They let u move 6" ANY WAY in the assault phase, so you could pop out, shoot, then hide again(I hate cheap people who do that though)

sephirothclone000 They let u move 6" ANY WAY in the assault phase, so you could pop out, shoot, then hide again(I hate cheap people who do that though) they're not cheap, they're smart. In wars, you try to survive by any means necassary, even if history dubs you a coward.

Yep, i just don't like it because it is annoying. Also, srry about the Picture thread thing. Tau firewarriors are a wall of FIRE!!! i can barely advance since they constantly focus all on one squad

Note: their tanks really are not as tough as people make them up to be. Simple heavy weapons can kill them. And don't take only a few, expensive, units(i am looking you dead in the eyes demonhunters). They WILL be killed quickly

sephirothclone000 Note: their tanks really are not as tough as people make them up to be. Simple heavy weapons can kill them. And don't take only a few, expensive, units(i am looking you dead in the eyes demonhunters). They WILL be killed quickly swarms of defender guardians solve anything. you can have up to 120 modles of them in a game, only 1200 points with upgrades, not including grav weapon lifts thingies.

simple 3rd ed anti-tau solution for me is drop pod my blood angels in. I dunno how they're gonna work in 4th ed, but in 3rd, we'd just drop them down in cover within 12 inches of the Tau armies, so no matter what we AT LEAST get cover saves, and on the next turn, we can run in and assault with gunfire to take out the ones further away.

I think it would be interesting to see how well an all kroot army would function. they are the forgotten children of Gamesworkshop if you ask me. Food for thought: http://www.redelf.h1.ru/w40k/w40k_kroot_mercenaries.htmlP.S. Firewarrior (book and game) sucked nuts. and I felt it betrayed a lot of 40K dogma that had been established already. And handheld rail guns?!? I use tau and still think that is teh cheeze.
