Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ He wrapped his arms easily around the smaller male, one large hand pressing to the small of Declan's back as they kissed. The kiss was short but passionate, and Lavi made sure to leave as lasting an impression on Declan as the captain had on him. He licked his lips after they pulled away, eyes cloudly with the briefest flash of desire before the moment was gone and they had to separate. He cleared his throat, then nodded with a small smile. "Send me a message if you require my presence, Captain." He waved a little bit, then turned back to the helm and adjusted a leather grip before turning back to face a crew. A few had stopped to witness the steamy exchange, some a little too invested in the relationship between the two men, but a stern look from Lavi got them all back into order. He ran a hand over his hair, the braids shifting from the movement. Oh, he needed to rebraid his hair. He sighed, then whistled for a cabin boy to bring him his bag.
"Ryder!" He called out, walking down the steps and onto the main deck. "Hurry now, Little Mouse. We have much to do and not much time to get it done in." He moved towards the ramp, pausing to look back at the crew. "We will return at dawn at the very latest. I am leaving Dobson in charge in my absence. If I hear one cross word from the harbormaster about your behavior, men, I will keelhaul you myself." He nodded at Dobson who began to work on the mainsail, then started to walk down the ramp. "Little Mouse. Hurry along now." ╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

Ryder had slept that night fairly well, even though Lavi wasn't there the whole time. Once he was sound asleep, he was good. The rest of the week, he grew used to being near Lavi, learning what he could in the short time as they sailed across the ocean. Once they docked, he was fairly well at getting to the places some of the other crew couldn't. When they finally docked in Pirate's cove, he was dangling from a large wooden beam, reaching a sail stay the other's couldn't. He was glad at the moment for being so tall but small. He finished the stay and moved, sliding down the beam before looking at Lavi as he walked off the ship. Ryder drew in a breath and followed after Lavi. He caught up to him and looked around. "Where are we going?" he asked, curious as he looked up at Lavi once more and rose a brow, wanting to know. He sighed softly as they walked and stretched. Having been bent in different ways to reach things left his back a little sore. And the place his wings stayed hidden was tender to the touch. It made him curious as to what was happening to him. He looked at Lavi once he finished stretching and relaxed.
They walked through the streets and Ryder smiled as they went, excited to see the rest of the place. "This place is bigger than I thought it would be. How big is the island?" he asked, curiosity getting to him as he looked up at Lavi. Ryder ran a hand over his forehead, feeling a small sweat on his brow. He was hot or rather clammy but he chalked it up to the new place. He ignored it and looked ahead as they walked, new things catching his attention.

Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ Lavi walked at a steady pace so that the younger dragon could keep up, his impressive height and stoic expression enough to stave off any particularly grabby orphans. He glanced down at Ryder, then returned his gaze forward. "Bookseller. I've been chasing this tome for a few years and it's finally available. Then we can pick up a few supplies for my personal storage, a couple of items for the ship's passage, and if we're out too late we can stay the night in the room I rent here." They walked leisurely and Lavi paused every now and then to pick up little items and trinkets that caught his eye, especially interested in a pair of red glass earrings. He paid the seller and continued on with Ryder, glancing around at the question. "I'm not sure. I've never exactly measured. But the captain says it's sizeable when it needs to be, so I take that at face value and move on."
The dragon paused in front of a stall, looking over the beaded jewelry and coin purses. "You know, I can get your something if you want. I don't mind. It can be a... A reward. For being so helpful and well-behaved." He offered, picking up a pretty pink bracelet. Now this, he liked.╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

He listened as they walked together and looked around as Lavi spoke. He wondered what type of book the older male would be after, seeing as he decided against Magic. Ryder brushed his hair from his face and let our a small sigh as they went. He looked at a stall they passed, jewels on it that caught his eye. He didn't remain long before catching up to Lavi, hearing him talk about the room he'd rented. Ryder smiled as he looked up at him and nodded. "I don't think finding a book and some supplies will take that long do you?" He looked ahead, spotting a few stalls ahead with various little treasures. He was fighting the urge to sneak away; to go and nab a few things. It was part of him though, the want for treasure. He perked up, hearing Lavi talk about the island he had just asked about. It sounded like a ot of fun to him. And made him wonder what the rest of the island was like.
When the older dragon stopped, Ryder didn't notice at first, his gaze over a few buckets of food. His stomach growled and he turned as Lavi spoke, finding him among the crowd. Working his way back through the crowd, he bumped into an older looking man. He drew in a breath and looked up at the man. He was a good half foot taller than Ryder. The smaller dragon felt his cheeks heat up and stepped around the man. "I'm sorry" he explained, bowing his head slightly before going back to Lavi. He watched Lavi as he picked up a bracelet and smiled. Pink wasn't his color... His gaze moved over the trinkets and he rose a brow. "You're serious?" he asked him, smiling before he looked over everything. It was like a kid in a toy store. It wasn't often he got things from others more than a bad mouth or bruises. He looked over the trinkets and found a small dragon figurine. He held it for a moment and looked down at it. "Lavi; it looks like you" he explained before holding up the black dragon with yellow eye, smiling as he joked around.

Lavi Gideon ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Accompanied By: ░░░━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Wearing╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃ As they approached the ship, Lavi paused to take a deep breath. He couldn't maintain the soft emotion he'd exposed himself and Ryder to. At least, not in front of the crew. He cleared his throat, then looked down at Ryder. "Do me a solid, alright? Take Bibble here to my cabin and relax a little while I get the ship set up for Mahanon and Declan's return." He had a few books tucked away into his bag, as well as a good amount of gifts for the First Mate, but he could put those away on his own later. Besides, it was easier for him to let loose with his temper when he wasn't near one of the only people he wanted to be gentle with. One could argue that that included Declan and Mahanon, but their relationship walked the line between gentle and rough. Lavi patted the Ryder's back, then gestured for him to walk up the gangplank ahead of him. Once they set foot on the deck, he tossed a braid over his shoulder and opened his mouth to bellow out orders.
"What the hell is this? I spend a day on land and come back to this mess?" He reached for a crew member's shoulder, heaving the young man up to his feet and pushing him against another one. "The captain will be returning in a matter of hours and you have not accomplished one thing on the list of duties I laid out for you all before I left. Such lazy slobs! You don't deserve to be on the ship of a Councilman!" He pushed his bag aside as he strode to the center of the deck. The crew assembled around him, standing at attention and awaiting his orders. He assigned tasks according to seniority, taking a moment to gauge the abilities of the cabin boys before distributing them. There was one in particular that he knew needed to be trained a little more before he was permitted to work on anything by himself, but he would work with him once they were at sea. He sighed to himself and leaned on the taffrail, keeping a watchful eye on the crew. They weren't actually that bad, much more competent than many of the crews he'd seen in his day, but any good crew needed a strong hand.╄━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╃

Ryder enjoyed the walk though he felt it was far too short for his liking. When they got to the ship and Lavi handed him the stuffed dragon, uniquelly named Bibble, Ryder's gaze met the elder dragons and he nodded as he explained that he wanted Ryder to take Bibble to their cabin and wait there while he got the ship in order. Nodding, Ryder carried Bibble to the stairs and jumped at Ryder's sudden bellowing voice. He looked back to see him bark orders at the crew, wondering why the list of things he'd ordered were not done yet. He drew in a breath and turned, going down the rest of the stairs and down the hall to Lavi's cabin. He stepped in and shut the door behind him. He sat on the bed and leaned back against the wall, closing his eyes as he relaxed. Yawning, he stretched and looked out the window, the day beginning above the sea and ship. He smiled and laid back as he listened to the hustle and bustle above on deck. Soon enough, his eyes were closed and he was curled up with Bibble.

Having watched Akantha as she took care of the dirty man, he couldn't help smiling as he watched her take control. He looked away, making sure no others would go after her for taking care of the man who's hand now attached to the table. Once she was done, he handed her the coat back and turned, following her out. "What a woman" he whispered as he walked. He looked at her and smiled. "So" he stated, "What a way to make an impact as the new councilmember." he looked ahead and sighed softly. His gaze moved up to the sky as they walked, moving through the docks and soon arriving to his home on the water. "Here we are" he stated, gesturing to the ship. "The Savage Siren in all her glory" he smiled, hearing Lavi's voice on the deck of the ship. Raising a brow he wondered why it wasn't Mahanon that he heard. Perhaps the elf had found company for the night?" he wasn't sure but he was sure that he was ready to get off land. He stepped onto the gangplank and motioned for Akantha to go ahead.
When they finally made it to the deck, Declan spotted Lavi and smiled. "You look horrible mate... I thought the purpose of docking was to relax and take a load off." he explained as he went to him. He looked around then at him once more. "Where's the elf?" he asked him, curious as he looked for the shorter elf.

She glanced over her shoulder at his remark, offering up a small smirk. She loved to be impressive, and she knew that he was impressed by her. Being strong and being beautiful had its perks, she'd always known that. It was what made her a prize to be won in her tribe, it was what made her so valuable under Muslin's command, and it was what made her so dangerous on the seas now that she had her own colors to fly. The talk was kept small as they walked, and he commented on the impact that she'd made. "When you're a new captain, and a woman at that, there are very few ways to establish dominance over a situation. Knives seem to work." She laughed a little, then started to walk up the gangplank. When she got to the deck, she looked around the ship and smiled softly. Nice ship. Hers was better, although that might be her own bias. She was about to turn and compliment Declan and his ship when she heard her name and turned around with a wide grin. "Well, well, well! Mr. Gideon, what a surprise!" She greeted.
Lavi was mid-order when he heard those boots walking up the gangplank. They were different than Declan's, yet maintained just as much of a strong stride. Long legs, high heels, and a commanding presence. He turned to face them. "Akantha, darling! Long time, no see." he drawled, walking over to the two captains. He took her hand and lifted it to his lips, kissing sweetly in greeting. He then released her hand and gestured toward Declan. "And you. If you're going to insult me, I recommend doing it when I'm not the only present person capable of taking care of your ship. I'll be sure to let you know what happened when I was on land. Let me tell you, it's a long and unfortunate story." Lavi sighed, looking away. "As for Mahanon, I haven't seen him. I assume he's found something or someone to occupy his time, much like you have, apparently." He winked at Declan, then looked to Akantha. "So, what brings you here?" He asked, tucking his hands into his pockets.
"Your captain invited me for a drink to celebrate my new position." she replied. "I have taken control of John Muslin's ships. The Western Seas fly under my colors now."
He raised his eyebrows in surprise but smiled nonetheless. "Really? You got John Muslin to bequeath his beloved ship to a woman? That's a story you've got to tell me one day." He was about to continue when he heard yelling behind him. Turning to see, he sighed and shook his head. Duty called. "Today does not appear to be that day. Let me know if you need anything, Captain." He nodded to Declan, then looked to Akantha. "Akantha, always a pleasure." He waved, then turned and started to walk toward the yelling, starting to shout as he did.
She waved goodbye to the dragon, then returned her attention to Declan. "Shall we, Captain?" she asked, gesturing towards the stairs down to the cabins.

When the two started to converse, Declan couldn't help the brow that shifted, looking between the seemingly long lost friends as they talked about life and what they did now and who knew who. When Lavi opened his mouth, Declan looked up at him and smiled as he teased. "Oh come on." he nudged Lavi and drew in a breath before thinking about Mahanon. "I simply hope he is being safe in his endeavors" he explained before looking around, the two conversing once more. When they finished, Declan spoke up. "Lavi? Where has your little Mouse run off too?" he asked, a brow raised before he looked at Lavi once more, curious about the whereabouts of the stowaway dragon.
At the mention of heading to Declan's Chambers for the drink, he nodded and looked at Lavi, smiling as he nodded to his friend. Holding an arm out he linked his arm with Akantha's and led her to his quarters. Once inside, he did a quick once over, seeing as neither of his Mates had been present the previous evening. He wanted to make sure things were in order. Satisfied, he went to his desk and ran a hand over it. The seemingly empty furniture suddenly erupted, several parchments, quills, and bottles with matching glasses appearing. He sat in his chair and motioned to a seat near the desk. "What'll it be? Rum or Wine?" he asked, motioning to the bottles before them.

How many women and men had walked this very way into the dark chambers of the lusty Captain Sulis? She was no fool, she'd more than heard the rumors of his prolific appetite. Peeking at him from the corner of her eye, she almost smiled. He was almost tempting. She was a very dominant lover and he did appear to be a challenge. However, he was simply far too masculine for her tastes. Maybe if she got really, really drunk. Maybe. After all, she and Lavi had made a mistake or two when they were drunk enough, but it had never gone as far as Declan might have been expecting this to go. It occurred to her that she should probably set things right before they started into the right heavy liquor. She adjusted her shirt, tugging it down just a little down her midriff, suddenly very aware of just how much skin she was showing. At least she knew that if she told him to stop, he would. Declan Sulis was a lot of things, yes, but everyone knew he wasn't a monster.
They stepped into the cabin and she watched him as he waved his hand and summoned glasses from nowhere. She sat down, crossing her long legs and leaning her head back. Akantha removed her hat and placed it onto the desk, her long curls winding down the back of the seat and gently swaying with every breath she took. It was nice to be relaxing on a ship again, even though it wasn't hers. Akantha felt more comfortable on the sea than she ever did on land, and this slow rocking of the Savage Siren was lulling her into easy security. She blinked, then looked over at him and offered a small smile. "Rum is always a fine start, Captain, but I wouldn't say no to a glass of wine either. Your choice." She waved a hand towards him lazily, then pulled her eyes away to look around the room. "This is nice. I wonder how many silly maidens have wandered into this cabin and walked away with their family's shame betwixt their legs and burning on their cheeks." She winked at him, then sat upright and reached up to push her hair from her face. "I'm sure the number's been lost to you at this point." It wasn't as if she could talk. She had done pretty much the same with her own cabin.●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●•۰••.•●

Declan looked over his choices once Akantha gave her answer. He nodded and chose the Wine. It would be easier to start with it instead of the Rum so things didn't get out of hand too quickly. He opened the wine, using his hook to pull the cork from the bottle and looked at Akantha as she spoke again, talking about how many women and men had been in there and brought shame to their family. She stated that he probably couldn't remember how many there was and Declan smiled. He did and the numbers were surprising. Contrary to the rumors and his reputation, a great number of his bedmates were too drunk or too nervous to consent.
Looking at her once she finished speaking he smiled once more. "Thirty two" he told her, "Those numbers would be higher. But a lot of my... guests... wind up too drunk to truly consent beforehand or they get too scared and start crying." He explained, pouring the wine and moving to give a glass to Akantha before sitting. He looked at her and leaned back. He took a small drink and sighed softly. "What about you, I wonder if you know your own body count." He asked, motioning to her.

Oh, well at least she had been told correctly about his honor. For all his lusty exploits, she was pleased to learn that Declan was at the very least a decent man. She accepted the glass and sipped as he did, unsurprised when he asked her about her own magic number. She hid a small smile, half-tempted to teasingly refuse to answer on account of a lady never kissing and telling. However, Akantha wasn't ashamed of her adventures and raised her glass towards him. "A lover in every port and then some. Nearing forty, I believe, but I've been rather taken with my most recent conquest. As have you, based on what I've been told." She smirked conspiratorily before sipping her wine and glancing to the window briefly. She could vaguely spy movement in the sparse light and could more than hear the banging of the hard work above them. If she strained herself, she could even hear Lavi screaming at people to "do things right the first time". She then looked back at Declan, taking another drink before setting aside the glass and leaning forward a little. She spread her legs a bit and clasped her hands together, her elbows on her knees as she prepared to speak. "That reminds me, there's something that we need to discuss before the night continues on. I'm not sure what you're expecting, so I want to make certain that we're on the same page." She chose her words carefully, not wanting to offend him.
Meanwhile, Lavi finally decided to give his voice a break and to go and check on Ryder. He walked down the steps towards the cabins, pausing briefly by the captain's door. He couldn't hear anything, but he knew that, by the way that Akantha looked that day, someone was about to be very gently let down and it probably wasn't going to be her. He continued on to his cabin, opening the door and raising his left eyebrow. "I haven't heard any nonsense out of here yet. Are you being a good boy?" he asked as he stepped inside and closed the door behind him.

Declan was quiet as he looked at her. He listened as she explained that she had a lover in every port and more. Her number was surprisingly higher than his but he was going to push on the subject. Smiling, he listened as she talked about Remy. Speaking of the devil, Declan looked up as a carrier raven flew in through his small window, landing on his desk. He looked at the note it carried on it's leg, recognizing Remy's seal. He plucked the note and moved the raven to a perch before looking at Akantha as she leaned forward, questioning what he was expecting. Declan smiled and shook his head. "Captain, I only expect what is given to me." he explained, "And from the looks of it and your tone we will not be going further than a few drinks." he noted her body language and opened the letter, his gaze moving down to read it. He smiled a bit before reading about the incident with the king. He drew in a breath and closed the letter, sticking it in a drawer of his desk. He would respond once he was alone, allowing the raven time to rest before another long flight.
Looking at Akantha he thought for a moment. "Perhaps we could hold a small... gathering?" He wasn't sure what he planned but I chance to give his crew and hers a break was something that excited him. "You could bring your crew or I could bring mine. Whichever seems more convenient. Though I would like to host it before we cast off in a few days." He grew quiet then, waiting for her to answer him.
Ryder hadn't heard Lavi come in, sound asleep as he cuddled the small dragon. He woke slightly, rolling to look up at Lavi and smiled. "What nonsense would you hear out of here?" he asked him, stretching before sitting up. He looked down at the dragon and put it down before looking up at Lavi once more. "Everything looking good up there?" he asked him, curious as he rose a brow. Ryder had slept most the morning, exhaustion from the heat having claimed him.

"Oh, thank God," muttered Akantha to herself. If there was one conversation she hated to have, it was the homosexual one. Don't get her wrong, she wasn't ashamed of her aversion to men. Women were good and perfect and magical in her eyes and she was proud to be attracted to them, especially since her latest lover was among the most powerful beings in the world. However, some men did not take well to the whole "I don't like male genitalia so kindly remove it from my line of sight, sir" thing. She glanced over to Declan as he received a letter from a raven. She was too far away to recognize the seal on the letter or read it, but she knew it wasn't good just by the look on his face. "Bad news?" she asked, leaning back in her seat and relaxing somewhat. She was still a woman in a stranger's ship, regardless of her position and his. She could trust his reputation, she hoped, allowing herself another sip of her drink. At any rate, he didn't need to explain himself or the letter to her. She'd gotten more than her share of bad news what with being the captain of a ship crewed by mainly women.
"A party sounds wonderful." She raised her glass a little, then looked away and smiled to herself. "My girls will try to drink your boys under the table, however, so we'll be in for one heck of a night. At any rate, we ship out for Bormiel the day after tomorrow, so does tomorrow night sound good to you?" She asked. The Bormiel Blood Ball, or whatever it was called, was due to be starting soon and she didn't want to miss showing up and scandalizing the Queen's court with her pirate captain regalia.
Lavi sat on the bed beside Ryder, raising a hand to pat the younger dragon on the shoulder and chuckling. "Forgive me, Little Mouse, but you get in trouble whenever I turn my back. I cannot help but be suspicious when you're quiet." He put both of his hands behind him on the bed, leaning his head back and closing his eyes as he relaxed. "A right mess. Captain Akantha Kouris is on-board and some of the men are having a harder time than usual concentrating. She's a lovely woman, don't get me wrong, but too much of a distraction." He shook his head, then looked to Ryder and smiled. "You slept well, I hope? Dream anything sweet? Anything spicy?" He teased, tempted to reach out and poke the young man suggestively but holding himself back.

Declan looked at her when she asked about the letter. HE drew in a breath and looked down. A friend of mine... his father took ill and he is worried. I need to visit him soon" he explained before she spoke once more, agreeing that a party sounded grand. He nodded, agreeing the next night would be ideal. "Very well" he stated, smiling. "We'll just see tomorrow how well they can outdrink each other" He finished the drink he held and let out his breath. He felt stiff, stress getting to him. Perhaps he would have Mahanon whip him up a spell or potion to help him relax. Though he knew Mahanon would do his best to complete the task without a potion.
Ryder smiled as he listened to Lavi explain what was happening on board. Ryder could understand what he meant by the men being distracted. He watched Lavi as he laid back and continued to speak. "I did sleep well" he explained, "I actually got to sleep" He looked at Lavi and laid back, snuggling into the older dragon. "I didn't really dream much" he whispered.
