The true Queen of the GodsHera would let out the smallest of chuckles and offered a small smile at the young woman "Your Mother was a lovely woman, but please. We're family, such formalities are for mortals and those beneath our status" Hera obviously was still a bit stuck in the old ways but such things could possibly be done away with time but for now it was just how she was. However soon enough Persephone approached them and mentioned going to see someone that may have been important to Dara. Either way she smiled at the other woman and nodded her head "Of course Dear, it was lovely to meet you as well. Take care" she would say before waving goodbye to the two. She would then pause and turned to look at Hades whom was speaking to her and Hera's smile quickly shifted to a frown as a soft scoffing noise came from her "Hmph. Even if he cools down he'll just rile himself up the moment he see's me, I have never been able to have a real conversation with him once in all our lives" she had made attempts in the past but they always ended in a fight or argument between the two. Hera just lost her patience when dealing with him, the man could be so bull headed sometimes.
However a distraction came to pull her from her musing, specifically two distractions. Two..very..unwanted..distractions. Hera's eyes narrowed at the sight of the two little cretins appearing from a poof of smoke as they spoke about missing Persephone. Hera listened to what was said but her gaze remained icy and cold, however soon her gaze shifted to Hades as she saw his anger flare up. The Queen would remain silent during the exchange, watching as his eyes turned red as he grabbed one of them showing his rage at them. Once he calmed down Hera would scoff a bit "I was wondering when you'd show your true colors again Hades" she stated coldly, staring the other god down with her arms folded over her chest. Hera knew it was only a matter of time before it showed, it only made the Queen feel more validated in her suspicions over the King of the Underworld. Why on earth would Persephone marry this man? Her face remained impassive as he explained himself and let out a small huff "Yes, an unsafe Colosseum that my son Heracles trained in" she stated locking eyes with him "I wonder why" she would then let out another huff "Well worry not dear Hades, if my Son says he'll fix the problems then they'll get fixed" she would then glance at him "As for issues with disrespect, if you're so miffed about it then confront Philocletes about it instead of trying your usual underhanded tactics to get it shut down" she stated, reaching up a hand to move a strand of hair out of her face "You're both grown men, surely even you can handle a civil conversation with the saytr, correct?" she was sure that there was no need for such underhanded tactics from him. But then again this was Hades she was talking about, falling into old habits was probably normal for him even in this modern age.

..hey, how ya doin?..  as soon as Hera spoke, the pupils of Hades' eyes glowed a dangerous red and his face became more serious as the two henchmen now lawyers looked at the two and nicer sofas, even Ares knew this was gonna be awkward and quickly ushered everyone out "right ..." he said before taking out a cigar and snapped his finger letting his thumb catch fire and took in an inhale of it, all while looking at her "it's obvious we should get some things straight, the big thing is: you're not on Olympus on my home field: The Underworld. you remember? the dank dark gloomy place Zeus tricked me into ruling over all cause he didn't like the fact we were close .... i was alone, hated by all of you LONG before Pandora's box opened, which again ... was you Olympians doing for putting all those evils in there, not mine ... two: that D*NM box is the reason i became like i did. this flame hair is a side effect from it and since you can't remember what it's like to have all that darkness in you, i'll give you a hint: not fun ... my heart was as black as coal and wouldn't even beat anymore and not a single one of you cared! so yes, i stole your son, i tried to take what was supposed to be mine, you wanna spend another hundred years hating me for that? go ahead! but do NOT think for one SECOND i'm the bad guy" he said through gritted teeth not noticing his cigar was now just ash in his hand "unlike what you think, i'm a business man, i am a king, and d*mn it i think i might just be a good husband because if some disrespectful goat treats my powerful and beautiful wife like she's a nobody then i'm going to do something about it, and guess what Hera? she was the one who suggested it!" he said before throwing the ashes at the fireplace making the flames of it get bigger but then died out. Hades however looked tired and depressed after his temper flare went out before turning his back to her then scoffed "though you know maybe your right, maybe i did trick her into marriage" he said in a broken voice then turned his head to her with a frown, his eyes betraying a hint of tears "that's what you were thinking, that's what everyone always things in the mortal realm ... after all: who could ever love a monster like me?" he said before walking off and throwing a hand in the air to wave away a scoff as he went down one of the hallways of countless vintage armors from every era and went to his study. sitting down, Hades put his hands over his face trying hard not to sob and summoned his laptop trying hard to do busy work to ignore his depression

The true Queen of the GodsHera stood her ground, unfaltering as she saw the others eyes begin to glow their fierce red. She wasn't scared of him in the least so if he thought intimidation would work on her like it did those little henchmen he was wrong. Soon a hand lowered and rested on her hip as she listened to the other begin to speak, apparently this was where he was going to make his big stand. And of course right off the bat though Hera would be taken aback by the others claim, she knew Zeus had employed an underhanded tactic to have Hades rule the underworld. But he'd done it because they were close? There was no way that was true. Her eyes narrowed a bit at his next statement, she'd never hated him before the box! She loved and cared for Hades just as much as everyone else, she'd just been so wrapped up in her new duties as Queen after her and Zeus's wedding! Her eyes then narrowed a bit as he brought up stealing her son "Steal!? You did much more than that Hades, you tried to murder him after making him mortal! A newborn infant!" she glared "You have no children of your own Hades, you couldn't possibly understand the feeling of losing your child! To know that you will never get the chance to be there for them, to allow total strangers to witness your child's life blossom!" Hera's heart still ached at the years of Heracles's life that she'd missed because of Hades, the bond between Mother and Child that she didn't get to have with him. Deep down Hera was aware that the darkness of Pandora's box was certainly a powerful force, she herself was apparently under it's spell. However Hera had a nasty habit of holding grudges on being slighted as badly as she was that day was not easily forgotten.
Hera was then about to snap at Hades once again when he was going on about how he thought he was a good husband. She was about to comment on how a good husband would handle such an issue like a mature adult, however she blinked in shock. Persephone had been the one to suggest it!? Surely that was a lie!...Surely. She would then pause and saw something she hadn't seen in a long time, the God she once knew, the Hades from so long ago no longer clouded by her veil of a grudge. When had he looked so sad. And even worse she saw the tears that were threatening to spill over, Hades didn't cry. He'd flare up and get angry, he'd make snappy remarks and be generally unpleasant to be around, how was he making her feel...bad for him? She then stared at Hades's retreating form as he walked down the halls, leaving Hera standing there for once at a loss for words. She stood there for a moment unsure of what to do, the Queen had to process so much so quickly, Hera could feel the burning gaze of the others burning a hole into her back, probably waiting to see what her next move was. She said that he needed to be an adult and speak civilly to Philocletes but right now she knew that at this moment she needed to swallow her pride and take her own advice.
So Hera would walk down the halls and stopped at the study for a moment before pushing the door open and stepped inside, closing it behind her. She had the feeling that privacy would be needed at this moment. Hera stood there silent for a moment, she could see it in his posture, how he carried himself right then. He was holding a lot back. Slowly Hera stepped forward until she was beside him in his chair "Hades..." what could she even say? She should feel triumphant, she'd managed to hurt the man who'd caused her so much grief but yet all she was left with was a nasty feeling in her heart. One glance down at Hades and she saw the person whom she held as a dear friend so long ago that it almost seemed like a distant memory. Slowly Hera would reach out a hand and went to rest it on his shoulder, pulling back a moment as if the touch would burn her. But she would follow through and placed a hand on his shoulder and just let it sit there, unsure of what she wanted to say. Finally after a moment of silence she finally found something to say "Is what you said true...that Zeus tricked you because he didn't like that we were close?" she gave the others shoulder a gentle squeeze. This was information that was new to her, Zeus had always stated that he'd tricked Hades into ruling the Underworld because he thought that it fit Hades's ability rather than the sea or ruling Olympus. Because of his dominion over the Underworld Hera's contact with him had diminished significantly. Right now she only wanted the truth first and foremost.

..hey, how ya doin?.. Hades was so upset and engrossed in his work, a bad habbit he developed years ago, that he barely noticed Hera was there until she said his name and looked up at her in what could almost be discribed as hate, but his hair remained the same. As she spoke, he looked back at the screen and growled lowly stubbornly not wanting Hera to think he forgave her. Call it childish but given his centuries of being 'banished' to the Underworld as he figured, he felt it better payback. But still, his heart told him differently as it ached at such thoughts. Sighing, he closed his eyes and his laptop and rubbed his eyes "Zeus .... always was a whiney child. Figured just cause he was the one mom saved that he should rule over. And he acted like it. He thought Hestia would be interested in me but then she became an eternal maiden, Demeter and i fought constantly and only you got along with me. He thought that i would take what he believed to be his ... the morning before the lot drawing he argued with me, he said if i didn't stop being friendly to you I'd regret it ... then came the lot drawing, i was the only one who drew and Zeus immediately said i had the short one" he said frowning at the memories of everyone promising that ruling the Underworld wouldn't have any downsides "i demanded a redraw but ...." he said remembering Zeus throwing a lightning bolt near Cerberus that opened a way to the Underworld, how he carried his three-headed dog down there just to escape "i was alone for centuries, banned from his and your wedding ... Thanatos even heard Zeus claim that it would be better if i never was married or that woman would be miserable" he said before getting up and put his hands in his pockets "i threw myself into my work, i tried not to feel anything, i hated all of you and my own existance so much the darkness from the Box found itself easily in me ... but none of you noticed or cared, the only ones who did were other death gods from the other Pantheons and that was met with as much believability as you might think ... they were ... my only friends for a long time" he said as a sad smile formed on his face "fair warning i guess; soon as Zeus goes back to his old self, you might consider hiding him ... unless you'd rather see your husband beaten into a crater by three death gods" he said with a morbid chuckle but got serious again "when i met Kore i .... i was terrified. I spent years under the influence of the Box, seen as a monster and evil by the humans ... and she just ... didn't care" he said rubbing his face to hide any tears that might have been forming "i wasn't sure which was more unbelievable; that anyone could love me ... or that your son forgave me before i even begged for it" he said before getting a text alert and pulled out his phone seeing his wife's text. 'one of her friends?' he thought before reading that things didn't go as hoped for Dara about Jack then frowned in thought then smiled slightly "i think .... i had something drawn up for- hold that thought" he said before looking to Hera and went to one of the bookshelves and pulled one to show a large vault which opened to show a room made up of bones and skulls and several items on display like a horror museum and sent Persephone a text i know just the person and just the item, text you in a bit he text before hitting send

The true Queen of the GodsHera saw the look Hades gave her and she couldn't blame him for it, the Queen could become rather nasty when she was upset. It was one of her shortcomings that she was less than proud of. As Hera placed a hand on his shoulder and inquired about the truth she would remain quiet as she listened to Hades's side of the story for the first time, only ever hearing Zeus's take on his brother and what happened. As she listened there immediately were things that contradicted Zeus's telling of what had happened all those years ago. She'd been told that once gaining dominion over the underworld Hades had grown uninterested in her, only using her for company since he was waiting to try and rule over the Heavens. And once he got the underworld Zeus had said that Hades left without any interest in saying goodbye to her. She had been heartbroken at the time, Hades had been one of her closest friends and eventually that heartbreak had turned to resentment towards the King of the Underworld. So once he showed himself in his new appearance it had only solidified Zeus's story in her mind that Hades had always been like this.
Once Hades had admitted that he had been banned from her and Zeus's wedding Hera let out a soft gasp and shook her head, squeezing the others shoulder as he continued on about how Zeus had talked about his Brother behind his back "Zeus told me that you were too busy and was disinterested in attending our wedding...I wrote you an invitation personally...I had given it to Hermes to deliver.." it seemed that Zeus had intercepted the messenger of the gods before her invitation could be sent. As Hades continued on Hera began to feel a white hot anger bubbling in her heart, how much had Zeus lied to her about? How much had Zeus manipulated in her life so that he could have his way? Her grip had unintentionally tightened a bit on his shoulder as she fought to maintain a veneer of calm. As he spoke and tried to be funny it seemed that Hera's gaze would burn a hole into the wall with how intense she was staring "I see..." finally Hera took a deep breath, she'd have to have her Husband answer for his past transgressions when he came to his senses.
However soon a soft smile formed on her face as Hades had spoke about his love which soon caused her to gently rub the others shoulder to comfort him a bit. She was clearly a good influence on Hades. The more she heard the more Hera had a hard time holding her grudge against Hades, at least this version of Hades. This man was the friend she had lost so long ago, the one who stole and tried to kill her child was an impostor in her eyes now. Now that Hera knew the truth, or at least more of the story she felt that she could truly forgive Hades for the past transgressions. Hera would then pause when she saw the other man get up and open a vault of sorts to reveal a rather morbid looking room of bones and skulls. She wasn't put off by it and if anything only chuckled a little bit, it seemed so fitting for some reason. Once he finished his text Hera stood there for a moment in silence as her smile grew a tad sad for a moment "Hades..I.." she slowly approached the other man and stood before him for a moment. She would then look up and pulled Hades into a hug "I'm sorry Hades" Hera didn't ever apologize, to her she was the Queen and had nothing to apologize for as often times she felt justified in her actions "I've said awful things to you and even worse, abandoned you all those years ago" she spoke calmly before pulling back slightly to look the fellow god in the eye "I know I'm asking for too much but could you ever forgive me?" she would understand if he couldn't, he had every right to stay angry at her. It wasn't like her apology could undo all the pain he had endured in his lifetime.

..hey, how ya doin?.. Hades only stood there with his back to her frowning before taking in a breath before looking her in the eyes and smiled "yeah just ... promise you won't hate Zeus. Poseidon and i made up, albeit a rocky way ... and I'd rather have both my brothers slightly contempt with everything. I just hope he'll trim that rubbish beard" he said remembering how his brother's beard went all the way down to his chest, Poseidon had no issue considering he became a sorta god/sea creature hybrid but Hades ... how is it he was the only one to never have facial hair?! "also before i forget, i should probably explain-" he said gesturing to the room he was now standing in "this is what i and the other Death gods call the Mortem Mausoleum. Or one of them anyway. In each version of the 'After-Life', we have one of these to keep the most dangerous, horrid, and often evil objects none of the other pantheons wish to be exposed to living or dead" he said passing a script for 'The Last Airbender 2' and looked through the items "sometimes however, people like to cheat us ... remember Orpheus? He was a son of one of the Muses, i forget which one. Came down here and begged Persephone and i to let him bring his wife from the dead, started playing that lyre of his and I'm going to tell you right now that mortal made Apollo's playing look like an amateur .... Persephone begged me to let him and i gave in, told him he could take her out of the Underworld if he didn't look at her and lead the way out. He didn't but i still have .... ah" he said before grabbing a simple silver string from a floating beam of light "bringing humans back isn't something i like doing for good reason ... but ... i might be able to bend the rules slightly, and this will help ... still has Orpheus' blood on it" he said before pulling out a handkerchief and put the bloodied string in it "right ... now all that's needed is a book from one Nicolas Flamel"

The true Queen of the GodsHera simply sighed a little bit and shook her head a little bit at his request "Hades make no mistake, I still love my Husband very much..but he will answer for what he has done. My anger is entirely justified and you'll get an apology from him" it was the least she could do although a small smirk grew on her face when the other complained about Zeus's beard "Now do I sense a touch of jealousy? Hades you always were the most baby faced of you three" even all those years ago Zeus and Poseidon easily grew scruff that would eventually grow into their full beards but Hades? If she remembered correctly he struggled just to have peach fuzz on his chin. Of course the teasing would end as Hades spoke about the room that the other revealed and listened intently. She would enter the room and looked through each of the items placed, she felt a shiver just looking at one of the items. A script of sorts, she could just feel the evil flowing through it as she quickly moved on.
Hera nodded her head as the other went on to explain how Orpheus came down to the underworld and begged him and Persephone to allow him to bring his wife back from the dead. Aw to lose one so dear to you, it would bring you to the underworld to beg for their life. It was a feeling she understood well. However when he revealed that the mortals skills on a lyre outshined Apollo himself she chuckled "I wish I could have been there, that is no small claim to make" to say that he'd made the God of Music himself look like an amateur made Hera a bit jealous that she hadn't gotten the chance to hear it. Hera would then watch as he retrieved a bloodied string from a beam of light "To bring back someone from the dead is no small feat to be made" the fact that Zeus had been able to revive Asclepius after killing him was certainly an impressive show of power, even if he'd been unwilling to at first. Hera would then fold her arms and tilted her head just slightly "A book from a mortal? Now what would you need that for?" Hera inquired with a single raised eyebrow. She only knew it was a mortal exclusively because of the silly name, mortals always had to most interesting choice in names sometimes.

..hey, how ya doin?.. Hades only allowed a small smirk on his face when Hera mentioned his jealousy but chose not to answer it but instead turned to her when she asked why he would need a book "when was the last time you read any mortal literature? you should consider picking up some novels, the creativeness is something to behold. anyway i digress; Nicholas Flamel is- er, was a French wizard and alchemist that's number two on the list of annoying wizards us death gods deal with" he said shaking his head slightly "he was the one who cracked the Immortality Formula in the form of the Philosopher's Stone ... makes any metal into pure gold and creates the Elixir of Life. but to someone who's dead ... offers a ...." he said hesitating trying to find the fight word "loophole" he said he said with a slight shrug "those wizards don't advertise it but it can also is the key to make a body for a soul to inhabit ... a replica in every way, but more like how we made Pandora but i plan on a few altercations: blood of a demigod for one" he said before straightening up "Dionysus' granddaughter ... lost someone very dear to her and she hates him for telling her that her crew was dead except for too so ... well i hate seeing him upset, and he and Persephone are practically siblings" he said before looking around and noticed a pirate sword, a beautifully crafted one with gold impeded in it's hilt and took it as well "also mind keeping this a secret? i'd hate for a line up of people asking me to resurrect mortals. the other two brought on by Poseidon's request to use that damned locker were demigods anyway ... this is to insure this goes without incident" he said before exiting the vault and yanked Poseidon, who had just came in, by the ear "we got number three, you just need to make sure things go in order, Fish Sticks" he said as the sea god winced rubbing his ear then noticed Hera "what the- since when has she been here?" he asked as Hades narrowed his eyes in confusion "you've been smoking Sea Weed haven't you?" he said making Poseidon deadpan "no i just didn't notice considering everyone looks like they wanna chop off my head ... i'm sorry. it was stupid of me to try to underhand you with the Locker" he said with the last part in a shamed tone and look "it's Persephone you should be apologizing to ... honestly out of all the things you could have said. doesn't matter like i said we have the third, just need to build him a new body" he said getting confused looks from his brother who then looked at Hera "has he been smoking the Sea Weed?" Poseidon whispered

The true Queen of the GodsHera would shrug a shoulders a bit at the others question for a moment, when was the last time she read mortal literature? Hm if she wasn't mistaken..it was... "What the mortals called...The Iliad?" at least that's what she believed they'd called it, but even then it was simply a mortal retelling of what she witnessed first hand. An amused smile grew on her face, the memory of she, Aphrodite, and Athena tempting Paris, Prince of Troy with gifts to win was an amusing one. Hera offered him the power of a king, Athena offered the wisdom rule a country, and what did Aphrodite offer? A beautiful woman to be his bride... 'Men...' she mentally eye rolled. She would quickly be brought back from her musing as the other began to explain about who Nicholas Flamel is, or in this case, was and Hera was impressed to say the least when Hades explained and she slowly nodded her head in amazement "For how frail and weak mortals are, their ingenuity, ability to adapt, learn, and improve themselves has always been their greatest qualities" she spoke with a touch of amazement in her tone. Mortals never failed to impress Hera when they managed to accomplish something that should have been beyond their ability "To have unlocked the secret to immortality itself, I cannot even say I'm surprised mortals managed to discover it" she stated with an amused look on her face.
Hera would then listen to Hades explain how the philosophers stone could even create a true body for a soul to inhabit "It can even create husks for a soul? To create something out of nothing is a very dangerous thing for mortals to have..." for how impressive they can be mortals have also shown a capacity for cruelty and stupidity when given just a little bit of power and this stone sounds particularly dangerous especially for them. Hera would then sigh a little bit when he brought up Dionysus's mood "Well if this works out then maybe I can say three words to him before he blows me off and cusses me out for simply existing" it was frustrating for Hera to even deal with Dionysus, it has gotten to the point where the Queen would just become apathetic and dismissive towards him so he'd just leave her alone such as she did earlier. He had shown her that caring about what he said and thought only made things worse.
Hera would then chuckle a little bit and smirked just the tiniest bit at the God of the Underworld "Do you take me for Aphrodite? Gossip is not something I partake in, don't worry" it felt good to actually speak with Hades, it was like they were making up for lost time which made the Queen feel a familiar warmth she hadn't felt in a long very long time. The fact that she had her friend back. There was the tiniest part of her mind that was warning her to keep her guard up around Hades and that this may be a trick of some sort but in her heart Hera desperately wanted to believe that Hades had truly gone back to how he was before everything. And so she'd for once take a chance with her heart and allow herself to trust Hades. Hera would then nod a bit as he spoke before suddenly he'd grabbed a hold of Poseidon's ear whom had just entered and exited with him. She would stand there with a fine eyebrow raised and her arms folded across her chest when he questioned how long she'd been here which caused her to shake her head a bit. It seems Poseidon hasn't changed much. Hera would then stand by as the God of the Sea apologized to Hades for something he'd done earlier before she arrived. Well wasn't that sweet, the Brothers were making up. Well it seemed like it at least, even if Hades was demanding he apologize to Persephone instead. Hera would then look at Poseidon as he whispered, meanwhile Hera would give him a deadpan look for a moment "Shouldn't you be explaining to seahorses why you made it so that the males gave birth instead of the females or something?" she inquired with before deadpan expression shifted into an amused look with a slight smirk before reaching over to the Sea God and ruffled his hair. Ah it was nice to be with family again.

The true Queen of the GodsHera would listen to the other speak about a darker wizard and shook her head, willingly turning yourself into one of the undead for the illusion of immortality. Some humans were far too ambitious for their own good. The Queen of Olympus would then watch the brothers go back and forth and only smirked a bit at the sight, they really were related. However Hera would pause when Hades turned to address her and she would sigh and scoff a bit "Good luck, unlike the two of us Hades, Dionysus and I have never gotten along" Hera was still willing to give it a try though, she and Dionysus have never even had a single conversation that didn't end in them screaming at each other. Nonetheless though if she could forgive the real Hades (While still holding her grudge against the version of him from long ago) she could hopefully actually speak to Dionysus as well. As the two of them both ignored Poseidon she'd watch as Hades went through his device and ended up finding the information he needed before warning the God of the Sea to not floor the house again which caused Hera to raise a fine eyebrow "Again?" this was a problem that happened before? For some reason the Queen wasn't at all surprised. She then smirked a bit when Ares came in promising to keep an eye on Poseidon while Eros promised to keep an eye on his Father "Ares, God of Babysitting. It has a good ring to it" she teased lightly before turning to Hades and chuckling a little bit "Well as Ares was so kind to volunteer himself, it'd be rude of me to take that away from him. Besides I'm not a fool, if someone else wishes to play babysitter than I'll happily let them" the last thing she needed was to get some gray hairs watching over their family.

Hold your breath" he said before putting a hand on his shoulder and a puff of smoke whirled around them talking them to Elysium Heights
