Kyrenx lilaznpinoy416 i may be a begginer but this bass looks nice and its from 1 of my favorite basses from 1 of my favorite bands its mark hoppus from blink-182's bass [*insert bass pic here*] or besides that i would wanna get this bass... its from another 1 of my favorite bands green day the bassist Mike Dirnt his bass [*insert bass pic here*] *drools* I'm not meaning to be mean or anything but im going to be blunt... but personally... i'm not a fan of Mark Hoppus or his bass. One volume knob and no tone knobs for me is just not enough control... but that's just me. Mike Dirnt is a pretty kool bassist but once again I think his bass isnt at all that impressive either. One tone and one volume knob is still not enough customizable control for me... although it is a step up from the Mark Hoppus bass. But as I said, this is just my opinion. But if you like the tone to begin with, then the lack of tone controls would not be a huge deal.

I guess.. but it just seems like a waste to pay so much for a bass if it doesnt even have tone flexability. But as we've established already... that's just me.

Yeah, I would also want something with more flexibility, but choosing a bass is such personal decision. If thats what he wants, than thats what he should get. 3nodding

(heck.. i sometimes dont know what I want in an amp...(damn countless possibilities xd ). Most beginners ive seen whom buy guitars (and basses) generally buy them for how they look and rather than how they play or sound. Bur then again, who am I to tell them what they want.. I guess all I can do is offer them my personal opinion and whether they trust my word or trust someone else is totally up to them. So either way, keep on rockin you!

realisticaly, im trying to decide on that edb605gp, or another ibanez, the sr505bm. but, if i were to have a dream bass, i think ide have to change it from the edb which i said earlier, and go with this Ritter bass here. i about lost it when i saw this thing...

Good stuff, that one. That'd be exactly what I have... Got it for about $500 at a local shop.

[ Absolut Terror ] angrymalazar Here's my soon to be baby: I'm gonna get that in 5-string and black, too. I, personally, think Fender should stick to four-string. But if you like it, then go for it. Be sure you try it first. We'll go to Guitar Center one time. Spector Legend 5 is sooo much better (but also more expensive wink ) My dream bass is a Conklin 9-string bass tuned F#BEADGCFBb. This Conklin right here (made for Avon Lucas) is a wonderful bass, and I'd like something like it (though I'm a fan of single cuts, myself.)

Eh...he's the one who's told me this. Just for future reference, he's my friend and classmate. I learned almost everything I know about bass from him.
