"Fine. Because I talk alot, and I no longer wish to quarrel, I offer a truce, ignoring anything that may have come between us. If we don't, it may affect the gameplay, and that would most likely upset not only the game itself, but BloodOnWhitePetals, who would so desperately hard to create it for us." 3nodding "So, truce?"

"But the reason I wanted my character to come from the Dalelands is solely for the purpose of obtaining a masterwork quarterstaff. Yes, I know that's metagame thinking, and it's very wrong to do that, but I wasn't considering the roleplaying aspect of it all. If you really want me to, I'll change it. However, I still wish to be from a Human region."

I wasn't being an a*****e I was doing what I always do, over analyzing something sweatdrop but that is aside from the point, you have to have realized that D&D is my major hobby, I have a pile of D&D books that date back as far as before I was born whee anywho, sorry if I came off as being an a**, but the last person I tried to point out that certain areas are set up as part of history for a reason descided to ask me a million and one questions so I explained and explained and explained, but he just didn't get it so I just kind of threw it all down at once heh heh heh... gomen ^___^

Not only do I have the book, and look through it often, but it's always right behind me, so I always check something before I say it.

No need to change it, but I have to admit that if your going to make a character for a Roleplaying Game, be ready to make up a Roleplay reason for him to have that stuff, I would have asked your character the questions about it as my character anyways so it is a good idea to have your character down pact in advanced, my character is kind of an archiveist anyways ^_^

"No, it's okay. I've never played DnD before; however, I still know the basics. It was obvious that DnD is a major hobby of yours, but I still shouldn't have retaliated like I did. I just hate it when people try to correct me, and it's my fault for lashing back out at you when I should have taken your words for wisdom or constructive critisism. If you are that great of knowledge, then right here, right now, tell me what I should do, and I'll most likely listen (unless I'm still feel a little stubborn.) Or maybe we could work something out. Plus, another reason I didn't want to make my Druid come from a Half-Orc/Orc region is because I strive for the unique, and I admire change and difference." sweatdrop "God... I really know how to talk, don't I? I really need to stop..."

"I may or may not have explained the reason for my character's existence in the human region, but if you read his profile (which the like is somewhere a page or two back) it explains everything. It's a little cheesy, yet I'm worried that it may seem a little too farfetched, being that his father is a barbarian, possibly being in a place that he should have never been in the first place. But, other than that, my character did grow up with his Human mother, and that should basically explain the rest (unless for some reason others hate Half-Orcs in that region.)"

Come up with something that staples him for being from the Dalelands, such as his mother when he was young and he went looking for the father that was never around guided by the mans bond animal, ummm aside from that it is upto your creativity, after all I am only the bozo trying to get the GM to pass a race and class that I ran by some of the guys that designed the 3.5 rules ^__^

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. You are not born into your class. Not exactly. You may be born into a life that essentially is your class (being born into a life of thievry and so on) but you are not born into a class. this is DIRECTLY from the PHB. "A character's class is his or her profession or vocation." So, to say you're born into a class is like saying that you're "born" to be a McDonalds manager, or a Dentist. You are not born into your class. You can be raised to learn your class (being raised by Druids means you're very likely to have Druid as at least one of your classes, likewise, being raised by bandits means you're very likely to have Rogue in there somewhere), but you're not born a Rogue, or anything else. With the exception of Sorcerer, because Sorcerer's have magic in their blood, so they technically are born into that class.

"Well, to explain everything, the mother lives in the Dalelands, the father was banished from his tribe, the mother saved him, they fell in love, the Druidic society deemed their relationship unhealthy, the father had to leave, the mother took care of the child under the instructions of the Druidic society. (Now, I won't give the society a specific name because I know no specifics, but also unless I need to use him in a different campaign setting.) Well, that's a wrap, I guess. I'm gonna go draw up my character (who's looking cool, by the way.)"

Heh, you sound like a fun person to play D&D with, but remember no one gets to read the DMG or monster manuel while playing the game blaugh Kinda hard to enforce that in forum RPGing like this, since that would essentially mean never looking in them again. I don't look up a monster in the monster manual, and if I do, it's only for a picture. But yeah, we don't look through that stuff in normal sessions. I don't like players looking through any of the books in the middle of a game, unless there's a good reason (looking up a spell for example). Technically, I believe the rules state nothing other than the PHB, so all the other books aren't allowed, which means anything not in the PHB you need to copy if you need it (like spells). But, if someone needs to look up a spell, I'm not going to be a nazi about it. But they've no reason to look at the DMs Guide or MM during a session, so I don't allow them to.
