When I saw the movie Shimotsuma Monogatari based on the novel and manga by Novala Takemoto, the protagonist Momoko Ryugasaki wore Lolita clothes, which I thought were admirable. 3nodding
Well, I have always been a fan of Victorian and Rococo dresses. 3nodding

Well, at first, I thought it was called 'Gothica Lolita'. I must have miss heard it. But I knew that they were dolly clothes. Yet, now I know there's more to it. I started watching Rozen Maiden (I posted a thread about it in 'Entertainment and Writing') nd from there, I grew into the adorble clothing. And after a while, I got into Yousei Teikoku, and her album Gothic lolita propaganda.
Heard --> Watched Rozen Maiden --> Did research --> Fell in love --> Researched 'Gothic lolita' on youtube (stupid, I know) and found 'Gothic Lolita Propaganda' -->J rock/j-pop --> More lolita

Well, I can't really remember, but it was probably the internet. sweatdrop
I've always loved frills and lace, so lolita was just... normal, I guess?
Sometimes I regret becoming a fan of the style (or at least my wallet does), but then I look at Mary Magdalene's site... and... well, I'm sure you know what I mean. heart
...actually, I think Baby brainwashed me.

I was born into it. My grandmother was very old world style and traditional. Her mother lived during the 1800's so it was common for her to see these elegant styles growing up. When she came to America, she brought the style with her and she taught elegance and beauty to me since as far back as I can remember. The rest, as they say, is history.
