I took taekwon do 4 years ago. I was just promoted to high yellow( that's what my cousin said) but didn't continue, all my class mates were boys and I haven't been to a formal taekwondo fight yet . stare
Now I take Wing chun informal and I get to fight all the time. Yet this time I'm still the only girl. My school sucks we don't have any martial arts as P.E. except arnis. Since I now dislike Koreans I have no intentions of continuing but still like to Kick. Though it did make me more flexible.

I said it before, but I guess no one saw that post. I'm taking tai chi now.
@Kana: Chinese Fan Dance, huh? I had to learn that back in 2nd year high school. It was for PE in the 2nd quarter (later half of 1st semester), which happened to be foreign dances. Don't worry; you didn't discourage me. I'm actually pissed that I don't have time to go the the varsity team (I don't think I need to explain that) practices anymore, especially since the coach said that he was considering signing me up... gonk
@goddessanime: Ooooooh, that sucks. In AdMU there are a lot of PE classes we can choose from, but then, it's only until 2nd year. Why don't you take it formally? And believe me, entering a tournament is a little nerve-wracking, but it was fun. 3nodding

As I said I did develop a dislike for Korean stuff, besides I have Wing chun every sunday it's fun there though we don't get tournaments. I trying to focus on computer stuff for now and after taking another art I think I will be confused , use it, and I see the weakness of Taekwondo against other arts. I would love a tournament. A good reason to hit someone.

My master/distant cousin told me that the one of the main requirements for Tai chi is good knees or at least don't have a bad knee.

That's true. 3nodding You're in a semi-squat position for almost the entire exercise/form. The only time you're not are during the commencing and closing motions.

But you're not always in that stance, mind you. Your legs are moving, too. It's hard to explain 'cause there's a way to move forward and backward that's...unique to tai chi.
