I love Black Sabbath's version of it, because the music and lyrics perfectly encapsulate the mind of an addict... The blindness, the denial of reality, the love for their addiction, the utter hopelessness of it...it's amazing. I'm glad it's not the same song! And you're glad, why....? (just curious, as there are many different reasons to be glad about that) I don't like Ozzy. Nor Black Sabbath. Over-rated druggy isn't my type. Ozzy = over rated druggy. Black Sabbath however isn't. And seeing as Ozzy didn't actually really do anything for them it's not fair to judge them by him. Especially considering that he was only with them for about the first 10 years out of a 30 + year career. But if the band had Ozzy in it, I probably don't want to listen to it. Anyways, I just don't like their music. Right, because the vocalist makes the music.... Just one thing...if the Styx song is about cocaine use also, then how do the members of Styx not qualify as overrated druggies, too? xp Oh yes. I may have just ******** with the sacred cow, but I went there. ninja Tommy Shaw might have done drugs when he was younger, but he is still coherent now. Oh, sorrow, we're sorry about the banner thread. We moved back to the right thread... eventually. Irrelevant. Heh....I don't like him either, but I do give him credit. It said something for him when some years back he said he didn't want Black Sabbath to be in the R&R hall of fame because it was bullshit....it sort of proved his point when they said that bands would be inducted against their will if they refused to be in there or not. He's also known for his witty comments here and there. That said...I'll quit hi-jacking the thread. Enjoy your Styx discussion.
