DarklingGlory Oh I remember that throw from my judo days, I once kicked a friend right in the stones trying to do that... redface I cannot imagine the pain you must of went through if he palced his foot on your testicles and followed through with the throw.

Delmar_Denban CelestialDreamz Delmar_Denban MOO HOO HAHA! I tapped out another judo balck belt last night (3 times). That's 3 out of the 5 black belts at the club (haven't grappled with the other two yet). My aim is to dominate them all on the ground (apart from my BJJ instructor, that's not gonna happen). I also scored an ippon against my BJJ instructor with a Tomoe Nage as well. I was practicing all lesson and ******** up every time and then right at the end of the lesson during open randori I pulled it off, couldn't keep the smile off my face. I have no idea what a tomoe nage is (although I think nage means throw...right? sweatdrop ), but congrats! I know how it feels to be that happy that you finally get a difficult technique. =) This is a Tomoe Nage: http://www.judoinfo.com/images/animations/blue/tomoenage.htm OH! We learn that too! I'm not up to it, but I can tell that it's going to take a while to learn. Sorry it always takes me so long to reply to these things...Gaia NEVER shows that "new post" icon. =(

The only experiences that they have, that I know of are in Judo and Karate. They just don't have the indepth technical knowledge on the ground that BJJ practitioners have. Their ground work isn't that hot but their throws are A1 (very, very good). Yea thats true i do BJJ an NHB currently an once u get someone unskilled on the ground, its just a matter of time till they tap out

So, anyone been using the new Fairtex MMA gloves? I've currently switched over from my old, blood stained well used Twins and I must say they're actually...better.
They're more durable, definatly less cumbersome as far as punching and grappling is concerned and "cleverly" weighted, the guage on the wrist isn't too tight but lends support and the reverse of the hand is under enough pressure due to the weighting for your hands not to suddenly brake.
Even the finger holes are sexily perfect xD

Deimos_Strife Anyone used the standard 20 ounce gloves they use in boxing and know how they feel like in sparring? Yeah, they're okay for hand conditioning and they're easy to use, though I still prefer NHB gloves.
