greqrg they use lots of big shootas or more dakka? Both, as far as I remember. The only real memories I have of that battle is of my Space Marines dying rather rapidly in a hail of Ork fire... That's the sort of thing that can stick in your memory for a long time...
I'll check with him to see what was actually in his army if I remember.

I'll check with him to see what was actually in his army if I remember.i was planning on making it a 2000 point army, and possibly taking 2 battlewagons (already got one converted). i think if you wanted to you can get about 10 big shootas on the battlewagon, which could be devastating. or put flash gits with blaster (i think thats what its called) in it, run within 6in of terminators, then you can shoot out with AP2 shootas.

Yeah mostly people think that Orkz only rule in h2h but with a 30 man squad en bolter strength weapons they can easily rip a space marine tac squad to bits just with shooting.

A single ork might have a hard time hiding a barn, but 30 f them will have a hard time finding it afterwards.

Keldaro A single ork might have a hard time hiding a barn, but 30 f them will have a hard time finding it afterwards. Speed Freeks... those things pack twin-linked weapons. Maybe once (if) I get tired of my Black Legion marines I'll build the Speed Freeks army I've been meaning to. With lots of Lobbas, twin-linked big shootas and rokkit launchas, bolt-on big shootas, and a lot of other shooty Freeky goodness. Da Diggas Rides Again!

Twin-linking tends to mitigate that BS2. Besides, don't Machine Spirits and Infernal Devices have BS2 as well? The other issue is that so many weapons are firing at once, it tends to make them a lot more likely to hit. Its the trade off of quality fire vs. quantity fire.

You have got spam Hear ye hear ye all Ork players report i am going to begin a feral Ork army the rules are on the GW UK site give me insight. ok i had an idea for a feral ork army once (dont know how you would like it but heres the main idea). it would be mostly the S5 orks they have (they are like skar boyz but troops, dont remember name) with pig doks in the units (or maybe the pig doks make them S5 on a 2+, sorry, its been a while). then they would be supported by a few units of shootas. i wish i could get more in depth, thats just the basics. maybe ill look at the rules later.

You have got spam I haven't looked at the rules too good myslef yet too but i do know that Feral Orks have Bs 3 instead fo 2. Only Ork Huntaz get the BS bonus, I thought. Sonething to do with the fact that they don't have big human cities to loot for food and ammo, so they actually have to hunt somewhat intelligently. And they cost more than normal boyz, so it all balances out in the end. I know someone with building a 2000 point list of about 200 BS3 huntaz and a boss. It's not the fluffyest army out there, but the look on Space Marine player's faces when they count up about how many models per turn they'll kill with shooting is worth it.
