Ivory watched as her tail effortlessly went above her head, but then she stung herself with it. That was odd, now he could smell a little blood. His tail tucked up under him, trying to protect the venerable parts of himself. She wanted to know why he was running...He moved his tail so that it was in front of him, and he started playing with it very nervously. "There are too many people here. You are supposed to run when there is a threat that you can't handle." His voice was extreemly soft, as he seemed to calm down when he was playing with his tail. His time in his tribe had taught him that. It was better to live, than to die on the side of the mountain.
He had let go of his suitcase, not having found where he needed to go to put down his items. This was a mess. Why had he come into the party room? He knew that he wasn't any good to anyone in here. He didn't really know what else to say.

Charlotte couldn't help but tilt her head ever so slightly over to the left hand side. The words they spoke made her twitch and her tail swing a little to just behind her. ”You only run if you and your team cannot handle it. And even then you only do that to lead the threat to a place where you can. She stepped a little forwards. Her eyes flicking open again noticing there defensive posture now
”We are huntsman in training.. We are the first and last line of defense for people in villages and towns. The middle line is the army. We can't afford to run away can we. she was a little bit more serious than normal. Though that quickly dropped back to her ‘usual;’ slightly annoyed tone. While Charlotte knew it was better to live than to die. It was also better for one to die than hundreds. Or possibly thousands depending on what city fell. ”Anyway its only nasty abusive humans and faunus. Not like any grim are here to be a threat so why are you running? she repeated the same question with a different spin on her own words. Adding a small increase to her pitch at the end almost to embellish the point.

Ivory played with his tail more. It was still pretty loud in the gym, and he was being taught things that no one had taken the time to teach him. "I've never worked on a team before...I've always been alone..." He didn't even know how he was going to work with others. He had no reference points for working together. From what he knew, his power was only good for running away, or towards something...
He nodded his head, taking in the information. The lady was making sense. He wanted to protect people even if he didn't know how to do that quite yet. He almost put the tip of the tail in his mouth while she was talking. "There are too many people here, it's loud...I don't like loud, or crowded..."

Charlotte seemed to freeze as she watched the ‘female’ in front of her ‘eat’ her own tale. The look of confusion was evident on her face before she slowly tilted her entire tail and her own head to the left hand side. ” please don't give yourself a furball? And i mean here is a good place to learn to fight alone and on a team. Both are useful skills correct? Charlotte forced herself to smile towards the ‘female’
It wasn't long after that her tail flickered over to the right hand side. Her left hand came down to run a single line of blood across her own cheek. Almost as if she was marking herself for something. Her eyes flickered behind the ‘Female’ before she started to speak again. I am charlotte. it's nice to meet you i think? She couldn't help but chuckle to herself ever so slightly. Her brain was wondering if the female in front of her was going to eat her entire tail out of nervousness.

Ivory was still playing with his tail. A fur ball. That never happened, even after sucking on his tail. He looked up at the woman, she was trying to make sure that he was ok, and a bit calmed down. His voice was naturally soft, something that he couldn't help. "I'm hoping to learn how to protect people." He wasn't lying. His body was covered in the claw marks of an Ursa. It's one of the reasons he wore long sleeves, even in the summer. He didn't want people seeing the damage that was on his body.
"I'm Ivory, Ivory Maguire, it's nice to meet you." He gave a little bow. You always bowed to the alpha, otherwise the Alpha would hurt you. That was the thoughts in his head. His tribe mentality keeping him from leaving her presence.

As she was sitting there on her chair she watched as other people were talking with one another, it looked like fun to her meeting new people, but for her it was always hard to make friends since she didn't know how to talk to people a lot, but then her focus broke as she felt someone come to her radius. At first she thought that someone took a step back but this person stayed exactly where they were, she finished her coke as she pulled her scarf back up and looked up. Looking up she saw that it was the headmaster just staring at her, she felt a little uncomfortable being in his gaze. When he sat next to her she unfolded her legs but didn't look at him as she didn't know why he was near her like that for, then she looked down and saw a flask given to her. She looked at it and saw that it was a flask whom she expected to see alcohol in it as she held out her hand and shook her head as she would say quietly. "N...No Headmaster, I'm only 18 you shouldn't be giving minorities alcohol..." Xandria said as she gave him the side eye as she then took a sigh and looked around wondering what was going to come next.
Cecil looked at Azura as he leaned in close, just mere inches away from her face as she seemed to be as bright as a button before she responded accordingly. “I see... observations are good, but can be seen as creepy from time to time, so be careful with who you observe. My name is Cecil Roydon. He leaned away from her as she was being formal and polite with him, it was nice as he nodded his head. “I am an Ice huntsman in-training... got here through shear scholarly achievements alone.” He responded, marking himself as a smart add who got into a combat school.”If we are to be on a team together, I will provide you help with homework at the very least.”

Charlotte couldn't help but raise one of her eyebrows as the ‘female’ said that she was wanting to learn how to protect people. But wanted to run away from a simple thing like crowds of people. Least she introduced herself as Ivory Maguire and even gave a little bow. However charlotte brought up her left hand and gently taped the back of Ivorys head. Smile slightly appearing as she waited for him to lift himself back up to standing. Before bowing slowly herself. Though she kept her head up so her eyes never left Ivorys body or eyesight. Her tail did come up due to the bow. Ending about a foot above her head. Even if that head was now closer to Ivorys stomach in height. You should not break eye contact unless you are sure they are not hostile. Even then better safe than sorry correct miss runaway?”
Charlotte couldn't help but giggle a little at herself after she had said that Her attention drifting a little bit off the ‘female’ in front of her. ” So what did i miss? As i was a little late to the party i will admit… I was busy. She spoke in a slightly flatter tone than she meant to. Especially as her eyes narrowed on some of the males in the room. She had learnt they tended to try and have ‘size’ contests. Least that is what she interpreted them as. Though in her mind she knew they could be trusted to do that. While the females often were bigger and a more constant threat. Each one of them in the room earned her a quick stare to try and gauge their abilities before she fluttered her attention on. Though charlotte did keep her new ‘friend; in eyeshot at all times. ”So you are going to be a new Hunt's person? Where are you going to protect? A village? Everywhere? Nowhere? Your own hide?

Ivory rubbed the back of his head as he looked up. She then bowed to him, her tail getting bigger. She then warned him not to break eye contact unless he was sure that they wouldn't attack him. Then she said something that ticked him off. "I'm not a Miss, I'm a mister!" His tail moved from a defensive position of a more Offensive position. He was aware that he didn't like like a man at all, he looked more like a boy. He didn't know why the lady in front of him thought he was a female.
She then asked what she had missed. "The Head master just welcomed us to the school, and told us that classes would begin soon." His tail was going back and forth in irritation. He was a male damn it. "I'm going to go and protect my tribe." It was the first time he had talked about it. He wanted to prove that he was strong enough to do everything that he wanted to do. He hadn't realized he wanted to save them from the grim that they constantly moved away from.

Charlotte couldn't help but blink as her attention flickered back to ivory soly. A slight look of shock on her face as the ‘female’ said they were male. Her own tail snapping back behind her and resting the stingers on her left shoulder. She even noticed the slightly more offensive position though didn't seem to take much note of it just yet.” Oh i am sorry. Your name is more feminine and your face even looks a little feminine if i am honest… Oh you want to protect your tribe? Noble goal i guess? She forced a soft smile across her face
Though Charlotte did seem a little relieved that she had only missed a general greeting and not the announcements of teams or anything important. Though important was a very broad term. Her eyes slowly seemed to narrow again on Ivory as she couldn't help but giggle ever so lightly. ”So you have to learn to stand your ground and fight more than run away to protect your tribe? Or do they all run away in what case you need to stand for a limited time to buy time for them to move? In what case .. what happens when you need to run or do you fight till you die? She was actually wondering about that. Either the person would have to be amazingly strong. Or have a team as well to help. Maybe the tribe he was from sacrificed someone every grim arrived. Possibly that was there way though it seemed inefficient

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ Sister, she said. Shui-Lin wasn’t expecting her to reveal more than her status as student. Then again she was expecting nothing out of their conversation. The chance of them ever interacting again was low, despite them being in the same class. Whatever was being said here wouldn’t probably prove to be useful in the future. But wasn’t the point of conversation in general supposed to be pointless and fun? Her adoptive father would prefer it that she could be more social than him. Shui-Lin took another sip of her drink before replying, “You must be close to your sister then, for her to follow you here? Or was it the other way around?”
‘Atlas, huh?’Thanks to what Onyxia had just said, Shui-Lin concluded that her loyalty had originally been with Atlas before the fall of said kingdom. Thanks to the style she dressed herself, it had also been very obvious that she was a part of some kingdom’s military. The woman appeared not to be concerned at all about revealing such things to stranger, and Shui-Lin might not be the only one she had told them to. “Well, then Miss Morrison,” She stated definitely, having chosen to show respect for her age. “It’s a pleasure to make an acquaintance with a highly experienced warrior. It truly surprised me, though, that someone of your caliber would tolerate being put in the same level as us novices. Certainly you prefer the company of people as war-oriented as you. Then again this place doesn’t really treat ex-soldiers of another kingdom so well, do they?” Her tone was still emotionless and the expression on her face betrayed nothing. Suspicion clawed at the back of her mind. Career change huh? Someone like her wouldn’t have bothered with such thing, mostly because of pride and also something else that one didn’t have privilege to know, unless they have an ability to peek into another’s mind. Shui-Lin simply wait to observe the woman’s reaction.
When the white-headed mentioned about the academy giving one last chance for them to be a kid, Shui-Lin simply shrugged and took a sip of her drink again. “Such thing means nothing to me. I prefer to get start on training than just loitering around.” What she purposely left out was that she had lost interest in being a kid—so naïve and clueless to the world—for so many years now and would never ever go back to those times. “So why exactly are you here?” She stayed silent for a moment, allowing her question to sink in and be misunderstood for something else as she wait for a reaction. Then she continued, “Talking to me, I mean. As you can see, I’m not what people would call a good company, and out there in the crowd, surely you would find a better one who could entertain you…so what gives?”

Coming to his sense Jazz determined that he should give Lunia a chance to meet others without him. She's more than capable of doing so, if anything I'm holding her back. Quickly finishing his glass Jazz pondered over what he should do in the meantime. A lot of students had met a number of faces, most of which they wouldn't remember, he didn't want to be just another forgotten face. Now would be a good time to explore the grounds. It is getting rather late, maybe I should have gone to speak with Headmaster Aurtrox. Looking back at Lunia he wondered if she had asked the same question.
The day had been enjoyable so far. He was now officially at Beacon, the opening ceremony was more than likely going to end in an hour or so and to top it off he had, to a degree, made some friends. All in all it's been a pretty good start. This got him thinking what to expect going forward from now, classes started tomorrow and would become the bulk of his life for the next four years.
I wonder if I'll be in Chikaras class first. I hope he doesn't try to test me on the first day, I doubt I'm going to get enough sleep to be functioning at 100 percent tomorrow. Despite his desires he decided to assume the worse. That would be a good way of testing a huntsmen though, sleep is not a garuntee in this line of work.
Although he had intended to move from Lunia he simply stood there looking out at everything happening. He was deep in thought once again, a habit fof his.

𝓣hings continued to dwindle even more, and even if Lavender could relate to Lunestra's plight, it didn't really matter. The two were fundamentally different -- Lunestra noted the advantage that Lavender had when being small, even if her height was no different than it currently was while Lunestra was sitting. Regardless, she wasn't entirely sure what else to say or speak of. As per usual, the heiress was drawing a blank on how much further this conversation could go. She had nothing of import to touch base on, and she didn't feel like complaining about having to be at the afterparty any longer. Now that she thought of it, she had been in doors for far too long. She needed some space to open up her wings; she needed the indigo night washing over her for a spell.
𝓘t'd be rude if I just got up and left her, though. . . I don't want her to think I find her dis-interesting or anything. Mm. . .
𝓐s if on cue by the cosmic forces of the universe bending at Lunestra's will, a new arrival approached in the radiant physique of one Joji. All the heiress offered him was a cursory flit of her gaze, and then she shortly returned to staring into the void known as the Gym entrance. Their conversation was. . . Innocent enough, with Joji being forward and asking about what Lunestra could assume was the girth of Lavender's horns. An inward chuckle was all Lunestra could muster, a small crack of a smile gracing her dour. It was hilarious how someone could be so forward, and yet so innocent. It seemed as though this ABC conversation needed to be just A and B, and Lunestra would be glad to 'C' herself out.
"𝓘. . . Must go tend to something outside of the Gym. I will perhaps see you later on in the year," Was all she elegantly offered, splitting her gaze between Joji and Lavender, although mostly towards Lavender. A sparing glance to her brother and one to Lunia, and then Lunestra began to make her way towards the entrance. Her brother would know why she was leaving -- for the fresh air outside. No doubt that the swan faunus needed to stretch her wings and soar for a bit, or something along those lines.
𝓢he continued her trek towards the door, dodging looks and gazes, and hoped to depart soon enough and into the outside. 𝓗opefully no one tries to stop me. . .

Chikara watched Jazz walk off after his proclamation, This was a good start and he'd use it. After Jazz he'd recruit more under his wing and things would fall perfectly into place. With a good feeling Chikara turned and began to head out the door,He needed to get his classroom together for his first lesson.

Joji clasped his hands together with joy, she had accepted his request to join his team. The other lady though, she didn't give an answer. Instead, she had other business to take care off that resided somewhere outside of the gym. "I Understand miss." He said, still smiling. He nodded as she trailed off towards the exit and turned back towards Lavender, his new team mate. He placed his hand on his chin, and began observing the young lady for a few seconds. She's a sheep faunus, she's quite short, she's very cute. Joji's interest quickly began focusing on her amazing, and rather large horns. He wanted to reach out and touch them gently, maybe even run his hands up and down them in a massaging manner. What was keeping him from doing so is the fact that she may not like it. Maybe it was a breach of space? Maybe she was nervous about this whole situation. Joji finished his observation and had an abundance of questions, each he'd save for later. "It's nice to meat you, Lavender." He gently grasped her right hand with both of his and shook it lightly. Thank you for joining my team.
