I'm allergic to milk, aka lactose intolerant
Mildly
But enough that drinking milk makes me feel ill, ditto for yogurt but not as much

You know, I didn't know that people could become lactose-intolerant. Until the 7th grade.

Clockwork Sun You know, I didn't know that people could become lactose-intolerant. Until the 7th grade.
I'm one of those people
Actually, I was LI when I was a baby and had to drink soymilk formula and then grew out of it when I was 6 or 7 and now I've started growing back into it since 8th grade
It's gotten worse lately D;

You get to eat/drink everything soymilk!

I don't like soymilk, though
I like chocolate soymilk, but the regular kind is like... it LOOKS like milk, but it tastes all weird

Lord Thatlatu of the Tofu Clockwork Sun Well, look at it this way:

That or become a rock star.
@ Freckle: Well, it IS made from beans.

You have to get used to the taste, because it's not what you usually associate with healthy white substances. Although cows' milk is much worse for you than soymilk. I suggest mixing it in with your Oregon Chai. (yes, you can get Oregon Chai in un-Oregon places; it's one of our MANY exports, along with Tillamook Cheese, Nike athletic footwear, and Intel CPU's.)

My dad used to drink Oregon Chai all the time before he went on a diet
And my mom made me the non-caffeinated kind when I was sick
It's goooood stuff

It's goooood stuff xD It is! Seriously, mix it with soymilk. That'll make your system more used to said soymilk, which will make it less weird to drink alone.

I had lactose-free milk (not soymilk, it like has some weird enzyme in it) with my cereal this morning
At least it didn't make me gassy discomfortable, but it tasted like the absence of taste D:
