chapu33 Kira Inuko I don't like any of the Seriyu seven. I just don't really like Tomo, Ashitare, and Miboshi. same here..i think the only one i like is amiboshi though sweatdrop suboshi's hanging on the border line (dont hate him, dont like him, dont love him, but im watching him stare lol j/k but yea, we'll see how it ends once i get the last volume...or 13 stressed crap, it goes to 18 with genbu kaiden huh??)  i thought this was the last volume before i recently found out about the others sweatdrop oh! i forgot to say i didnt really hate soi that much either. the way she dies it so jacked up!! i cant believe she was in love with nakago (but then again i can since that incident when she was smaller..) then she ended up sacrificing herself for him?!? i read it and had mixed emotions (couldnt decide whether to scream, "u idiot! dying for a guy like that!" scream or have a sad solemn moment for her flashbacks and love "declaration" heart

i got it!!! 4laugh volume 13 that is 3nodding came pretty darn close to tears by the end of it all but had to suck it in since i was at barnes & noble cry why does everyone have to die and even the surviving ones go back and leave miaka with nothing but pictures (sorry, i see the glass as half empty most of the time sweatdrop ) beautiful ending tho...heck, if it made me tear up a little then i know it was a great story! 3nodding

Kay, lemme start my rant by stating that I HATE Nakago. It's not just because he's the villain or blond or ever a b*stard at that. I've seen Trigun a million times and I IDOLIZE Knives Millions and Legato Blue Summers even after their lets-make-a-genocide-and-starve-the-innocent sprees...but that's a diff. anime. The point is that I felt no worthy basis for Nakago's manipulations. There was no "the-ends-justify-the-means" scenario, there was only his thirst for revenge and power. If anything, the blond Shogun needed a psychiatrist more than the throne of Kutou.
Okay, he was abused as a child etc. etc. Someone once told me that he just wanted to be loved, but if that were so WHY DID HE SCORN SOI? I mean he practically used her as a recharge battery (which brings up the issue of why he carried her around even after her death eek ). I think in the end, he just let himself be tainted by all the pain in his past and he pretty much just did all his cruel actions for morbid pleasure. Either way, in conclusion: hate the guy...glad he's dead! *runs over his cold corpse with a tractor* blaugh

Opaaru (which brings up the issue of why he carried her around even after her death eek ) I think he did that because he really did love her, but didn't realize it until after she was dead. Or something. I dunno. It's been a while since I read the one where Soi died, so maybe I'm just imagining things.

I think you guys are a bit to hard on Yui... I mean, come on... You guys should have read the two intelligent arguments on this board... Yui was in a strange world and got raped, she didn't know Miaka had broken the bond between them. Come on, haven't any of you been taken advantage of? If you were in that situation, wouldn't you do the same? I would have. But I admit, over a course of like a week I would come to my senses and realize I was a b***h and I should burn in hell for what I did.. To an extent. Yui did take it a bit far.
As for Miaka, she is a little naiive and immature, don't you think? and her relationship with Tamahome IS kind of unrealistic. I just feel bad for poor Yui... and Miaka, also.. Hmm.. FY is just altogether sad..

I like Yui's character, and i can sort of understand why she turned evil. I mean, come on, she was transported to an entirely different world where she was almost raped and she thought her best friend had abandoned her, but then Nakago came to her rescue and acted like he loved her(which i think he did) He was her only source of comfort, who was she supposed to trust, but everyone has their own opinions, she did go a bit far but there are so many ways you could look at it. At first, i thought Nakago was so evil, but i loved the part where he died because you found out about his past and why he was so evil. I really sympathized with him after that crying

I absolutely love Hotohori. He's my favorite Suzaku warrior, then comes Tamahome, Chichiri, and Tasuki. Yuu Watase is like a God to me heart biggrin

So here is my opinion on it. I think it was because of the fact they knew they were from different worlds and they have helped Miaka fulfill her destiny, even if it did take a while for it to happen. As for why they had to die, it was also that way in retrospect. They each helped Miaka grow and she helped them in her own ways. I'm just relieved that Yui was finally willing to listen. Sure it was a difficult road and there were deaths that could have been avoided if it would have happened sooner, but then where would the story be? ^_~ Finally, I think Nakago did hit a soft spot with his last words. Not sure what it was though. If I find it again, I will definitely let you know. Meanwhile, I will be anxiously awaiting volume 14. ^^
