Sailor Encke

Unsurprisingly, because of course it wouldn't be easy to get out of a mirror, or whatever this was, there were multiple routes to take. He scanned over all of them, not wanting to stay particularly long in one spot.

In the end, he chose the route leading upwards. Up usually seemed like the correct direction to get out of something, and it might give him a better vantage point. Thankfully, due to being fairly athletic, the stairs didn't exactly pose much of a challenge, and he was able to skip a couple stairs at a time as he made his way up.

Unfortunately, he wasn't finding much of a vantage point, considering how dark it was. Maybe going up wasn't the best choice.

Too late now.

Encke: 8 + 5 = 14

Zachariah Faulkner

Stumbling forward, Zachariah was a little too dazed to put much thought into which direction he was going to go in. There was an obvious route in front of him -- he could go forward. The easiest route was not always the best route, but it was likely the one that required some of the least effort.

There was a moment where he considered taking the stairs, instead, but anything that led down or up--and potentially back into the smoke--did not seem particularly logical. He had just fallen from what he presumed was above, after all, and below was an entire unknown. He wasn't sure he wanted to go deeper into whatever he was in now.

So he stuck to his instinct and trudged forward, gradually gaining back some of his balance. It was a good thing he did, too--the path was narrow at best, and if he wasn't careful, he would have ended up over the edge.

He noticed there seemed to be a lot of people ahead of him, so in an attempt to give himself as much space as possible, he stayed a bit further back.

Zachariah: 1 + 2 = 3

Shikora Mjoli

Since that way seemed to be where out was, Shikora decided to not let herself get distracted by the other paths around her. She was going to keep going forward.

Besides, she hated stairs.

She wasn't exactly fond of razor thin paths that led into doom with a misstep, though, either, and that was exactly where she ended up taking herself. More than once, she let out a yelp, nearly tumbling over the side, but she managed to get her arms out, take a deep breath, and straighten herself out each time. She would just have to take it slow and careful.

It was like she was in her biology labs again.

Slow and careful.

Shikora: 6 + 1 = 7

Hyperborea, Transcendent Knight of the Cosmos

Hyperborea had a second to think when the path split into three directions and she chose to run up the stairs hoping that ascending she would find a safe haven.

Total: 9+(4+2)= 15


Alexandra Argead

Alex was about to take the path downward when she saw a familiar feline face. Hania was with two senshi she didn't know. She changed her path and rushed over to the three adults figuring it was better than going alone.

Total: 6 + (7-5) = 8

Lt. Atheneite

Atheneite decided that trying to higher ground seemed like the best idea so she headed up the stairs.

Total: 6+7= 13

Sailor Tachibana, chibi senshi of Chrysanthemums

Tachibana figured it would be less work for her hurt leg if she took the downward path so she descended the stairs.

Total: 1+10= 11

Sailor Ara, chibi senshi of Illumination

Ara charged straigh ahead not really thinking to try either of the other paths as she ran down the straight and narrow path.

Total: 7+(1+1)= 9

Lt. Lapis Lazuli

Lapis ran up the stairs hoping maybe he could find a level that wasn't breaking apart and threatening to send him into the abyss.

Total: 10+5= 15

Dongmei

She'd been limping the entire time, trying to be fast but the pain of injury and the stickiness of blood had made everything so very difficult. And precarious as she worked her way with the crowd ahead to try and find salvation. It didn't help that she wasn't very tall and barefoot while many of the others were taller or at least had shoes that gave height.

What she wouldn't have given to catch up to Ananke so that she at least was with someone she knew.

Stepping to the side to let some one pass, knowing she was holding up the line, Dongmei had been so close to reach the fork in the road (such that it was. really it was more of a trident but that just sounded weird) when she misstepped. There was a small noise and the teen attempted to right her balance but it was to no avail.

Over the edge Dongmei did topple, down towards the strange black smoke. She could only hope this small mistake wouldn't end in her downfall.

Sailor Kaye

"Isolda! Are you okay?"

Glad for a path that split off, Kaye was able to meet back up with Isolda. Who came with an attached Hania, who knew? She'd been surprised that the guardian cat had been pulled in to this mess as well, but it was nice at the same time?

He was practically her teacher in all of this for the moment.

"And Hania, hello. I trust you're doing okay too?"

Trying to catch up while being out of the way, and also (hopefully) safe, was a little difficult with all the people around. Who knew who would bump into them? Of all the people around she really wasn't expecting a child to end up in their little group.

A child who looked scared and out of breath. Immediately she kneeled down to look them over.

"Are you alright little one? Is there anyone here you know?" God she could only hope so but the chances seemed slim. Especially with this mess.

Sailor Lacrimosa

The path itself hadn't been terrible once she reached it, though she found herself a little lonely if only because she saw no one she really knew. At least it gave her time to look around and take notice of everything around them (not that there was much). It would also allow her to try and see if there was anything she might be able to do to help anyone. If some one needed help that was.

The problem came when there ended three separate ways in which to travel. Three options and one to choose, any could be a good or a bad path. Though she had thought about taking the stairs, in the end Lacrimosa ended up deciding to take the path ahead. Why change direction when this one had been decent to her so far?

She hoped she wouldn't regret the choice.

Lysithea

Lysithea kept one hand firmly in Airi’s fur, nodding at his request and upon standing, she reached an arm out for Malus, pulling him close and fiercely kissing the top of his head. “I went in right behind you, Malus. And somehow the mirror decided to be an a** and not put me with you. You’re okay though? You’re not hurt? You’re not too scared, right? We’ll get through this, I’ll keep you both safe. I swear.”

Her eyes were on the three paths and she decided that going up would be the best…what if there was water or something on the downstairs route? And the path straight ahead looked far too narrow to safely or comfortably hold the three of them. “Mal, speaking of that, I need to introduce you to someone, and please, don’t freak out.”

Lysithea glanced at the senshi, squeezing his shoulder and trying to convey a deeper meaning with those words. “This…is my friend Airi. He’ll be staying with us, okay? I’ve promised to protect him, and you know I don’t break my promises.”

Super Sailor Caia

Caia wanted to give Theodore a questioning look as he moved amongst the crowd, but as the pathway narrowed he found himself trying to stay as focused as possible and make sure he—and Theodore—didn’t go toppling over the edge.

“I don’t know if that first part is exactly true but I do promise that I won’t drop you,” he said cautiously; he was quite confident that the cat would have been in the same predicament as he had been even if they hadn’t shown up together. Whatever was going on, they weren’t the only ones—and though Caia felt a bit guilty about it, he was happy to know that they weren’t alone.

Maybe things like this were normal?

No one had broken down and started crying, so he was hoping for the best.

He kept his arms wrapped around Theodore and chanced an effort at conversation—at least to try and ease his nerves while he kept his eyes on the narrow path. “Do you see any of your friends?”

He wasn’t much for direction; he simply started following the first path he spotted.

Corrupt Sailor Citrine

The senshi of limes didn't seem to have too many troubles racing forward and, so far, no one had stepped on her hair. That was always a plus.

More than once she looked for someone she recognized, inclined to want to not suffer through this hellish mirror-related race alone but unlike the hospital trap, she was completely and utterly alone.

Well, void of people she gave shits about and now was not the time for her to try and meet any new playthings, which was a true shame as there were plenty around her to choose from.

With that in mind, when she reached the crossroads she went for the route that should have given her a visual vantage. It failed, because only darkness awaited her, but she had tried.

Citrine: 9 + 4 = 13

Super Sailor Adria

Adria let out a little groan and untucked his head so he could see who was calling his name. He hurt, but to see a friendly face—and to know that Lace was all right—brought Adria some measure of relief, even if the rest of this whole situation was just making his stomach churn.

“Okay,” he agreed, though it was with some measure of reluctance. He was sore, but Lace was right; lying around wasn’t going to do anything for either of them. He pushed himself up, careful not to accidentally crush the kitten.

She’d said we, and his mind immediately registered that it meant they were in this together.

“We’ll be okay,” he said, hoping that it sounded more convincing to her than it did to him. He reached to pick her up, carefully holding her in his arms as he protected her from the feet of the crowd. He kept his grip loose enough that she could jump out if she needed to, but at least he could make sure that she was all right, for now.

“Is this all right, can I hold you like this? I promise I won’t drop you,” he assured, moving quickly down the path—and hopefully to safety.

Theodore wanted nothing more than to be back home, curled up on his pillow on Miss Prissy's bed but as he was unable (without his hat no less!) he had to settle for the mostly sure grip of Caia's arms cradling him. It was not as lovely as having the pinkette hold him, but it would do.

At least gingey was obedient and intended to take care of him. It was a relief, not having to dart through limbs and legs in an attempt to scramble to safety.

"No," he huffed, ears flattening against his head as he pressed his nose into the crook of the arms carrying him. It was difficult for him not to feel dejected, but it was probably for the best that he didn't see Miss Prissy. It meant she was likely safe in the city, unless her stupid head boyfriend was being a jerk to her.

That was likely.

"Wait, where are you going. No! Go down the stairs! Wait wait!" Theodore's head shot up and pink eyes narrowed. "Why would you choose to climb stairs."

Theodore: 6 + 7 (10-3) = 13 (Took a drop to 7 to remain with Caia)
