"Its dead, just not completely dead, big difference there!" Luna called, still having her hand over Haloe's eyes. She didn't want such a small soul to see such a gruesome thing, though most kids by this age had seen some pretty bad things, but she had been hiddin from society for a while. She didn't know what people were truly like except when she was guiding them...

Little Haloe listened obediently though his little heart was curious as a child should be.
Little Haloe: "nyo? Luna...I wana shee, I wana shee!"
THe undead was being hacked away by Arkayid and slowly dying. His body began to shake and a black fragrance lifted from his body flying towards Arkayid who was, by position, on the undead? One would almost guess that it is the spirit of the undead unwilling to die and desiring another more suitable body before it was sent back to where it came...quick! Danger! Get away!

"No!" Luna cried out, jumping back about 5 feet seeing the black mist. That thing didn't want to go down without a good fight. Luna finally lost her temper, and started to call forth the bits of magic she had, "Feary Flames..." it wasn't all that powerful, but she didn't want to waste too much energy, and it was good for protection.
Luna kept jumping back, making sure to hold Haloe tightly so he wouldn't fall, and she could manuver him out of harm's way. Flames licked up at her body, making part of that spirit fade, but it was still very strong, and she had been jumping for about 50 feet, and she was getting very annoyed.

"S***......i lost Maikon....." Junai spoke to himself quietly. He tried to follow Maikon but he was just too fast for him, what with his energy level at practically zero due to all the commotion. Just screw it......Moving in a group is too slow. That is always why i have travelled alone the years before.... He found a small clearing within a fw bushes and decided to prop himself against the tree in the clearing, to look awake while he sleeps. Junai then slumped down and drifted away to sleep....

"Did we take a wrong turn?" Setsuka looked to her twin, confused. "I actually think we did..." Sakura ran her fingers through her long hair as the two stopped to figure out the map. "I think our wrong turn was here, so were....here." Sakura was using her finger to identify their position.
"Do you remember which inn in Domachi you left your staff at?" Sakura raised a brow to Setsuka, who nodded as the two started off again.

Arkayid looked down at the black mist, and instinctively knew two things. 1.) He was screwed. He couldn't fly. Glide yes, but... 2.) This thing was pure evil. Having been born from a creature of ultimate mortal good, he knew this was to be true. Frozen by indecision, the mist drifted up and around him, to engulf him.
Arkayid didn't bother with his body. No, this battle would be fought for it, and his soul. If one could see on the plane of souls, one would find Arkayid, except he was much larger, and seemed to be full grown. The mist was just that, a mass of darkness hungrily reaching for him, and his body.
He first started this war by with a simple gesture, raising walls of pure light. They would break yes, but that was kind of the point for those walls. To give him time to prepare his next layer of defenses.
They broke, predictably, and Arkayid started his onslaught, by slashing through the mists with precision strokes of light, and locking it away from seeping around him. He did not want to invoke all of his protections, just yet. No, those protections were for worst-case emergencies, and he didn't know how to reset them, only to trigger them. Those protections were lain upon him at birth by Mother, who had layered onto him all sorts of protections from things like this.
Arkayid was hacking at it pretty well, when it resurged, and smashed through every defense he had lain. Despair was closing in upon him, and he was desperately trying to fight it, but was losing ground every second.
Of course, this all looked rather peculiar to anyone who was observing this, since he jerked and twitched in random directions, and fell off it at one point in his fight against the creature.

Akemi watched as the group attacked the undead thing once more. There was nothing she could really do to injure it, she knew. There was one thing she could do, but it would risk a forest fire and Arkayid was in the way.
As she watched, a black mist rose from the undead; threatening to engulf Arkayid. Avatre must have seen it as well, because she could feel an intense heat building up behind her.
Hurry and use your forcefields to get the fledgling out of there.
Her only response was a nod of the head as the air shimmered around her. She quickly darted into the mist and grabbed Arkayid by the waist. The shimmery air around her enlarged to cover him as well.
The half-blood was heavy as Akemi pretty much dragged him out of the mist. She quickly looked around to make sure no one else was too close to the undead.
Not big... please, not big... She thought, as she saw that Avatre was ready.
The big golden dragon radiated heat and planted her legs on the ground. She, too, knew that if she was careful that she could catch the whole forest on fire. There was only a short pause to make sure that no one else was in the way; then she opened her mouth and the flames licked out towards the beast.

Arkyaid fought the darkness, with everything he had. He had even considered releasing one of the defensive spells he had availble to him, but when it sharply receded, he capitalized on that and drove it out.
Not opening his eyes, he felt hands encircle around his armored waist, and having learned something from his mother that his father had known, he snapped his eyes open, jerked the knife from its hidden position and held it at Avatre's throat.
His eyes focused on her, and he dropped the knife and slumped back into the grass, to hear the dragon flame the thing. He couldn't really tell what was going on, but why the hell was his armor a whole lot hotter then it was normally? He then realized he was next to the gold dragon that had followed Avatre around. Looking back at Avatre, he sighed.
"Sorry about that, Avatre... Thanks for saving my a**... Again."

((Haha, you mixed the names of my character and her dragon up! xd ))
Akemi collapsed beside Arkyaid, her magic completly drained. "It's alright... anytime." She said, watching as Avatre stopped breathing fire. I wonder how that affected it... I hope the forest is alright...

The Yami-chan Kitty "Put..me down..." demanded Toki, distincly not impressed by all of this and simple changed back into a bird and ripped from her grip and then changed back, not only keeping up with Maikon, but beating her slightly, probably holding back since he didn't know the Way.Mimi stared at the passing groun and then asked "What zombie?" she asked softly "Where did you get that enrgy from. TOKI BE NICE""Yes Misstress Mimi""AND STOP CALLING ME THAT!""Sorry, no can do Misstress Mimi." (eep...bump)

Apparently, the undead thing gave up the ghost, lterally. Arkayid sat up, and his armor rattled accordingly. Speaking of which, it was pretty banged up.
"Well, it's dead I guess. Now we have to go track down our party. I think they pretty much scattered in every direction."

Junai opened his eyes, then he jumoed up in a startled manner. That's right.....I have to go to Domachi......Should I travel alone or find the "group"? he thought to himself. He looked in a few random directions while realizing: He was lost neutral

Luna sighed, this was getting out of control. These people were too much of... well, fighters for her liking. What if a tiger decided to just walk with her? It would be dead in a manner of seconds if she wasn't careful about yelling at the people. She looked down at Haloe, she might actually need people to protect herself since she seemed to be the one taking care of this child.
Standing sraight, she had been crouched ready to jump back, Luna decided that she might as well find everyone. She called over the very frightened, Ninta. She asked him to go gather up whoever he could find from the one's he got to sniff the air around, and ran off. These people are more trouble than what its worth... I'm not even getting paid for this! Luna thought, it was a lot of trouble doing this, and going a far distance too.... out of the forest... where she would be less comfortable... this, would suck.

Arkayid stood up, and decided to take matters into his own hands. "Go look around for the others, I'll go find Luna, and maybe a few others. It depends whether or not I can get the stench of decay out of my snout."
