The guard laughed cruelly. Blaise heard a whip snap and felt stinging across her back. She took a step forward but didn’t make a sound, waiting for her queue.
“Aw, come on now lass. Scream.” The guard said as he continued to whip her. After the seventh time he did so Blaise heard an owl’s hoot. She recognized the call through the pain and she immediately grabbed her stave and pushed the end of it into the guards face, knocking him out cold. She grabbed the front of his armor before he fell and laid him down to the ground soundlessly.
“Not this lass.”

By the time Riana and Tax had returned to Rosette and Chrono, the blonde already had her smaller friend slug over her back.
"You guys have done enough, the most I can do it at least lug his but up to bed." She said with an akward smile. "And.... Riana? You mind coming with me to Blaise's? I got her intrustions, but now she's got me a bit paranoid now."

It had been a long time since a cocky smile crossed his lips, but he could barely contain it as he escorted Khnui with Riana's heavy assistance. Such confidence they had for Blaise being a hardcase was strangely all the more appealing, as well as the woman's display of it in her speech. Tax just felt that of all the sights he had seen that day, she had by far been the loveliest. Speaking of sights as he went through this home, he still had no idea where exactly he was. Though the clear-jin-water had helped some, emotional and mental exhaustion still plagued his energy. But by thanks of these strangers he was not going to die tonight, and he had the debt for his life to pay. Things could be answered and dealt with later, he merely had to calm his senses to handle the present. Following Riana back to the other pair he was surprised to see the girl with Chrono slung so easily over her back, but stayed put just in case his help really was needed.

"You know, I didn't need your help and I'll go to bed when I need to." He said to Raine. He then started muttering in his native tongue, mainly asking why he had used the teleporting rune. He pulled out his notebook, feather, and inkwell and started to write in it as he continued to mutter. He sometimes did this when he felt vunerable and needed someones help. Which he hated the most since he still was ashamed of the last time he was so weak and vulnerable.

Riana gave Tax a playfull punch on the shoulder, "You keep out of trouble and get some sleep, looks like she can handle Chrono." Giving Rosette an odd look she began to lead the way to her house, careful to be slow and keep an eye on the dangling boy. "I don't mind at all actually, Blaise is good at keeping you on your toes. Let's get your friend here set up and we can go, hopefully by then Kaden will be at her house."
In no time at all they had Chrono tucked away in the back room with a lovelly fire burning on the hearth and Riana's dog, a large shepered, keeping guard. Riana triple checked that everything that could be immediatly done for Chrono had been accomplished before shooing Rosette out of the house. and down the path to Blaises house. After a quick peep through one window she identified Kaden. "Alright, no worries then, thats Kaden in there, if he gives you trouble tell him Riana says to shut it and let you be. Blaise has a nice assortment of teas as well, if I remember accordingly, so help yourself." She gave the girl a reassuring pat on the shoulder and said, "Night, then, you can see your boy in the morning," and she started back down the path.

At first Rosette wante to stay there with Chrono, she didn't mind sleeping on the floor, or even sharing a spot with the shabby shepard dog. But, she began to think back to what Chrono might have said to her in such a situation. So with a heavy heart she did her best to make him comfortable, and tuck the thick metal medallion into his hands just before they left.
Rosette what not at all like her usual self when they arrived at Blaise's house. Normally, she would have spouted an idle threat of causing Kaden bodily harm if he so much as looked at her the wrong way. Now, she just nodded quietly in agreement before going inside, and looking around for where Kaden had gone off to.
"Hello?"
