I'm afraid I'm not very original - Kurama is my favorite. 3nodding

Kurama and his demon form, but I also like almost all tthe characters. Its what I like about this anime, there's hardly a character in this series you can't hate, unless if something else applies to it. smile

I'd hate to cop out, but I really can't choose a favorite character, because I like all four of the mains the exact same. Really. It's not that I like one more than any of the others...I just like them for different reasons.

Yusuke: Hilariously sarcastic and understandable, especially when life seems to suck for me (not often). The most important thing to him is to help others, specifically his family, which is something I feel the same as. He's also dreadfully compassionate, yet another quality we share. He sacrifices himself without a second thought, yet another desirable quality.

Kuwabara: I completely respect him. He makes me laugh every time I watch the show, he's got morals and sticks to them. He is chivalrous and kind, but also funny and has an interesting personality. I understand and adore his honor and moral strength. A very admirable quality in him is that his love for Yukina makes him stronger, even when that seems impossible.

Kurama: A brilliant and cunning person, something I wish to be very much. One of my favorite things about him that I pretty much recently discovered is just how ruthless he can be when necessary. He is intelligent and tactical and makes the right decision almost all of the time. A plus to all this is that in his human captivity, he has become new and found other reasons to live and fight for. He cares for his family and shows compassion for those around him. A good combination.

Hiei: The character I was first compelled to because of his mysterious, witty and hot-tempered personality. He has so much angst and horrific memories bottled up inside, and yet, manages to uphold a strict moral code that he doesn't even fully understand. He loves his sister (I can relate to that, as well) but can't/won't tell her of his true identity, yet another reason to sympathize with him. I identify most with his pride which often gets him into trouble but which seems to be hard-wired into both of us. His character is still interesting to me to this day because nothing is set in stone and there's always something to be learned about him. If all that wasn't enough, he's just plain cool, with his dark clothes, evil dragon and kick-a** katana.

I like most of the other characters as well. I can say pretty confidently that the only characters I ever REALLY disliked were Dr. Ichigaki, for obvious reasons, and Elder Toguro, because that guy JUST WOULDN'T DIE. Everyone else is, in general, fine or better in my book.

Hiei! Hes short! and still totally awsome! Jin is the runner up because hes Irish and a ninja! IRISH NINJA!!!
