Mauli smiled, a hint of sadness on her face, as Acia began to chitter. Aww... It so OBVIOUSLY wasn't a rant. She held out her hand, then slowly stroked Acia's head, the sadness dissapearing. "That's alright, girlie... It was all a big mistake, y'know?"
Remy listened to Acia chitter, his mind reeling. He... could... understand her. o___o He must have read some book on sugar gliders before, or maybe it was just natural. But he heard every apologetic tone, and it made him happy, and a bit scared.

Though comforted somewhat by Mauli's hand, Acia couldn't help but feel she hand't explained well enough. Poor thing, she was so confused. Isto liked Mauli, and Mauli liked Isto, but someone threw meat at her and..now they hated each other? And then, and then, Remy had attacked Isto to protect his sister, but Isto didn't just tell him to stop! Isto HURT HIM! Intentionally!! WHY WOULD ISTO PUNCH A FRIEND?!....She was so confused. And so, just about everything in her chittered speech was, 'I know Isto doesn't really hate you, and I'm really, really sorry that he hit Remy! Please don't hate us?? Please?!?'

"She thinks we hate her." Remy mumbled, earning a stare from Mauli.
"We... Don't, though..." Mauli blinked, not even bothering to ask how he knew. She continued rubbing Acia's head. "We're not mad at you, Acia, and I think Remy's mad at Isto because of me.. But other than that, we don't hate you."
"Speak for your bloody self." Remy mumbled again, looking past Acia and towards the kitchen. Dang, his stomach was burning!

Acia abruptly fell silent, glancing past Mauli to Remy... She quietly squeaked an apology, then turned and began jumping down the steps. Mauli'd forgiven her, and that was good, but... Remy still hated her. And they were both probably still mad at Isto...and there was nothing she could do about it, because they couldn't understand her. No one could...

"Where's she going?" Mauli asked, nudging Remy.
Remy blinked, then bounded down the stairs, cutting Acia off. "Waitasecond." He squeaked out, then cleared his throat, letting off a few odd-sounding chitters. Basically, they meant 'We're sorry, forgive us', but it might also have been mistaken for 'That's my doughnut in your pants'. Depends on if he had spoken sugar glider or flying squirrel... He'd see in a moment.

Acia blinked...and then her mouth dropped open, and she stared at Remy. What he'd actually said was more like 'We're sorry there's a doughnut in your pants', but Acia figured he'd just mixed up his words a bit. She wasn't wearing pants, after all. But he was talking to her, and he did say they were sorry, so....they didn't hate her? They didn't hate her?! ...YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Chittering happily, Acia nodded. Psh, they didn't even need to ask! Forgiven, forgiven, what had they done in the first place? She glances back up the stairs to Mauli and gestures her to follow, then begins leaping from step to step, heading back downstairs. As she climbed, she chittered an explanation, figuring Remy would translate to Mauli. She was taking them to her lab, where they could get some supplies to fix Mauli's ankle. And they needn't worry. She would avoid the kitchen...and Isto.

Remy relayed this information to Mauli, then grinned. "I can talk to sugar gliders... How awesome is that?!"
Mauli laughed, then winced, following Remy and Acia down the stairs. "S'awesome!" She replied, leaning against the banister for support. "Maybe you can learn how to talk to other animals too, like the other Velveteens!"

Acia didn't have any breath to spare for talking. Her lab was alllllll the way on the other side of the house, and Mauli was hurt! Eck, Mauli would be even more hurt by the time they reached the lab... But there was Jack! Wow, that was well timed.
Rushing forward, she dove at Jack's leg, clung on for dear life, and climbed up to sit on his shoulder, chittering loudly in his ear and pointing to Mauli. The Jivvin anthro's first reaction was to clamp his hands over his ears, scowling at the little glider. "LOUD! What is it?"
Acia sighed and grabbed him by the ear, turning his head towards Mauli and Remy. Jack 'Ooooohhh'ed softly when he noticed the limp, then pulled his ear free and glances back to Acia. "Where ya headin'?"
Acia squeaked n_n
"Labs, right, gotcha." Nodding knowingly, Jack stepped over to Mauli, flashed her a grin and...scooped her up into his arms, setting out for Acia's lab. "What 'appened t' your foot?"

Mauli yelped, wrapping her arms around Jack's neck and holding on for dear life. "F-fell outta a tree," She managed to stutter, "Landed on it wrong." Then, she shut her eyes, trying desperately not to look down. She'd never been carried like this before, and it scared the CRAP outta her.
Remy literally fell over laughing. ((XDDDD!!!))

Grinning cheekily, Jack shook his head in mock-despair at Mauli's fear, tossing her up and inch of so before easily catching her...just to piss her off, of course. He pretty much ignored Remy, pleased with the teal SM's reaction, but not bothering to respond to it. He tossed her once more, caught her, spun around in a circle, then continued towards the labs, chuckling softly. "Fell out of a tree, hmm? Funny, I thought monkeys could climb."

With each toss, Mauli squealed, trying desperately not to look down. "Jack, stop!" She screamed, screwing her eyes closed even tighter. "Getting... sick..."
Remy finally stumbled to his feet, then followed the two anthros, his sides heaving with laughter. This was better than reading!

Jack was about to toss her again when her heard 'sick'. Grimacing, he tightened his grip somewhat, striding purposely in the direction of the labs. "Ehh, I'll stop. But y'better not throw up on me, aye?"

"I promise that, if I throw up, it will not be directed at you." Mauli laughed nervously, unhooking her hands from around his neck. If he dropped her, she'd shove her foot so far up his as-
"Oi, Mauli... Having fun?" Remy asked cheekily, smirking and reclining on his hind legs as he looked up at her.
"Loads!" She replied, winking. "How about you give it a try next?"

The pirate Jivvin chuckled softly, turning another two corners and taking a short cut through the Grand Hall. "Aye, Remy'll be fun t' toss around. He'll be much easier t' throw than you, Mauli." He grinned, winking. "Not as fat, y' know?"

"Yah, well, the only fat I know of is the fat holding me up right now." Mauli laughed, elbowing Jack in the chest.
Remy snorted. "And the only fat I see is the two of you! Let's go! Mauli's still gotta feed me."
"One, that was lame. Two, feedjerself!" Mauli glared back at Remy.
"I refuse." Remy jutted out his chin, grinning.
