I wanna field an army full of only "aliens" so... if I use a hive tyrant mutation... and only hormagaunts.. that's 2 species, meaning 50% of my army can be xenomorphs with the nasty nasty bioacid. 3nodding Well, if you REALLY wanted to, you could probably convince your oppo to let you use an all-acidic army. It's not the most points-efficient thing ever by a long shot.

I am sure about the Guard thing. Carnifexs can use guards now. People are already starting to give them to carnifexes

you cant give a carnifex tyrant guard. its a heavy support choice, not HQ.

dude, the "new" tyranid codex is the same, it just has a different cover, believe me, i have it. a carnifex does not have hive mind powers and thusfore does not warrant tyrant guard. the ONLY tyranid creature that can have tyrant guard is the hive tyrant.

The new tyranid codex isn't out yet, how could u have it. Unless ur one of its writers, u don't have it.

the new tyranid codex was one of the first ones out...it came out mid-way through '03. you CANNOT give heavy support choices guards. new rules or not the carnifex is still a heavy support choice. why would a carnifex need guards anyway?

THATS THIRD EDITION! I AM TALKING FOURTH EDITION. And carnifex's need guards for a few armies(Looking right at you tau.). They strike Simultaneously with normal tau, so they can easily slaughter fire Warrior squads

even in fourth ed. why the HELL eould a carnifex be an HQ choice? i use old one eye, with a strength of ten, a carnifex wouldnt need guards anyway...id like yur source for this info, a URL or something because, as a tyranid player, i find it hard to believe you.

Either black gobbo, Rule book, or White dwarf. I don't have the time to search(I have 20+ white dwarfs, there are 26 black gobbos, and the rule book is over 400 pages. U Feel like searching for 3 hours just to prove 1 sentence.) Just ask your GW, mine(whitemarsh) said that also. Tyranid players are already giving carnifex's guards now. And they are still heavy.
