Yajirobe eats Cymball after cooking him, but is reluctant to give his dragon ball to Goku. Piccolo sends Tambourine to Goku's location just as Tambourine was fighting Yamcha. Meanwhile Roshi, Tien, and Chiaotzu finds one of the dragon balls.

Roshi, Tien, and Chiaotzu have gathered 4 dragon balls and have two more to collect before having to face Piccolo. However, we know that one of those two is in the possession of Yajirobe. So, there is one ball we have no idea where it is. Meanwhile, Goku annihilates Tambourine with a kamehameha wave in mid air, forgetting to let Yajirobe eat the monster. Piccolo has found Goku and Yajirobe and this looks like trouble for our heroes.

Goku and Piccolo fight one another and it looks like Piccolo is going to win, meanwhile, Roshi is in hot pursuit of the 5th ball.

After being pummeled by Piccolo and had his dragon ball taken, Goku asks Yajirobe to take him to Korin tower. Then, Master Roshi, Tien, and Chiaotzu prepare to fight King Piccolo, but Tien and Chiaotzu must remain hidden until the time is right.

Roshi tries to seal Piccolo into another jar using the evil contaiment wave and misses, thus Roshi's life comes to an end. However, Goku is still on his way to Korin tower. Piccolo summons forth the eternal dragon and is about to make his wish.

In an attempt to stop Piccolo's wish, Chiaotzu tries to make one of his own, but is killed while making it. Piccolo wishes for youth and then once granted kills the dragon. In the meantime, Goku has made it to Korin tower and is reunited with Oopa and Bora.

Goku and Yajirobe have nearly made it to the top of Korin tower, but Piccolo has already started his conquest for world domination. Tien has left his friends to go train in order to perfect the evil containment wave.

Goku reaches the top of Korin tower where Korin reveals that Master Roshi was killed by Piccolo. Then since Goku says that he is not afraid of death, then Korin suggests going to find the ultra divine water, which is different than the water Goku drank the first time he climbed the tower.

Goku and Yajirobe jump down a jar and they find themselves in a maze. At the end is the ultra divine water, but Yajirobe was only looking for Korin's food. They run into a freezard, which thanks to Yajirobe becoming a toboggan, our two heroes escaped it.

Goku proves himself worthy to try the ultra divine water, but the water itself is a test. If Goku has latent powers then the water will help, but if not, then Goku will die.

Goku passed the ultra divine water's test and thanks to a flying nimbus gift from Korin, he is on his way to beat Piccolo's a**. However, so is Tien who has mastered the evil containment wave. The question is who will get to Piccolo first?

Tien confronts Piccolo only to have to face a minion named Drum. Goku is still on his way via the nimbus cloud.

Goku helps Chichi and the Ox King before arriving just in time to help Tien to defeat drum and Piccolo. Goku landed one hard kick to Drum's face already and this is just the beginning.

Since Drum has been beaten, Goku focuses his attacks on Piccolo and gains the advantage save for one time when Piccolo gained a lucky punch.

The match evens itself out when Piccolo blasts Goku's knee, however, Goku still has fight left in him and he has to use the aid of his nimbus cloud to get the job done.
