takeshi_sakami i dislike typin correctly for i am not in english class 3nodding In Vague's defense, you may not be in English class, but you are being judged. Poor typing on the Internet is the equivalent of going to a coffee shop dressed in rags and smelling of stale liquor. It's unseemly.

takeshi_sakami i care little of peoples opinions for me. if he thinks lesser of my cuz i dont type grammatically correct, thats his problem. i dont wish to type correctly cuz its not the kind of person i am. 3nodding Well, it doesn't mean that he won't be your friend, but it does mean that a lot of people will prejudge you. I don't exclude myself. I tend to think less of people who don't type properly until I slowly get to know them. It's a very natural and healthy thing. It's the reason you probably wouldn't ask a leper out on a date. It's not because the leper is a bad person. and i know people prejudge me. but that just showes that they dont have open minds and arent very accepting towards new things. and if that is the case..then that is their problem.

We're running down similar lines here. If it's a choice, then I have to disagree with you strongly. If it's a part of who you are, then I can accept it, but it makes me uncomfortable. A goth Satanist arrives for an interview. In his resume, he shows that he is a honors graduate from Harvard School of Business. He has an MBA in marketing, and he minored in operations management. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in consumer marketing at Notre Dame. But... he shows up at the interview dressed in black, gothic garb. He is wearing makeup, and he carries a symbol of Baphomet on his neck. His hair is dyed blood red, and he has a piercing on his brow and across his septum. His resume is impressive, but I'd have to tell him that I'll call him if a position opens. That is, I'd bid him adieu. His dress shows me that he has little respect for what is considered appropriate business attire. As such, I may assume that he is going to be tardy half the time, and drunk the other half. Or worse, high. I cannot take that risk. Therefore, while judging him IS my problem, it is also my right, my responsibility, and my guarantee that I will get what I want out of the person that I choose to hire: discipline and dependability. takeshi_sakami and i be exactly who i am. and i do accept the concequences. am i not sitting right here talkin to another about it? 3nodding Quite true. takeshi_sakami homosexuality a choice? no. no way in hell. its something that just is. i remember that i used to hate it. i hate myself for being gay. cuz i was brought up in a family that is so against homosexuality. i hated gays. and i hated myself. i wuz one of those people who didnt talk to anyone and stuff like that. then i met chris. and he wuz that kind of person that i am. very optomistic and open and stuff like that. and well...he opened me up. and he rubbed off on me to. and i wouldnt be the person i am today if i had never met him. i would be a gay hater. who is gay. and well...that just ******** dum. XD! You missed my point, but it was more of a pointed retort, so I won't go into it. I'll just say that I don't think homosexuality is a choice. There's the rub. You associate typing well with work. For me, it's become second nature. I don't have to try to type well because I've been doing it for so long. In fact, I actually have to go through a lot of effort to type poorly. For me to type in all lowercase, I actually have to force-hold my pinky up so that it doesn't touch the shift key as it's wont to. takeshi_sakami but other people enjoy doin it, and thats who they are. 3nodding im just...not that person XD! True. Some people enjoy wearing suits to job interviews, too. The world caters to those people, but it's for a good reason: it works. Language can be understood more easily when it's formatted in a universal way. If we all spelt and spoke whatever way we liked, we'd have a hell of a problem communicating. takeshi_sakami o no you are definatly not an a*****e. i enjoy being able to have a decent conversation with someone. its kinda hard to find people who know how to have one. i like it =D! wink xd Oh my God! Considering that Old and Middle English evolved into the universal grammar and spellings we have today (though the US still loves using "color" and "favor"), it's best we preserve it somehow, and if you don't choose to do it here, that's your personal choice. But just remember there was a time when universal education was unheard of and people really did just sound everything out.
Not pleasant at all...

i think having your own style of typing shows creativity though. and creativity is always a plus =D!

I'm guilty of it too, but it's only in IMs. Anything else, e-mails, PMs, posts, written work are all as grammatically correct as possible. How I love that edit button...
The frightens me, and from what I've heard it's already passed into speech. If anyone says "O-M-G!!!!oneone!" aloud near me, I'm going to backhand them then use a unabridged dictionary and repeat the process.
Make that two references for you not being an a*****e. 3nodding

takeshi_sakami appearance doesnt say much to me. i see it as just how you wish to dress. wut makes you feel comftorable. you could be the ceo of some huge corp. and be wearing some halloween costume for all i care. just because you wear something doesnt mean you are any different than you were yesterday. 3nodding Very true. It doesn't affect the perception of the person that we know, but it does affect first impressions. That's the only place where it really plays a role. If I just met a guy my friend wanted me to hook up with, and he was dressed in drag, I'd probably be turned off. It doesn't mean he's a bad person, but I do judge him as a poor partner for me. We, as humans, do that a lot. Sometimes we don't even realize we're doing it. It's not really a bad thing. I try to be creative in my use of words. The creation of a parrot named Morris and my continual facetiousness in this guild, I believe, show that. While my spelling may follow generally accepted guidelines, it does not keep me from expressing myself as a robust individual. Neither does my proper spelling keep me bottled up. I am, in fact, rather unbottled.
