"Names for Pokemon," Keegan murmered, glancing at Growly once more. "That's not a bad idea." He turned his attention back to the pretty blonde girl in front of him. "Yeah, I'm sure he will," he scoffed, without thinking.

"What did you just say?" Kasiya jerked her head up and stared at Keegan. "What's that supposed to mean?!" she nearly yelled, but managed to keep her self under control.

"!!" Keegan jumped back, in case one of those fists of hers suddenly came barreling his way. "I...I...uh, well...you see..." he stuttered, trying to think of the best way out of it. But after seeing the quiver in her eyes, he sighed. "I don't know much about what's going on with any of you, but it seems as though Jaeshan has hooked up with Ryka," he said bluntly, hoping Kasiya wouldn't freak out and try to rip his head off.

"He...did?" she said, her voice quiet. She said nothing for a moment, then sighed. "Well good for them," she said, forcing the lump in her throat down and looking into Keegan's eyes. "Thanks for letting me know," she said. "I won't keep you from your journey. I think I'll head to the Pokemon Center for the evening. Good-bye," she said, standing up and recalling Growly into his Pokeball.

"Whoa, wait a second," Keegan cried, jumping up and grabbing her arm gently. "I don't have anything planned. And I can't sleep, either. You wanna go get an ice cream or something?" he asked, hoping to cheer her up, especially seeing as it was him who had to play bearer of bad news.

((xD!! I remember what it was like to be angsty. My angst phase didn't last long though. ))
She glanced down at her arm where Keegan had grabbed it. His hand was warm, reminding her faintly of flames. "I would like that," she said. "But do you know any ice cream parlours that are open this late in the evening?"

"Um," Keegan mused, looking around. "How about there?" he pointed. It was an all night diner, and it had a symbol of an ice cream cone on it. "Will that work for you?"

"That works," Kasiya giggled. "Now, will you let go of my arm? I'm not gonna run away you know." She smiled, it seemd as though her mood had totally flipped around again.

"This battle is certainly taking a long time." Mike said to himself as he thumbed his PokeNav in his pocket. "Oh hey, I forgot I had one of these!" Taking it out of his pocket, he looked at the list of people he had called. "Hey look, Kasiya." He said as the list ended. Maybe I should giver her a call soon, I bet she'd like that. He smiled, remembering his friend.

"Oh, sorry," Keegan said sheepishly, and let go. He hoped she couldn't see the slight red in his cheeks as they headed in the direction of the diner. He opened the door slowly, looking around as he did so. The bell above the doorframe jingled, and he entered. It was empty, save for a tired looking, middle-aged man behind the counter. It looked as though he were asleep.
"Ahem?" Keegan said, trying to stir the man from his sleep but not scare him.

Kasiya followed Keegan inside the diner, paying the jingly bell no attention as the door closed behind her. She spied the man fast asleep behind the counter. When he didn't rouse at Keegan's "Ahem", she decided to take matters into her own hands.
"Excuse me," she said in a fairly loud, sharp tone. "Can you take our orders already?"
"What? Huh? Oh, I'm sorry," the man grunted, sitting up. "What'll it be, kids?"
Kasiya looked at Keegan, holding up her right hand with two fingers raised. "Victory," she told him.

"Indeed," Keegan laughed, turning to the cook. "Uh, can we get some ice cream?" he asked, grabbing a nearby menu and looking it over. "And while we're at it, a plate of fries too, please." He set the menu down and turned to Kasiya. "Do you want anything special?" he asked.

Nitro's head perked up from noticing the ensuing battle. "Wait a minute, we skipped one!" He almost shouted, flailing his arms out and knocking Portabello down after he had just woken from his 'nap'.
"What are you talking about Nitro? Skipped what?" said the Breloom rubbing his head. That over eager moron left a mark!
"When we were back home, I overhead Mike talking to himself about all the Hoenn Gym Leaders. He said that it went in this order: Roxanne, Brawly, Watson, Flannery, then Winona, Norman, Tate, Liza then Juan. We seemed to have went past one." The Charizard looked at Mike questioningly, noting his pensive appearance. "I wonder why."
Portabello join Nitro in his inquisitive stare. "Now I'm curious too." he remarked.

"Hmmm..." Kasiya snatched the menu from in front of Keegan and looked at it. "Well, I want a chocolate sundae, and make it large!" she said, emphasizing the word 'large'. "And I'll just steal half your fries," she told him sweetly.
"Be here shortly," the cook nodded, disappearing into the kitchen.
"Awesome," Kasiya grinned, and leaned back in her chair.

"Yes, you're right! You seem to keep giving me the best advice." Ryka said happily. Looking out the window, she added, "so, where should we be off to now? Maybe you could get to the gym and win your badge!"
