Demyx squeaked happily as his hair was ruffled, a grin crossing his face.
"Yes...yes we do...and I'm gonna make you proud."
The blonde nodded to himself. He would train and he would make Kadaj proud. The silver haired one was the first to truely believe in his abilities, and for that Demyx felt inspired to really prove his worth.

Kadaj smirked to himself as he banished the score of Creepers he'd summoned. Summoning had, like many things, gotten much easier as he'd grown older. Now a lanky teenager, Kadaj was simply learnign how to fine tune what tricks he knew.
Granted, summoning some of the greater beasts was still next to impossible without a materia stash... but he was willing ot work with what he had. Turnign shimmering green eyes to his minion, he called out cheerfully, "Oy! How's your practicing coming along, Dem?"

Demyx, who had grown as well but wasn't quite a teenager yet (though it wouldn't be much longer before his next birthday), was currently struggling to hold together his latest water creation. Said creation was actually a mirror image of himself...though of course made out of water. Tail twitching and tongue sticking out of his mouth in concentration, the blonde cast one quick glance to Kadaj.
"It's going good boss!"
The water form faultered, and thus Demyx immediately returned his attention to it and struggled to maintain the form once again. He eventually returned it to a somewhat steady state, though it was taking all his concentration to hold it there.

Kadaj moved towards Demyx adn stared at the water creation. Finally, he smiled approvingly and gave his minion a nod.
"Very nice! Remind me to lavish you with cookies later, all right?"
He reached out to ruffle his minion's hair, knowing full well tha he would probably destroy all concentration. But hey, it was part fo the training as far as the silver haired cat boy was concerned. When Demyx finally mastered holding the water forms even when distracted, he'd be a force to be reckoned with.

"Mmmm cookies!"
Despite having grown, cookies still held the same power over Demyx as they had from the first time he and Kadaj had met. It was doubtful the blonde would ever lose the childish side of himself.
And, while the attention was quite nice, it did indeed break his concentration and reduced the water form to a puddle on the ground...after soaking Demyx first. Most cat boys probably would have freaked out about being so wet, but being of the water element it didn't really bother Demyx. Though the sudden cold wasn't that nice...
"Mmrph..."
The blonde shook his head, sending water droplets flying from the tip of his mullet and spikey bangs.

Prepared for just such a contingency, Kadaj scooped a towel off of the ground and threw it over Demyx's head, toweling his friend off briskly.
"Sorry about that, Dem, but y'gotta learn and I don't know how else to help teach you."

Demyx squeaked, flailing a bit at the sudden lack of visibility due to the towel.
"Mmrph...I dunno if I'll ever get it boss...it's hard....."
Calming down, Demyx stood and allowed the silver haired one to dry him off.

He pulled the towel down around Demyx's shoulder and gae his minion a friendly headbutt.
"Now, you want to try again or go get cookies?"

Demyx snickered, swatting playfully at the other cat boy.
That, however, was a dilema. Cookies tempted him as they always did. But the will to make his boss proud had been engraved in his mind early on, and further training himself was sure to do that. So how to make a compromise...?
"Can I give it one more try before we get cookies boss?"

"Of course," Kadaj replied smoothly.
He stepped back so Demyx wouldn't feel crowded and crossing his arms over his chest, prepared to watch his minion give it another go.

Demyx gave his typical silly grin before going back to his face of heavy concentration...tongue hanging out included.
After a moment the usual ball of water formed, and after a moment longer it stretched and folded onto itself until it had formed a water clone....of Kadaj.
Green eyes twitching slightly Demyx struggled to hold the form together, and even have it move around a bit. It was the first time he had attempted movement with such a large waterform, but amazingly enough he seemed to be doing it just fine. The form wavered a bit, but it managed to actually stay together and strike a typical Kadaj pose.

Kadaj found himself blinkign in surprise as a water clone of himself appeared. Then, he gave a bark of laughter and applauded.
"Oh well done, Dem," he crowed.
Some might have viewd it as impertinence, but Kadaj chose to see it as flattery of the highest form. After all, as far as he was concerned, only two poeple mattered. Himself and Demyx. Everyone else wasn't really needed.

But, again, responding was drawing his attention. He didn't want the water form of his boss to go out quite like the other had, so Demyx quickly chose to dismiss it in a flurry of bubbles. Less messy that way...and wet.
The disappearing bubbles left behind a panting Demyx, worn out from the physical and mental strain of holding together the waterforms.
"I think I'll take you up on those cookies now..if that's alright."
He gave a bit of a fidget. He didn't like making anything that could be viewed as a demand. It could get him in trouble.

Striking a mock heroic pose, Kadaj grinned.
"Then you shall get those cookies! And not so much of the 'sir', eh? I'm just Kadaj. Or boss."
Winkign one green eye to show he was teasing, Kadaj draped his arm over Demyx's shoulder, just in case his minion needed any help after his efforts.

Tail swishing a bit as Kadaj draped his arm around his shoulders, Demyx shot the silver haired one a grin. Despite being boss and minion, Demyx had grown rather attatched to Kadaj as a friend...well pretty much the only friend he had.
