Lorne had been playing a lot of the games, more or less half-heartedly, pretty much positive that he was going to fail to win anything - of course, he'd kind of come in with a negative attitude to begin with, but - then, all of a sudden, it was like life was throwing him a bone. Or a sign maybe. Down went all the cans, and Lorne could only stare in shock. Then, slowly, a smile crept onto his face, cheeks flushed with a bit of satisfaction. "I did it?" he whispered to himself, almost questioningly.
Then he went ahead and after some debate, Lorne grabbed one of the stuffed dogs. He didn't know which prize Nadia would actually have preferred, but... he did like the dog. So the dog it was. With that said, he was about done for the day. Time to go home. At least he had something to show for his efforts!

Alright, that was twice now trying everything and failing every time. Maybe it really was time to stop. And yet... Owen knew that he probably wouldn't. There was something addicting about all these games.

...She missed again!
Yolie paused in dancing to the music, and stared, eyes narrowing. Then her foot resumed tapping, the girl narrowing her eyes as she forced herself to focus more.
"Come on, now is no time for dancey, people depend on... Wait no." Yolie shrugged. People were hoping for charity. And swhe was... paying.. charity...
WELL IT WAS A DAY FOR DOING GOOD. So that was just fine.

These cans were being really mean to her, but she was determined to make them fall over. Normally, by this point, she would have walked away, presuming this game was somehow cheating her, but...
She saw other people winning, so there just had to be a way to do it. She just needed to figure out how. Maybe it was just about where Raina was aiming? Maybe she just wasn't tall enough yet--
No, she was over five feet, she was definitely tall enough! That thought was silly.
It was still worth a shot, though.
Raina, for her first two balls, got on her tip toes so she could aim her overhand throw a little higher. It seemed to cause the cans to wobble a little bit, but they still wouldn't come down, and Raina landed back on the balls of her feet, frowning. Well, that was sucky...
The last two balls were tried with her leaning over the side, because the guy running this game either didn't care or wasn't paying attention. Unfortunately, that didn't help her a whole lot either.

Actually it was getting close that knocked the wind out of her. Breathless near-hitting and momentary disappointment. It seemed to be its own rush, in a weird, weird way. In the meantime, Dione was starting to come to terms with the fact that she wouldn't be winning a big prize. But she was getting a pretty good work-out for her arms!

He really seemed to be having some luck, better than some other people he'd seen trying their hand at his game. Liam was managing to win some plushies for the children. Feeling he was doing well, plus the children wanting him to continue, he paid again and tried once more to throw some balls...and he hoped he'd win again.

For some reason, Raina could not let herself let this terrible cheaty game go.
She just had to win it.
"I'M GOING FOR IT AGAIN!" declared Raina, loudly, slapping down the tickets. The girl running the game seemed amused at best and maybe a bit smirky at worst, but she gave Raina the balls she wanted.
Of course the balls didn't manage to knock down the cans. She knew they weren't going to. At this point, she was convinced that the people who managed to win were just really strong for some reason. All she could get was, at most, a can.
But she couldn't give up.109

Her arm was getting tired. That had to explain why she was slowing down. Well, maybe it was time to saver the Fair from Zayne, but she had a final turn in play, and Yolie pitched hard, humming through each until finished, and she rubbed her arm slowly. She needed to carry some four massive stuffies anyhow, and thjat would be work enough to do, the girl sighing as she began to gather everything, and leave.
It was a good day, just tiring.
