((Well, I was going to post it, but that's basically right. XD So no worries.))
"She'll stay like that until you keep the ring on. I'm afraid it's a ...grey curse, to put her to sleep like that. So I suggest when she comes out of it, we watch her for a day or so to make sure that she didn't take to it strangely," Val said, apologetically. "But truthfully, I'd rather her sleep than go into something we don't understand." The gypsy ran her hand- now one ring lighter- through her mess of dark hair, and sighed. These days, with the children growing up like they were- so entrenched in so many different sorts of meij- the complications were springing up like weeds among a flowergarden. There was much to think about.
"I will think on this for a few days, and then we'll speak.." Valelldia looked about the startled faces. "In private. Until then- I suggest you... keep her away from sugar," Val said in a low tone, then walked back out onto the street.

Maeko nodded and lifted Anezka into her arms, mouthing the words 'thank you' and 'i'm sorry' to those around her. Getting to her feet, she bowed her head slightly, then carried her daughter back to the Inn to lay her down.

Mitexi bellows the loudest and angriest honk she can manage.
The string was suddenly lighter, and she had looked back to see it had snapped. Her feathers bristle out and she spreads her wings out in full, raising up on her flat feet in surprise and fury.
"QUAAAAAAK WAK WAK WAK!!!" she screams, and before a "What's wrong?" can leave Yuka's lips, the duckling charges full speed ahead after the old dog.
Surely, she knows that ducks aren't meant for running, and even if the dog is old she won't catch up. But nothing, nothing will stop her from trying. Honking loudly and hoarsely, she makes her rampage known to anyone within earshot.
Yuka blinks, completely stunned and confused by what had happened in mere moments of her being distracted.
"Waaaait!!" she shouts after her companion. Gripping her beaded pouch, she takes a deep breath before breaking into a run after the furious little gypsy duckling.

Oqaia ((Mene: to some extent.... twisted I may... jump in....)) The old woman finished her song, her eyes solid on her bright, almost luminescent flute. Only then, did she look up at the two gypsy women. "Greetings. I'm surprised you heard the song..." she said, her voice creaky and breathy... like wind flowing through an old attic door. Heather bowed her head to the old women and got Amkia to rest on her shoulder again. "I am also a flute player, it is rare that I miss one if it is played. Natural reaction I guess!" She chuckled a little looking the women up and down and then turning back to Pan. There was no fear in Heather's eyes, it took alot to scare the young girl when she was in one of these moods.

After depositing her things in a room, Silver had gone out for a while with Aisrhan and Khevashi. She had taken them to what had been one of her favorite places as a child, a small park near the center of the town, less than half a mile from the center courtyard. It was nothing like the fenced in, tree-lined parks you would find in other towns, but filled with boulders for climbing and small, man-made caves for hiding in, remnants from the mountain excavations that had been put to good use. One of three small mountain streams that had been discovered long ago, bubbling out of the floor of the cavelike town, had been diverted to form a small swimming area in the center. The others had been maintained for drinking water. Aisrhan had had a blast. She slithered in and out of rock tunnels, climbed over boulders, and absolutely loved the clear mountain water on her scales. At one point, she hid in a cave and waited for Khevashi to fly past her. He was looking for her, but had no idea she was watching him already. Silver stared in shock as Aisrhan lunged out if the cave and snagged her brother from mid-air. She was suddenly reminded of the girl's snake-like tendencies and ran over to her quickly, worried about Khevashi. When Silver got there, Aisrhan was giggling and Khevashi was happily perched on the girl's shoulder, not a feather out of place, obviously content. Silver sighed. She should have known better. "Stop worrying, you dolt. She loves her brother," she mumbled to herself. "Alright, dears," Silver announced, "it's time to go back. We've yet to claim a bed and our poor Binay is probably tired of the wagon. She needs to be let out." Aisrhan whined at first, but when Silver promised she'd bring her back before they left Seinheph, she grudgingly agreed to leave.
~ * ~ Silver opened the doors to Weathered Melody to find a sleeping Binay resting on the bar Silver had made for Khevashi's perch above Aisrhan's bed. It was wide enough for both of them to share, and when Khevashi grew, it would belong solely to the Binay. Silver walked over and stroked the black and green head. "Wake up, my dear. Do you want to come with us?" The bird opened her eyes and ruffled her feathers. She trilled a few notes with an obvious "yes". Silver smiled at her, then frowned. "You need a name, sweety. I know I'm supposed to give you one, but try as I might, a suitable name has not come to me..." Then Silver had an idea. Why hadn't she thought of this before? Why not ask the bird? "Um... is there a name you would like to be called by?" Silver asked, quietly, hoping these birds were as special as she'd thought, and could answer her. The wagon was silent. The bird cocked her head at an odd angle to look at Silver, but said nothing. The woman sighed. "Alright then, let's go inside. I'm sure I'll think of something eventually.
~ * ~ Once back inside the inn, Silver nodded a gracious smile at Mr. Phralik as she passed him on their way upstairs and, at his request, promised she'd be there for dinner. Silver, Aisrhan, Khevashi and their Binay went to the room where Silver had dropped their things. Silver soon discovered that Leshya'e's belongings were there as well. Oh good, she thought. Maybe Ani and Aisrhan could spend some time together. She's met Rojiza, but not Anezka, I don't think... Silver picked up her things from the corner and laid them out on one of the four beds. She removed hers and Aisrhan's blankets from the pack. "Alright Ais, would you rather sleep on the floor or in the bed with me?" She looked at her mother curiously. "Yes, we're taking a nap. Later on, I'm taking you to meet my parents, and then we'll be back here for dinner. I know you guys are tired, and since we'll probably be out late, we all need a nap, okay?" Aisrhan crossed her arms grumpily. She wanted to go back to the park. Refusing the bed and one of the spare mattresses, she grudgingly took her blanket from her mother and coiled up on the floor, on top of a large pillow in the corner nearest her mother's bed. Silver figured it reminded her of her own bed, so she let the girl be, and settled into their large comfy bed, herself. Khevashi settled on the headboard and the Binay on one of the posts. Though most would find these uncomfortable places to be, the two birds were right at home.

Silver began to hear a rustling noise in her sleep and awoke to find her Binay staring at her. "I just had the strangest dream... Asirhan told me she was ready, but I didn't know what for, or what she meant... it didn't sound like her. And you..." Silver sat up and stared back at the Binay perched on the post at the foot of her bed. "You're name is Mherudyn. I heard you whisper it to me." She smiled as she turned and got out of bed. Suddenly, she realized she and her family were not alone. Leshya'e was across the room putting Anezka to bed, a worried expression on her face. "Leshya'e? Did something happen? What's wrong?"

"Oh Silver...I didn't see you..." Leshya'e lay Anezka down and covered her in a light blanket, then turned to Silver. "It's...a tad complicated. I guess sugar, or at least sugar in it's more pure state, sends Ani into a sort of tantrum. I should have known, Hadassah warned me, but...It must have slipped my mind." The distraught gypsy sat down on the edge of the bed and sighed. "She's sleeping it off for now...at the behest of Val. It's the best thing for her."

Pan stood next to Heather, glimpsing back at her fellow gypsy sister then back at the woman. "Yes... I heard it. Were we not suppose to?" She looked at the woman a bit puzzled. "I'm sorry if we interupted you. It was beautiful playing of the pan pipe. I dabble in pan pipes as well." She didn't aid the last part of of course, it's in my blood for she wished to hide the fact that she was part satyr from most people. Even if the woman did seem to hold an air of magic about her.

((For Remove & Pan smile )
The woman waited a long while, turning the flute in her hands and looking with eyes encased in a wrinkled tome of wisdom and experience that was her soft, pale skin... before answering the gypsies.
"No... anyone who can hear my song is welcome to it. ...I'm just surprised there were two with such music in their soul that they were open to such a slight noise in all this noise of life." She put the flute out for the two to see.
"Do you know what this is made of?" She handed it to Heather, passing the smooth thing to the younger hands to examine it. "It's Elven Diamonds. Unbreakable. ...What do you think of it?"

((for Mirela: There is a stables nearby with some stablehands around... maybe one of them has a brush, or can talk to you about Tafari... or, a few stores down, there's a 'Ahels General' shop.))
((For Mitexi smile )
Feiro bounded into the main courtyard- or, at least, as well as he COULD bound at his age. Finally, he stopped short of the great statue that waited there. He had heard the whistle of his master- calling him home. The rabbit was forgotten as he dropped it, and followed the whistle.
Mitexi's rabbit, in the meantime, fell into a hole at the base of the statue- just where it met the cobblestones. Only a faded ear stuck out- the rest was tucked into the hole like... well... a rabbit in its warren. However- there was something else in the hole that anyone who reached into it might feel. A small, brown bag.
((You can't rp what's in the bag. 'Cause you don't know yet! Just whether you take it or not. ^_^))

Kale felt strangely comfortable in the dark. His mother was surprised, anyway- she'd expected the baby to perhaps fear the unlight. Contrary, he was quite calm, and liked the cool feeling inside the mine.
Marissa kept her fingers on the vine. She bent when it dipped, and stretched when it ascended, but it was faithful to it's path, deeper and deeper. The curiosity to where it led grew inside the woman, and she followed its path hungrily.
A light. She'd thought she'd imagined it first, but when Kale made a soft, curious noise she knew it was real. "Now...What could that be?" she wondered aloud. Her pace quickened, fingers running across the foliage road, as the light grew brighter and more defined.
Suddenly, as she turned a sharp corner, the yellow light blazed, and a form was illuminated. Before the pair was a small boy, no older than eight, crouched with a beaten lantern. He was dirty, very much so, with dirt up to his elbows and patched on his knees. He huddled in front of what seemed to be a plant, but it was hard to tell. He was sniffing, and tears welled up in his big black eyes.

Maeko-Hana "Oh Silver...I didn't see you..." Leshya'e lay Anezka down and covered her in a light blanket, then turned to Silver. "It's...a tad complicated. The distraught gypsy sat down on the edge of the bed and sighed. "She's sleeping it off for now...at the behest of Val. It's the best thing for her." "Oh dear..." Silver sighed. Poor Ani. After all the gypsies and their children had been through, now they had one more thing to look out for. "I'll certainly do my best to remember that from now on." She walked over and put a hand on Leshya'e's shoulder. "It'll be alright, hon. I'm sure she'll be okay once the effect of the sugar wears off. I trust Val knows what she's doing." Silver crossed the room back to her own bed and picked up her pack from the floor. She woke Aisrhan and Khevashi gently. Silver suspected that Mherudyn had not slept, considering the strangeness of her dreams and how the bird had been watching her when she herself awoke. Aisrhan hissed at having been awakened, as she usually did, but Khevashi merely blinked his eyes several times and began to preen one of his wings. To Silver it looked as though he was saying "Okay, mom, I'm up. What now?" Silver stroked his head lovingly and held out her forearm for him to hop on to, which he obediently did, walking his way up to her shoulder. She found a clean dress for Aisrhan, dressed her and headed for the door. "Mheru, are you coming with us?" The bird lowered her head and remained perched on the bed post. It was definitely a "no". "Alright then. Just don't leave this room, okay? I don't want anything to happen to you." Silver turned her attention back to her friend. "I'll be back in a little while, Lesh. I've still not seen my parents yet. I don't think they even know I'm here. I hope you and Ani get this mess sorted out... I'm sure you will." Silver smiled warmly and hugged Leshya'e on her way out the door, taking her children with her.

Heather looked and listened, music in their soul? Well she had always played her flute, ever since she could remember. "Diamonds?" She looked at the flute some more and knelt down in front of the woman, Amkia taking flight from her shoulder. She wanted a closer look. "Its beautiful...."

The woman's eyes seemed to brighten- and yet, as she tipped her head down to her lap, her face seemed to fade into shadow. She nodded, taking the flute back from Heather. "Indeed. Most people can't hear its song." She looked at the two- obviously gypsies- and that one with the orange hair... she was a satyr. Or, at least, enough of a satyr to be able to hear its song. But what of this slight girl with the fluttering, beautiful bird? Ah, there was a mystery there. And that was what Serojl loved. It was the answer to her long quest. "I was given this many years ago with this..." she held up her flute once more, "with the one condition that I play it... until a mysterious one heard its song, and gave her the other thing I was given. It's been a long time. Here. This belongs to you." She did not hand over the flute- but instead, she reached into her thin jacket... and pulled forth.. A crystal decanter, which stoppered by a diamond-cut globe of glass.. inside of which were specks of diamond dust. And in the interior- a small palmful of the purest diamond dust... so fine and so pure that it was almost luminescent. There was something unusual about this dust- no mere jeweler's treasure was this. "I've carried it for many years. I'm so glad to see it go, though. Too many years, carrying something that didn't belong to me- knowing I could never understand its purpose." ((This is your congrats for the ostara egg hunt. mrgreen ))
