Seven!!!
Eight!!!
Drako has managed to roll over and get himself up to all fours. His hair has fallen into his face and he's not entirely sure which way to turn, but he has to get up. Finally, he pushes himself all the way up and flips his hair out of his face, turning to figure out where Nuke actually is

Nuke had taken a beating, but had also slowed the match down to a point where he could recover somewhat.
Nine!
The ref's call was loud and clear. Time to get up.
Fusion used the ropes to hoist himself to his feet, looking across the ring, and locking eyes with his long-term adversary.
He nodded towards him, then reached out his hand and told him to bring it.

ask and you shall receive. Drako steps forward and decides to swing for the fences, as it's what he has the energy for, throwing a hard right for Nuke's head

The right hand connected with force, and Nuke had to rally.
He leaned back into the ropes, boxer style, and then stepped forward with a chop!

a chop connects and lights Drako's chest up again. He stumbles back a couple of steps, his hand going to his chest and a grimace on his face. But he refuses to be outdone. He steps back in aiming a knife edged chop across Nuke's chest in retaliation

Woooooo!
The crowd enjoyed that one, as they rang out the classic Flair line as Nuke's chest immediately went red.
Fusion held his chest for a second, wincing at the pain. This time, however, he retaliated with a headbutt!

"Ah, s**t!"
the headbutt clocks Drako and actually knocks him to the mat, not expecting that in retaliation. The Soaring Dragon does quickly scramble to get back to his feet again

That headbutt also rocked Nuke slightly, but clearly not as much as Drako.
Taking that initiative, Fusion looked to follow up with a knee to the gut of Damone as he stood up.
At this point, this was less of a technical match and was becoming more of a war of attrition.

on his feet and about to move towards Nuke again, Drako is caught with a knee to the gut that forces him to stop and double over. he almost regrets that moonsault a few minutes before, almost

Nuke grits his teeth and breathes in deep, feeling the action from only a minute or two earlier.
The fans here tonight paid good money for their seats, and hell they were getting their money's worth with this show opener.
Fusion steps back.. and attempts a Fusion Cutter, a running dropkick to the head with Drako doubled over!

Drako had a hunch after a moment or two exactly what was coming his way. All of the Damones of the first and second generation had felt that maneuver. as such, Drako striaghtens up and steps back to avoid the Fusion Cutter.
Once Nuke is up and facing him, Drako thinks it's time to counter that attempt with one of his own, but in the former of a superkick to the jaw

Nuke stumbles for a moment as he misses the Fusion Cutter, catching his balance as he spins to hit Drako with-
Superkick!
Fusion felt the sole of Drako's boot connect with his chin, and he was staggered on his feet. He wobbled side to side, just about staying up, but clearly not seeing straight.

there's Drako's one superkick for the match, and he'd planted it well. Now it's time to try to put it away, as he looks to drop Nuke with the Raining Fire, his version of a stunner

Fusion swayed on the spot, really unsure of where he was. Damone plants him with a kick to the gut, the Raining Fire about to-
Somehow, from somewhere, Nuke is doubled over and attempts an Olympic Slam instead!

Drako was pretty sure he had this match won. But suddenly instead of dropping as planned, he finds himself lifted up and back, around and dropped with an Olympic slam. He hits the mat and arches his back from the impact, then lays flat again
