Kish'ya snuggled between the rocks and the ground, shifting until she was comfortable once more. The rocks protected her from others lions, predators, and the elements, while the sand reminded her of her king that she cared so much about, and that this was her home now - warm and sunny. With a sigh, she pushed the sand about with her paw for a moment before resting it under her chin and closing her eyes.

With a weary simle thedecorated cub sat on the edge of the lands, tail moving slowly like a pendulum. The desert had always been his home, and he was not about to let that change. With a failed effort the cub attempted to let out a roar to alert the king of his arrival, but it came out as more of a squealing growl. With a puzzled frown, Red waited where he was, not wanting to intrude unwelcome.

Luckily, the Desert King was returning from the North Riverbanks with his calico charge. The bright red of the cub stood out against the browns and golds of a desert. Not to mention a flaming tail was hard to miss. "Kish'ya, stay here..."
Mika padded up to the odd male. "Well met..."

Illitashia moved back toward the ruins after watching all traces of her daughter and Sabastian dissappear beyond the horizon. She walked slowly, thinking about their new-found happiness, and wondering at her son. 'The only thing that will make him better is Leanna's return.' She decided. 'Sun Lion Help Me 'Till then...'

Red's tail twitched as the adult approached him, "You are the king, I presume?" He stayed put, but bowed his head in respect. He was a well-mannered cub, and taught respect and pride rules at an early age, as well as how to speak properly. For his age, he was well ahead in knowledge.
Kish'ya watched her king greet the flaming cub. He was a curious one... She sat down, not knowing how long it would take, "Okay..."

"You presume correctly." Secretly he was impressed with the cubs manners. Very rare to find them in a young lion. "And what would you have with me?"

The cub's nose twitched as it caught the scent of the calico behind the king. He kept his attention on Mika, though, "You may call me Red XIII if you so please, though what you call me is your choice." He bowed his head lower, "But I see that you are in charge of this pride, and if it pleases you, I would like to call it home as do you." He bowed his head slightly lower now, the feathers dancing with each slight movement.

The large male tilted his head, considering the thought. When the cub reached adult hood, he would make a worthy advisor. "Very well...you may stay."

With a smile, the cub rose and stepped across the border into Mika's lands, "And I see you were with someone - I apologize for interrupting..." With an expectant and calm smile he looked to his new king, his flaming tail swaying slowly behind him.

"Kish'ya and I were only on our way home." He shook, some water spraying from his coat. God, he hated being wet! Worth the experience of seeing the calico's excitement at being able to swim however. "Kish'ya?"

Red pulled back at the water with a small wrinkle forming on his nose.
Kish'ya bounded over to Mika and the new cub with excitement, "Yes?"
Red looked over the female with curiosity - she, too, was wet, which gave her a pecurliar look. He cocked his head to one side wiht curiosity and interest.

Mika nodded to Red. "This is Red XIII, he will be living with us." The Desert King smiled fondly at the calico. "You can show him around the ruins."

Kish'ya smiled at the strange lion before her, "Hello! My name is Kish'ya - nice to meet you, Red XIII! I'd be happy to show you around the ruins."
Red blinked at her as her words snapped him back to reality, "You may call me Red, if you wish." With a hidden smile, he turne dback to the king, "Thank you for letting me join you." He bowed his head deeply once more, feathers sweeping the sand lightly.

Kish'ya nodded and tried to keep pacde beside her king. She looked slightly back at the newcomer, "C'mon!"
With a twitch of his nose, Red followed slightly behind them with a small smile set into his face. 'Home...'
