The cub peeped again at the kiss, turning to look at Nakshidil with curious eyes at the gesture. She snuggled down into the embrace, throwing a paw over her arm. Those eyes peered at A'Hallei as Nakshidil turned around, and her tail got to wagging slightly. She couldn't understand why the green eyes were squinted so tightly shut, why he was clinging onto a tree trunk, one leg out at an awkward angle. All she knew was that he was nearby, and that meant she was safe.

A'Hallei was hanging onto the tree trunk to keep from falling over. The muscles of his good leg trembled from the added effort.
"No, No stopping." He said, stubborn, but pleased he was able to make it this far.

"Nakshidil." He called to her, steadying himself and hopping up beside the teen "Thank you...Again." He reached out and patted the cub's head with a white hand ringed with green scars around the fingers, smiling at the nuzzle that earned him. She peeped again quietly when he stopped, but quieted soon after when he began to move off again.

Nakshidil smiled at A'Hallei softly. "Lean on me if you need to." she said simply, and continued moving forward. They were into the main yard in a few moments, and a few sharp commands had everyone clear out of the way. She guided him into the house, and towards the stairs. Her room was the first door on the second floor, and she opened it quietly. The room was clean, spotless, if jasmine-scented, and she set the cub down on a chair, a careful eye on A'Hallei. "Make yourself at home." she said firmly. "I'll go see what I can get, painkillers and the like. Do you have a doctor you want me to call? Anyone you want?"

A'Hallei felt a little bizarre just walking into her house, and paused at the threshold to the door, before hopping up and inside. On the man made floor, his footsteps had an unbearably heavy clonking nose, making him sound more like a linebacker than a skinny teenager. He hopped up the stairs using the rails, and made his way into her room, thankful for the absence of curious onlookers, well wishers, or anyone, really.

He saw the cub safely left on a chair, saw the slight awe at the unusual decour, from the painted walls, to the crazy thing called a mirror. But, the chair was soft, and the ride was long, so exploring would have to wait. A'Hallei hobbled over to the bed and dropped onto it, a little embarressed to muss the sheets, but they felt good and cool against his skin, finally hot from sheer physical exertion.

His back arched and he groaned quietly, before the final push to lift his legs up. Thinking, he undid one boot and let it drop with a heavy thunk to the floor, but left the other alone, resting it off the bed by holding it up on his other leg. He looked at Nakshidil, his cheek still tear stained.
She asked if he had a doctor, a rather odd question. He shook his head, no, no he didn't have anyone he really wanted, or knew for her to call. A disadvantage to being a recluse, perhaps.

The cub jumped off of the chair and made an impressive leap up to the bed beside A'Hallei, plodding over to the wraith and curling up beside him.
"...Water?" He asked quietly, profoundly grateful for the aid.

Nakshidil smiled. "Of course. She turned and moved into the bathroom, grabbing a small paper cup and filling it with cool tap water. She handed it to A'Hallei, gently wiping away his tear. "I'll be right back." she assured him. "Do you want me to close the door behind me?"

A'Hallei had let his hands glide over the material of his shift when she had left, finding it odd that he could feel his individual fingers tracing over the muscles of his torso. It tickled bizarrely, to have the sensations of his hands on a part of his body normally shielded. His shoulders too. He felt...Almost nude. Looking down, he could see the ripples his own body made in the fabric of his teal shift. His eyes snapped up as Nakshidil came back into the room, though his fingers were still grazed over his chest.

She thumbed his cheek, revealing to him it was moist. He didn't even remember crying. He took the cup from her, setting it flat against his stomach as she began to leave the room. He nodded his assent for her to close the door, wishing to reclaim his solitude, if only for a few minutes.

When the door clicked shut, he turned and offered the cup to the cub, but she was uninterested, and only then did he drink the cool liquid, draining it hastily. He let the empty cup lay beside himself as he took a deep breath, sitting up, and roughly unfastening his left boot. Each movement jarred him anew, but his leg was swelling, and the boot wasn't going to help anything.

A few awkward moments later and the second boot joined the first, and A'Hallei finally leaned back, not quite relaxed, but better than before. The cub peered at him for a moment before curling in closer, resting her chin on his arm as her eyes squinted shut to sleep. It wasn't long before A'Hallei joined her, finding temporary peace in the oblivion unconciousness yielded him.

Nakshidil hurried down the stairs, digging through the cabinet in the kitchen. Bandages, and all sorts of things were tossed onto a tray, along with a pitcher of icy water. And a bottle of brandy. Hey, it worked, both to calm the patient, and clean a wound. She'd sent out a message to Naira to go get a doctor. Though, knowing the angel, she'd forget.... unfortunately, she was the only other person home, and one of the kittens had eaten the phone cord.

Hurrying back upstairs, she pushed open the door to her room. And her heart melted. The handsome teen was asleep on her bed, cuddled up with the cougar cub. He looked so... delicate... when he slept. She moved closer to the bed, as quietly as possible so as not to disturb him before she had to. The tray was set down on the nightstand, and she moved to change out of the dress, into something simple. Something to keep her modesty, but not be as constricting as the outfit she had on. Her shoes were kicked off in the corner, and she braided her hair, to keep it out of the way.

Silently, she sat down on the bed, shifting the cub a bit. "A'Hallei?" she murmured softly, leaning forward carefully.

The nap was too brief to release the torrent of dreams that usually captured him. This time, his face was smooth and expressionless, almost serene, his head dropped to the side, exposing his white neck, drumming silently with his pulse. Like a silver waterfall, his hair spilled over the pillows and sheets, unbound and wild, taking on smooth loops and curls so foreign to the normally straw straight hair.

At every sound she made, his ear flicked slightly, but he did not rouse immediately, a tribute to his exhaustion. The cub blinked open bleary eyes as Nakshidil sat down, awakened by the dip her weight caused in the bed. She peeped quietly and changed positions, this time wedging between A'Hallei's side and Nakshidil's leg.

"A'Hallei?"

Green eyes snapped open, training on her. He'd almost forgotten where he was, and began to sit up quickly, wincing as his returning awareness brought back the knowlege of the recent events, and the fresh pain in his leg.
"Nakshidil." He answered her, opening luminous green eyes to meet her darker, yet warmer ones.

The teen swallowed, meeting his green eyes. "I called for a doctor." she murmured. "But I can't promise anything. I brought drink, and some food from the fridge in case you or Baby get hungry." she sat up, stomach clenched. "I brought brandy. It's a drink. It will make you feel hot, possibly sleepy, but it will relax you. You don't have to drink it. It will also be good to help clean your leg."

A'Hallei let his eyes drop to his leg as she spoke, nodding his understanding to her words. In his eagerness to sit up, he caused the cub to topple again. This time she merely sat up and shifted, flopping back in the opposite direction. His leg looked as horrible as it felt. He sank back onto the bed, looking up at the ceiling. He was thinking again, thoughts clouded behind eyes so bright they almost glowed in the light. He tossled with his thoughts for a moment more, before his mouth opened, white lips parting to reveal the inside of his lips, suprisingly, a gentle pink.

"Needs a splint, elevation." He said quietly, before swallowing roughly. "Perhaps brandy...help pain?" He looked at her again, seeking reassurance in those eyes that reminded him so of the silhouetted canopy. He reached out a pale hand and mirrored the gesture she gave him so often, sliding his palm tenderly across her cheek.

Nakshidil relaxed her cheek in his hand for a moment, smiling at him softly. "Would you like ice?" she asked softly, not moving away from his touch. So gentle... Her eyes were dark, curious as she watched him. "I will also get pillows, and blankets to elevate yout leg. Then we can try and... reset it, I guess?"

Her skin was warm against his, soft against his, alive under his. It had been so long since he'd directly touched another person, he marveled for a moment more before letting his hand slip free.
"Please." He implored to her suggestions, not liking the idea of forcibly resetting his own leg, but knowing that it had to be done. It would hurt like hell, but he couldn't afford to have his leg heal askew, or at an angle.

It was all so strange to him, to have someone care about what happened to him, to try to ease and sooth him, rather than cause him pain, or ignore him. It was one he did not find at all unpleasant. He blinked suddenly, looking at Nakshidil,
"Your clothes are changed." He remarked, only now noticing the dress had been replaced sometime when he had fallen asleep. "Why?" He looked up at her again, unsure. Were they soiled somehow? He did not notice, aside from a smudge or two, any dirt or anything on her body.

Nakshidil almost followed his hand like a puppy. As he pulled away, she stood, busying herself in pouring him a decent glass of the alcohol. She pressed it into his hand, instructing him to drink it all, 'even though it may be nasty'. Pillows were propped under his leg, and she smiled at him gently, running her hands down his leg gently. "Do you want to set it?" she asked softly.

A'Hallei sipped at the liquid hesitantly, skewing his face at the taste. At that, Nakshidil told him to make sure he drank all of it, even though it may be nasty. He scrunched his nose up at her for a moment, but determined to show he could, he began to drain the glass. He grimaced at the burn it left in his throat, and he set the glass down on the nightstand by the decanter. He noticed it was a large bottle, and blinked at it for a moment, wondering why anyone would enjoy drinking such a large quantity of the stuff.

He leaned back against the pillows, before looking back up at Nakshidil. "Would you, or shall I?" He asked, preparing to brace himself against the pain. At the moment though, his sharp green eyes were calm, in focus still. He let his pale hands slide over her silken sheets beside him.

Nakkie smiled sweetly as he finished it, pouring another glass and leaving it in range. "I can try and set it." she offered. "But I have no experience with it... and I doubt I am as strong as you." her eyes followed his nervous hands and she leaned in to stroke his hand gently. "I'll be here." she whispered, squeezing the pale hand. "And I'll do it, if you want me to."

A'Hallei really had little knowlege setting bone either. Any knowlege he had was theoretical. Sitting up again, he stared at the wounded limb, before slipping his hands out from under Nakshidil's, reaching out to grasp it. He tenderly slid his thumb along the ridge of his shin, feeling out precisely where the split was. It was only twisted. He shot a nervous glance to Nakshidil. He held her gaze for a few moments as he clenched his jaw, suddenly and furiously wrenching his leg.

With an audible crack, he forced the bone back together in the original alignment. It hurt like blazes, as he was essentially re-breaking the bone to get it in the right place. Damned fast healing was working against him. Pain flooded his features, slipping into his level gaze before they closed against his will.

He curled inward, huddled over his knees.
"Nakshidil splint?" He bit out quietly. "Hurry, please." His voice pleaded with her. At the fierce crack, the cub had been jarred awake, and peered with yellow eyes at him, wondering why he was making such odd noises.
