Nuke had all the time in the world to heal up, crashing to the mat wasn't good for him either even if it was his own doing. As more blood began to pool around Hiro's body, the Redeemer had rolled to Hiro and hooked his leg weakly, the ref dropping down and going for the pin.
"One...Two....THREEEEEE!!!"
The fans roared as the bell rang and the match was over, Hiro pushing his shoulder off the mat slightly at what would have been a five or six count, and with the ending of the match signaled the arrival of medical staff with a stretcher and several refs who were all waiting at gorilla to get out here and attend to these two warriors. All the history they shared, seven years of ambiguity -- the whole thing Hiro had hoped to achieve since returning, it had happened here tonight in the opening twenty plus minutes of No Mercy. He got in the ring with Nuke. They talked. They fought. They made up. They were once again friends.
