"The sun keeps falling when you woke up."

Joji continued forth with his direction, seeing as though they were getting closer to the dormitory. "But how did we end up here though? We came here through a path that wasn't there before-"
Just as he was about the finish, they would end up back inside the courtyard.
".....HOW??!?" Joji questioned. "It's almost as if- wait a minute....wait just a damn minute. These foot prints..." He payed attention to each path thoroughly. They ended up back in the courtyard as they were heading towards the dormitory. Even more weird, these footprints disappear when they reach an area. "Is there something I'm missing??? The idea I'm coming up with isn't making any sense....Okay what if-" In that exact moment, Joji had a break through. "Oh my god....Okay i feel dumb, but all of you trust me right? In the distance, something catches his attention,
and that was the key to this whole mess. Joji began praying that he was right about this. "Follow me."

She stands there holding her head, reeling backwards with comical anger branded over her face. “AUUUUGH! COME ON! Weren’t we just here?! How?! We absolutely went away from this stupid courtyard, and yet here we are!” she shouts at the top of her lung, letting her frustrations clear the open skies. After calming her nerves a bit, she stands there hunched over with her head and arms hung like she lost a sports game or something.

Though, truth be told, she doesn’t trust anyone at this school yet, she decides to play along and slowly straightens herself out with a smug grim. Her hands rest behind her head once more and she lets out a small but hearty laugh. “Yeah, I trust ya, Cap’n. We’ll have to if we wanna get out of this mess with our heads intact. Sorry for my display just now.” she says while following behind him dutifully. ]

Xandria wasn't very good at following foot prints, she thought that they were going in circles and going no where, what if these foot prints were just some student who were looking for clues just like her, she wouldn't know. Then Joji said out loud how he might have something, remaining quiet she listened to him to see what he was in mind or his thoughts. When Joji asked her and Rori if they trusted him or not she nodded quickly and answered. "Y..Yes I do trust you Joji, why do you have something?" Xandria asked feeling relieved that he had something planned or he was hot on trail. As Joji asked the both of them to follow him she nodded looking at Rori for a moment then ran after Joji following closely behind him

She hadn’t even been in bed, sneaking out for her own extracurricular activities. With a lack of students the Wasp Faunus hadn’t been assigned to a team. Lena brought out her spray guns, she was going to pain the boring grey into a mural of colors. Thinking of some the videos her adoptive parents she began to look around. Trying to find a good place to start her art.

Zaffre Gervagis

Zaffre was quietly pacing across the courtyard as he was making his way to the library to return a few books on his study on Grimm. After a very close-call with a Nevermore, he had found himself submerged in piles and piles of books decorated with illustrations and diagrams of the Grimm. He sped through paragraphs on their physiology, psychology weak points, fighting tactics, and dozens of other details. However, he became too indulged in his thoughts on the creatures that he didn't notice the uneven ground ahead of him. His foot tripped onto the crack and he stumbled hard enough to drop the books he had in his arms onto the ground, books and pages spread out on the cobblestone in a very ungraceful manner. "Oh.. dammit. How undignified."

He looked around for any witnesses, but thankfully for his dignity, there were hardly any people around. As he picked each book up individually, his eyes laid on one that he had forgot to read, titled Theories on the Origin of Grimm.

"Hm... do I have time to go through this one?" He thought out loud to himself.

It was one hour before he had to return the books.

He had time.

He found himself a secluded spot in the Courtyard, unknowingly within the distance of Lena, who was out of his field of vision as he began to focus in on the book, turning page after page at an impressive, unmatched speed.

xxxFinding her own spot amidst the trees in the courtyard, Oto was doing what she did best. Observing. Sitting with her back against a sturdy tree, the girl scanned her surroundings attentively, notebook and pen in hand. Her eyes darted swiftly from scene to scene, and as she basked in the comfort of the tree shade, Oto took in every little sight and sound that presented itself to her. Back then, her surveillance would have been for potential threats, but now there was no need to be on high alert at all times, and that was a little off-putting for the girl. For so long, she had yearned for the freedom to just sit back and do nothing, but even months following her arriving at Beacon, Oto was still struggling to adjust to her newfound way of life. Though academic stresses brought on a new and unique set of challenges, it paled in comparison to what Oto had to face prior to her arrival at the school. Little by little, the girl was slowly working to undo the mental conditioning that she had endured for over a decade, but lately it only seemed to be getting harder.

Oto had tried her best to clear her mind earlier for a peaceful meditation session in the courtyard, but to no avail. In her notebook, she had also jotted down random scribbles and doodles, but soon gave up on that as well when it proved unsuccessful at quelling her thoughts. Though she found the most benefits from meditation and self-reflection, it was hard for her not to slip into old habits and analyze her surroundings. ’Maybe the courtyard really wasn’t the best place to try and relax…’ She thought with a small frown as her attention was drawn to a young student that, after a misplaced step, had sent his books sprawling onto the cobblestone floor. Grimacing, the girl weighed her options – Go help? No… that would be adding insult to injury. Do nothing? If he didn’t see that she watched everything unfold, that would probably be the best tactic to save face for the both of them…

Scooting her way around the tree so as to try and hide the fact that she witnessed everything, Oto’s attention was now drawn to a young Faunus who appeared to be intending to vandalize school property. Far from a devout follower of rules, Oto chose instead to watch and see what kind of masterpiece or mess the girl was intending on creating, and what kind of trouble she would get into once the faculty and staff see.

After finding the perfect spot to start the limbs from her harness actived. Her two hands and the two harness limbs began to paint. Lena was going to make a rather realistic looking Ursa Major Grimm. What would look like a bunch of random lines slowly took shape into this realistic being. With added limbs it took no time at all. Covering twice the area she normally could. Chuckling to herself Lena spun on her heal but stopped. She had not only heard another person but caught a glimpse of a figure in the true. Cursing under her breath she shrunk, to a person from a distance it would look like she vanished with how quick it was. Going for a quick sprint, activating the jet drive, she took flight towards the tree. Upon reaching the suspected branch the blue was clearer. It was a another student. Landing softly on the girl's shoulder she gave a quick look over. "Spying on people isn’t very cool."

Zaffre Gervagis

Zaffre had already gone through a good chunk of the book, faster than he had expected since a lot of the pages had illustrations. But not much to his surprise, all of it was speculation. Some Grimm theorists say that they were humans that had somehow lost their spirit, and became possessed by the forces of darkness. Other stories mention the involvement of Gods, and although Zaffre, as a cynic would never would expect to find the answer to such a monumental question in a library book, he couldn't help his mind going into a dark place. Beings that feed off of negative energy, things that only know pain, anger, fury. Did it hurt to be a Grimm? Or was it exhilarating? Did it feel good to them to diminish the joys of life? He was slowly zoning in more and more into the book, until he heard an odd sound coming from a short distance away. Was it some sort of bottle rocket? He lifted himself up from the grass and started walking around the corner of the wall. How childish, he thought. For his fellow students be playing around when...

"Huh. An Ursa." His train of thought derailed when he turned to face a rendering of the creatures he was just reading about on the wall. The coincidence was chilling, and sent an odd shiver down his spine that he tried best to ignore.

"...Defacing school property? Get a life..." He grumbled out loud. But, he stared at the art piece on the wall, his thoughts were still fresh on the horrors of the incomprehensible beasts, and he couldn't help but take out one of his books that had thorough descriptions on land-based Grimm. He had completely failed to notice the fact that two people were now accompanying a tree at a distance away from him, as he looked down at the Ursa diagrams and back up at the graffiti.

"Hm... well the body is sure in proportion. But..." He looked down for a moment longer. "The arms should have been done a bit shorter and..." Once again, the student got focused in his own thoughts of facts and formulas, and stood there like a critic deep in thought.

Incoherent lines and blobs very quickly came together into what Oto recognized as the spitting image of an Ursa Major – an interesting choice. Oto had expected the student to be tagging something in defiance or rebellion to the school. This to her seemed more like an artistic, studious endeavour. But regardless of the intent, Oto had to remind herself that it was wrong to do. Vandalism was bad.

When the student was done, she seemed to disappear in the blink of an eye. This wasn’t too unusual in a place like Beacon, where people exhibited all types of unique semblances. What caught Oto off guard was the voice that came from her shoulder. Mistaking it for a person creeping up at her from the side, the moment the first word was spoken that shattered Oto’s peaceful quiet space, her body kicked it into automatic mode. In her mind’s eye, Oto had already formed the image of a stranger approaching from mere inches to her left. In the blink of an eye, one hand sank to her belt as it reached for the handle of her Yata no Kagami. The other reached behind her, and once she found the handle of a kunai from her utility pouch, Oto brought it out and upwards in a fluid motion in the direction of the voice, aiming to stop just short of the jugular. To her surprise, no one was there… or so it seemed.

With her sight aligned to the open courtyard, Oto directed her eyes down just a smidge. Standing on her shoulders was the same student she had been watching from afar. With a sigh of relief, Oto dropped her hands and returned the kunai back to her pouch. ”Neither is sneaking up on them.” Oto retorted, bluntly. ”We’re even.” Though her voice seemed to lack affect, there was a subtle rasp of annoyance in her tone as she spoke.

”Looks like you’ve got a fan though.” Oto pointed at the male student now – the same one that had dropped all his books earlier.

Clenching to the girls shirt as she moved about. Lena laughed though as they were now even. "Fair is fair. But I think he's more critique then admire." Looking over to the boy and chuckling before she sat down. "Mind if I hitch a ride? I’m stuck this size till this time tomorrow." It was a down side to her semblance, but she could do so much with it. "I was half tempted to do something more rebellious but I thought it would be funnier to scare someone." Crossing her legs as she tilted her head a little. "Lena by the way."

Zaffre Gervagis

Zaffre had stood there for a good moment, unaware that eyes have been on him when he thought there was none. He stood back, chin resting on his hand as he shook his head.

"Well, it's convincing I guess."

He sighed and tilted his head as he weighed a few decisions, which didn't take more than a couple of seconds. As his critique floated to the back of his mind, arrogantly charged thoughts pushed themselves to the forefront of his head. "Hmph, I've did a LOT of studies on the Grimm, I could totally do a better piece than this vandalism job." To the bespectacled student, it was just his own egotistical thoughts being made out loud. However, to the wasp Faunus hidden away in the tree, it could have almost sounded like an insult to her passion and craft.

Zaffre had a bit more time left before his book returns were due at the library, and shaking his head once more, he just about turned his heel and began to walk away with the books in his arms.

"Welp, I should probably go report this." He murmured to himself as he began to move, coincidentally the path he began to take was close to the tree that was holding Lena and Oto.

The fact that this student had shrunken themselves and was now claiming it would take them a whole day before they return to normal, that likely meant that Oto would have to spend at least part of her day with her. She had done so well trying to blend in with the crowd and not stick out that Oto hadn’t really made that many acquaintances in the months that she’d been in Beacon, let alone friends. Gritting her teeth, Oto yielded, giving Lena a light nod at her request to hitch a ride. ”Oto.”

Catching wind of Zaffre’s declaration of reporting the act of vandalism, Oto approached the student, arms crossed as she eyed the boy. ”You don’t have to report it…” She more demanded than suggested. ”The school is bleak as is. A little color never hurt anyone.” It seemed ironic, coming from a girl dressed in all black.

Hitching a ride, on Oto, Lena watched where the black claded girl went. The demand in her voice was subtle yet strongly present. "And no way you would out me do.” Standing up on Oto's shoulder, arms folded. "It is amazingly real and has a high chance of scaring a person." She looked the boy over, examining his body movements. Using the jump jet she hovered in the boys line of sight. "Plus you tell and I promise to make the next hour of your life unpleasant. I will induce vomiting so bad you wish your mom had ginger ale." Stinger ready to pop out at a moments noticed she eyed the boy before laughing. "Nah... as fun as it would be to see, you’d probably tell anyways." Hovering back to Oto's shoulder before taking a seat again.

Zaffre Gervagis

Zaffre's hand instinctively moved towards the handle of his weapon when Oto made her presence known just out of his line of sight. His face which was a scowl in response to the black claded stranger's words to him, changed quickly into confusion when he noticed the stranger's significantly smaller friend on her shoulder, who was giving him a disproportionately large amount of attitude. He shook his head with a sigh.

"Not only is it vandalizing school property, but it's a poor choice if you want to call it a little color." He stated pointedly, as he gestured towards the Ursa on the wall.

The focus of his attention was caught by the smaller one who was hovering in front of him as she sounded like she made a threat. It was clear that irritation was starting to flood his face as he tightened his lips, tapping his finger on the books he was holding with an audible pap, pap, pap, pap. Then at Lena's last remark, he scoffed. Zaffre began narrowing his eyes at her as he responded, not bothering to acknowledge her threat.

"I assume your size is due to your semblance or something? And if you have a stinger, either it's a weapon or, I'm gonna take a quick guess that you're an insect faunus." He made a humph before he continued, "If so, that's appropriate, because you seem to have the personality of a pest."

He took a step back, looking ready to end the conversation and continue off his way to the library. "I'm glad I don't have the misfortune to have been teamed up with a pair of thugs." He said arrogantly, as his eyes darted between Oto, and her new companion on her shoulder.

Zaffre was already in the process of being assigned his team members, and it never would have crossed his head that they were also waiting for their assignments.

Perhaps, that maybe even fortune might have had a trickier plan at play for them.

She felt no malicious intent in the boy, even despite the tone in his rebuttal. People were strange, and Oto had already felt like she had too much human interaction for the day. Once the boy stormed off in the direction of the library, Oto turned to her companion. "Should we follow?" She asked, unsure as to what the Faunus had intended on doing with their new acquaintance.
