"Hello Cloud." She stated to the Togepi as she and the crew finally arrived. She tugged her wagon around Castle and towards the woman, staring long and hard at her as she tried to judge her character. She certainly seemed capable enough, though she’d let Cloud confirm that since he’d found her first.
She slowly tore her unblinking stare away from the helper and to her friend. "Will she be able to take care of the babies?" She glanced around. "What hole will she be putting them in? And does she know where we can find cotton candy? And a lake. We should still teach them to swim along with making donuts." These were the important questions still on her mind and she felt it was important they keep track.

Blori trailed along faithfully after its twin, just... thirty seconds after she began moving because Team Cloud needed time to pack his eggs into Beardy's fur. He had worked so hard to gather them, and Ch-air-e was going out of her way to bring hers along too, bringing the eggs along was the obvious thing to do. They would be safe there, and just to be extra safe Not-Cherry and Dish were helpful enough to secure it with their newly discovered vines.
"This is a good team," Blori thought and was pleased to discover it could think.
The team followed behind Ch-air-e's object with bright chirps of wonder from all five. This was the farthest they'd ever gone on in their lives, and even things as mundane as the cloud that drifted across the sun and cast them in a shadow were awe-worthy.

The volunteer was still digesting this news or otherwise waiting for Cloud's supposed friend when Cheri wheeled her way onto the scene with her eggs and their gaggle of baby pokemon, including one that looked just like the tiny pink cat (if its face had been rolled over). A ways back, Giratina was impossible to miss as each of its many, many steps caused a small tremor.
"Rrrrriiight."
"Hi, Cheri!" Cloud spun on one foot to look at the Espurr and stopped on it when he saw two Cheris. "Gasp! Cheri, why are there two of you?" Had one of their eggs hatched already? How could a baby that looked just like Cheri be here? Was it her long-lost sibling?! Cloud had so many questions.
The woman didn't wait for him to ask any. "Ahem," she cleared her throat some and reflexively Cloud turned to her. "These are the babies you were talking about, right? I can go ahead and take them, we've got a center where we're keeping all these li'l, guys, for now."

☆ ☆【 While the Tentacool seemed perfectly content with just sitting on its newfound perch atop Marzipan’s shoulder, the Pansage was much more eager to poke around and explore this new place as the little grass monkey started looking around. Spotting all of the berries laying around on the ground from when the Lopunny had smacked the tree, Pansage hardly hesitated to grab one closest to it, tiny yet bright red and very appealing looking. Popping the Cheri berry into its mouth, the monkey’s teeth easily crushed it as it chewed on the little fruit, only for its eyes to pop open wide at the sudden, intense, burning sting that lit up its tongue and cheeks as if it had just put a ball of fire in its mouth!
With a grimace and a shriek of disgust, Pansage spat the chewed remnants onto the ground like an unwanted piece of gum, bouncing on its legs frantically and looking around while rapidly waving its hands towards its mouth as if that would help to cool it off. ”Not a fan of spicy, eh? Here, maybe this’ll be more to your liking,” the Lopunny suggested lightly with a chuckle, grabbing a Pecha from among the ones that had fallen into her pouch and handing it over to the distressed monkey. The Pansage eagerly accepted, biting into the super soft, yielding flesh of the berry and was far more pleased at how sweet it tasted in comparison, even helping to soothe the still lingering heat left on its tongue. Ah… so much better! 】☆ ☆

☆ ☆【 Marzipan smiled as the Pansage seemed to be much happier now as it munched away at the berry in its hands, rifling through her small collection to grab some food for the Tentacool as well in case it might want some as well. As she did so, though, her attention was abruptly drawn towards the familiar shaking and sounds of cracking as two more eggs were starting to hatch! Quickly retrieving them and setting them down, Marzipan shut her eyes and reached a hand up to shield the Tentacool’s eyes too as the blinding flash of light briefly overtook the area. Taking a breath, the Lopunny opened her eyes once again to see the two new babies, a Growlithe pup and a super tiny looking bug Pokemon that she recognized as a Nincada.
She’d heard that they usually grew underground, so actually seeing one this small was quite surprising. The Nincada looked barely even as big as the palm of her hand as it reared up slightly on its hind legs, antennae twitching as it was trying to get a sense of where it was right now. The Growlithe gave a short bark, fluffy tail wagging as it trotted over and began rubbing up against the Lopunny’s legs. Seemed this one was quite friendly, and Marzipan couldn’t help but want to humor the pup Pokemon at least a bit as she bent down and gave it a few scritches behind the ears. The Growlithe perked up at the attention and affection, yipping and wiggling its body happily as it bounced eagerly on its paws.
Ah… right! Marzipan started a bit upon realizing she still had to go check on Meltan to see where it had disappeared off to. Thankfully, it wasn’t all that hard to find as it was only a matter of turning a slight corner, where the little metallic blob had been spending the last few minutes or so trying its darnedest to lift an egg out of the small pile of about five of them it had found. And so far… it had made a grand total of absolutely zero progress, being far too small and not having enough mass or muscle in its ooze-like body to even pull something of that size. ”Very nice find there, little one! I was actually looking for more eggs that needed hatching. Here, let mommy help you with that.” With all of the eggs she’d been carrying now more or less all hatched now, the Lopunny’s blanket papoose was pretty much completely empty now and ready for more to be loaded inside. So this was quite the lucky little discovery indeed! 】☆ ☆

☆ ☆【"Meeeeel mel!" The Meltan gave a warbling chirp upon seeing Marzipan arrive on the scene, sphere-like eye bouncing and forming a pleased upturned U shape in happiness that she sounded pleased with its discovery. Mission accomplished! Though as the Lopunny was gathering up the eggs and putting them inside of her blanket pouch, the blob blinked its eye in surprise that apparently there’d been more eggs there than it had originally thought (or had been able to see, being only a few inches tall). That was… good, right? Assuming that the goal here was meant to be finding and collecting as many of these speckled objects as possible, then that meant it had done extra well for sure! Right? Right!
It idly wondered how many more of these they might have to collect. Was there an objective to being able to find and get all of them? Was there some kind of grand prize if they were able to collect them all? Meltan bounced a little and made an excited whirring noise, the hexagonal nut that was its head rotating around eagerly. It really hoped there was a reward, it would only make sense for that to be the endgame of this apparent seeking and gathering game that the little blob had apparently established in its own mind. Which meant that they should be going out and trying to find more to add to their collection, though Marzipan was now gesturing for it to come along so they could head back and join up with the rest of the newly hatched Pokemon. 】☆ ☆

While arrangements were being made between those that could actually make them, the rest of Cloud's pokemon spilled out into the open space to explore. They didn't get far though, the human was by far the most interesting creature to gawk and coo at. Only Beardy and Blori stayed behind, the latter was still awaiting a proper dismissal and Beardy was tending to the left-behind eggs. Two of them already had cracks spanning across from them and were starting to shake and hop on their own.
One bumped into the other and both eggs rolled out onto the ground, still actively hatching, before the left then the right egg cracked in half, and out spilled two new babies. Cloud, alerted by the crunching, moved in closer to find a Blobby and Big-Face staring at each other and then him when he drew in close.

Cheri stared at Cloud, then looked and stared at Blori, then back to staring at Cloud. "That’s Blobby. There’s still only one of me." She gestured to the Ditto briefly. "We should teach him to turn them into donuts for the baking process. If the babies know what they’re making should look like, they’ll do better." Her train of thought broke as the woman cleared her throat, redirecting her gaze to the human.
"Yes." Cheri responded, this time with her own mental magic skills. She moved to the back of the wagon, snatching up the chirping baby Pidgey and hauling it over to the woman, offering it right at the base of her feet like some sort of sacrificial offering. The Castform bobbled around in the air and the Espurr questioned how she ought to get it to come down.
"You can keep this one." Cheri stared up at the woman. "Will you keep them in a hole?" As she waited for a response, Cheri’s mind whirled on who else she ought to abandon leave in the keeper’s care. Castle would stay with them while Pidgey and Castform left. Giratina and Bergmite? She wasn’t quite sure...
Because the pokemon devil might not have had arms, but it’d make a great delivery carrier once trained, Cheri thought. Bigger pokemon meant more carrying capabilities and there’d probably be someone along with the pokemon to help the deliveries. Plus plus plus, for the kingdom situation, it’d make a great deterrence to any who might oppose them.
Nothing really scared off opposition like the ‘renegade’ pokemon. Even if it was a baby and probably had no clue of its scandalous reputation. Yet. There was always time to teach it. Those human teams would adore the opportunity to interact with it, that much was certain. Not that she’d allow that.
While Cheri conferred onto the keeper what babies she’d be abandoning because they neither served a purpose for donut making nor warfare, Bergmite took to investigating the odd noises coming from the wagon. It was jostling about, and the little glacier was certain it heard cracking and dim glowing accompanying it.
Stumpy legs made it hard to reach up and check, but it didn’t take long before a round shadow cast an eclipse over his form. His eyes managed to direct up, right into the big, round staring eyes of a freshly hatched Rowlet. Oh, it was a bit like staring at Cheri, but slightly less unnerving. Or more unnerving? Berg couldn’t say. It gave a little ‘hoooooo’ and fluttered its wings in an attempt to stretch its limbs. At least it seemed friendly! Though it wasn’t like the other bird that Cheri had in the wagon just moments before.
The volunteer held her tongue until Cheri questioned her and a laugh bubbled up in her. "Hah?" She placed a hand over her mouth, breathed in quickly through her nose, then shook her head to answer the Espurr. "Sorry," the woman muttered after a moment's breath then gave a gentle sight. "No, we won't be keeping them in a hole. We have a daycare center—that's a building for babies—that I'll take them to. I just need to call someone." And with that, she held up the pointer finger of her left hand while using the right to whip a phone out of her back pocket.
At this point, Blori had made its way over to Cloud. It greeted the Togepi with a hearty cry and Cloud, even with his arms full, returned it immediately. "Hi, Blobby!" he said to the pink Espurr after he placed the last egg onto the ground. Just like before, they were all starting to hatch one after the other. Although, maybe it was just him... but they were hatching a lot faster.

If Cheri could’ve emoted, her expression would’ve displayed clear disappointment at the revelation. A center? How boring, she was still adamant that the hole idea was the better idea. But she was in no position to argue this fact if she was going to hand the babies over to her. Maybe they’d find a decent hole along the way to finding a lake. Or cotton candy.
Cheri was about to open her mouth and make another comment when a loud shriek erupted from her wagon. She turned to see the freshly hatched Rowlet frantically flapping its way from the wagon and smacking into a barely struggling Bergmite as not one, but two eggs chose to hatch that time.
And again, Cheri found herself in the possession of a rather large pokemon. Well, compared to herself. One was a lanky, colorful creature, dressed like a jester with the equivalent of a dotted lollipop for a head. Or was it a light? It swayed from side to side like a reed in the wind and it was hard to tell if that was its natural gate. And the other one, who’d really caused all the commotion by entering the world with a loud ‘boom’ that reverberated through the area, hovered in the air, an old man glare on its face as it stared down at the small crowd.
Man, to be born with facial hair. What a wonder. Cheri stared up and between the two, ears twitching slightly before she looked at the woman once more. "Hold on, there’s more coming."
In the minute it took for the volunteer to explain her situation several more eggs hatched. Hearing the commotion, the young woman glanced over and ended the call with a groan. "Where are you..." she let her sentence fall incomplete as another pokemon materialized to the left of them; one second there was an empty space, and in the next, a cutlery-wielding monk floated just above the grass. "Here she is," the volunteer gestured to the stoic Alakazam with a hand wave. "This is Alakazam. She'll teleport the babies to our center. You just need to gather them all into one place," she explained.
Cloud looked at the new pokemon curiously, taking in their brand new faces, while Blobby—who'd poofed back into its original form—earnestly packed more eggs onto Beardy's built-in nest. It knew the routine well enough now that they'd start packing up new eggs just as quick as the old ones hatched.
He glanced back at Cheri and the human– and oh! a brand new pokemon. Cloud didn't know what was going on exactly, but he figured it'd be a good time to get all the newcomers together and join up with the rest.

Cheri’s attention was focused on the commotion as the final few eggs hatched. A Piplup had appeared and tumbled out of the wagon in a violent panic as its neighboring egg began to hatch, taking the Rowlet with it. There was a terrible crunch and Cheri stared as the wagon was pulverized under the massive new hatchling. The massive red-godzilla want-a-be blinked and shuffled in place, clearly confused.
"My wagon." Cheri said. If her tone could’ve indicated disappointment, it would’ve. Instead, it sounded more like a statement of fact, which is was. Her wagon had been crushed. Darn big babies. She shook her head and looked back to the woman and the Alakazham as it appeared, staring long and hard at the pokemon. It was so much like Juliean’s, which wasn’t a surprise. Most pokemon looked the same, except when they didn’t.
"You can take everyone but Castle." She stated, gesturing to the swatch of mix-matched babies in her care and then to the Stakataka to indicate which was 'Castle'. They were, for the most part, in the same general area. Her paw dropped back to her side, still staring at the pair. "I need another wagon, please."
"You can also take my babies!" Cloud called out after Cheri, in truth he'd approached the two of them a little before his friend had lost her wagon—which was a very sad event indeed—but his steps had been drowned out by the splintering of hard plastic and metals, and the volunteer had had her head turned towards the action. Even now, with three legendary pokemon she recognized and one weird... prancing clown, she had a hard time looking away from them. As large as their competition was, Cloud's gaggle of pokemon hadn't even been clocked by her radar.
"Everyone but Blobby, it's the purple wiggly one beside me, not the purple runny pokemon." He'd already made that mistake himself.
The volunteer swallowed back a sigh as she counted 7...8...9. They'd be transporting back 10 babies, that was a lot to keep track of all at once. "Alright. I'll take everyone gathered here and then bring back a wagon. See you two soon." The words were scarcely out of her mouth and hung there, even when the one who uttered them 'blinked' out of sight, along with the bearded pokemon and all the babies except Castle and Blobby.
"Woah," Cloud breathed, while Blobby turned about in awe.
