Hey, if any of you haven't seen Gungrave, you really should check it out.
Real quick premise:
Harry and Brandon are best friends. They've grown up together on the tough streets of the city, and survive through petty thefts and little gang brawls over small parts of territory. One day, their lives are turned upside down after their other friends, Nathan, Jolice and Frank get killed. Enter Millenion. The biggest Mafia family in the city, and the primary power behind the underworld. Harry and Brandon enter Millenion and within 5 years they become part of Big Daddy's Family (A group of 140 people out of the 8000 person organization that have incredible power either financially or physically). Harry's thirst for power isn't satisfied, however, and thus a chain of events begins that will turn Brandon into the powerful Beyond the Grave, and his new mission will be the unthinkable: To kill Harry, his best friend.
So yeah, check it out. It's from the guy who made Trigun. Awesome story, character designs and art. Two thumbs up. ^_^

My cuz let me borrow that series a while ago. And this post reminded me that I have a pile of anime series (about 5 different ones ^_^; ) that the same cuz as before let me borrow. One of which is Gungrave. From the summary, it sounds really interesting. And if it's from the same author as Trigun, it should be a good series. I should go watch it soon. (It's been sitting there on my shelf for about 3 weeks now, collecting dust.) XP

Yes, it is a wonderful series, art wise, story wise and character wise.
Brandon Heat is THE biggest badass of all time imo.
