It's ok... unless you're an unlucky person like me, who wants to study computer arts and that course doesn't exist here gonk
I'm not surprised. Portuguese it's about the 6th hardest language to learn. Even the spanish find it hard to understand and they live right next to us xp

I've always thought Portugese sounded very nice on the ears though. For some reason I don't get that same feeling when I listen to Spanish. I don't know either though, like you Ioyla. xD <3.
I think Viatnamese is the hardest language to learn, isn't it? *isn't sure what the "official" one is, but I read that in some book somewhere o_o* From all the accents, supposedly?
Portugal, thinking of that sounds very exotic. I don't know what it's like there at all. But even a lot of my relatives in Ireland don't have a computer/internet, so I'm glad you do, Birv! >.<

I think, personally, Chinese is the hardest language to learn. @__@ Or French. Yeah, French. So many damn accents and exceptions and spellings and blaaaargh. *head explodey*
Risth - One time, I spent an entire day watching Spanish soaps, and I was soooo close to actually understanding the story line. XD

Except it was this completely WEIRD movie where this lion was in the woods like eating people, yet they all believed it was sacred?? *we called it "the Jesus Lion" and dubbed over what people were saying >__>;;* Man : JESUS! Jesus Lion : *MAULS* xD; I would say Chinese too...except when I worked at a library I had to shelve all kinds of books in other languages, and you should SEE the accents in Viatnamese... It's quite blinding... I've no idea where to even begin, honestly...

It's not a bad country, but it's still a bit underdeveloped... and when it comes to arts it's 30 years behind gonk
As for language we have a lot more open and closed sounds than the spanish and we still use a good deal of our old vocabulary. That's why they find it so hard to understand (don't know the opinion of other nationalities though) I do remember hearing something about portuguese being one of the best languages for poetry and us having an easier time when it comes to speak in other languages, because of our wide range of sounds. Don't know if it's true xp

Or perhaps Brazil? *Spain is a very pretty country; unfortunately I'm quite turned off by Brazil e_e;* I think if I had all the time and patience in the world, I might choose to learn Portugese after a few other languages. >.>; I do quite like the sound of it.

Gabe: *chokes*
Never been to Brazil, but from what I've heard and the pics I've seen it's quite different, in social and cultural ways (not to mention the weather and geography) As for Spain, the south of Portugal looks like it, but the north (where I live) has a lot more mountains and the climate conditions can be quite harsh
If I could choose a language to learn it would be Japanese xp

Birvan - My teacher is part Brazillian and part...Columbian, I think, and one time he spent the summer backpacking in Columbia's wilds and almost had to amputate his foot, because it got a wicked bad cut and got really infected. ^^;! But he and his foot survived, so it's all good now. <33
