Drako makes sure to let Rosario think he's number one.....using his middle finger.
JR: Well, I guess we know what the champ thinks of his challenger's manager here.
King: How rude, JR? What did Rosario ever do to deserve such treatment?
JR: You got all night for a history lesson, King?
Now it's time to return to business. Drako refocuses on Dean, looking to catch him on the rise with a quick uranage

The crowd was ravenous as the energy felt at a all time high. Dean was now on his feet when Drako attempted to grab him for a uranage but as they were lifted Dean would go to pull down on that arm her was focusing to try and use his weight to counter with an arm drag.

Drako is flung across the ring with a quick armdrag. It's an armdrag so he instinctively pops back up and comes right back at Dean for a clothesline

Dean is also back on his feet as the retaliation came forward. Dean would attempt to duck under the clothesline, hooking the arm while sneaking behind the champion. If successful he would attempt to lock in what he called the Sailor's Knot, but the fans recognized as a Masterlock!

there's always a downside to rushing in after an armdrag, and Drako finds himself caught in the Sailor's Knot after missing a clothesline. And they're in the center of the ring so the champion seems to be stuck in the hold

The crowd roars as Dean tightens his grip, wrenching on the arms and shoulders. This is the moment he has been waiting for. He reminds everyone one as he jostles Drako to try to tighten the hold.
The young son and father we're bright on their feet, hanging over the barricade in excitement as the crowd had a wave of anxiety and anticipation run through it. This guy was a cheater wasn't he, how did he get to this position. Rosario laid on the ground, now being checked on medical professionals as the fall looked like to be a pretty harsh one, the manager was definitely out for the count at this point.

One could say the champion is being rag dolled at the moment as Dean tightens the hold. The champion doesn't have long, as it's getting harder to catch his breath. Knowing this, he attempts to put a foot forward and bit by bit, inch the two closer to the ropes

Dean saw the champion's feet wiggle foreword as he attempted to edge them backwards, yanking both men to the center of the ring. Tightening his grip even more. It was like reeling in a fish, there was going to be struggle and fight but you had to hold your ground and keep your fishing pole steady.

Drako has limited choices at this point. There's one more attempt he can make here. He jumps up a bit, reaching further back to wrap his hands around Dean's head, as he attempts to drop down into a version of his Raining Fire, better known as a Stunner

The atmosphere gasped as Damone jumped into the air, and the gasped maintained as Dean jumped with Drako. Old school camera flashes, the cameras were for sell in the merch line specifically for this moment, went off at a blazingly fast speed. The momentum from Drako was perfect for Dean to try to land down flat and attempt to deliver a mighty Full Nelson Bomb onto the champion.

Drako winds up getting out of the hold, just not in the way that he planned. Instead of dropping the challenger, the challenger drops him with a Full Nelson Bomb. The champion hits the mat the hard way and falls to the side, then rolls to his back again

Dean feels the intensity hit him as it's now or never. His leg is killing him, and his breathe is more labored as he goes to lay on top of Drako with all of his weight for a pin attempt.

Drako uses both legs this time to kick out of the pin, having to put extra effort with all of the weight on him to get his shoulders off the mat.
JR: My Gawd, that was a close call. We almost had a new champion!
King: we still could if Dean can just get up and do something, anything at this point. The champ's riding on fumes!

Dean looked up at the hard camera, flabbergasted. He was the champion for a reason, Drako was a hell of a competitor, and regardless of how his manager behaved Dean respected him immensely.
But that respect had to wait for after the match as Dean would tru to flip Drako over and crouch over him to attempt to stretch his arms one more time in a cobra clutch. Drako was not going to be out for the count, he had to much will, so the only way forward would be to give him not other choice.

Drako might be a bit spent, but his instincts are still there. As Dean grabs him to try to turn him, the Soaring Dragon reaches up to catch his arm, then attempts to pull him down right into a triangle choke
