"More information than anyone's given to me outside of business transaction which is very reassuring to me" Patrick said with one hand over the left side of his chest for a moment. "Would be a pleasant surprise they are here or those immortal jellyfish" he said after glancing at the sign Saeki had pointed to. Followed after him once the walking began once more in the direction of the hall the jellyfish are displayed in. "Would koi normally be seen at aquarium?" he asked. "No need to be, it wasn't an accident and survival wasn't a choice. Yes, my kitten companion and the reason I can stabilize myself for his sake" he replied and smiled warmly when he was talking about Hiro. He was being subtle about the first part of his answer. Not like he was against learning just didn't think it was needed after all this time and didn't know of anyone who would to teach him. Listens intently to the story of koi and dragon as it was being told to him. Noticed the light blush and thought it was a nice touch to already handsome and majestic looking face. Tries to imagine the younger male all wet from swimming which almost got himself blushing. "Chances of seeing that is probably slim for me anyways. Just being on a date with him is more than what deserve for the most part" he thought reminding himself not to get his hopes up. "I can understand why their admired and the moral of the story and why people want them so close to home. They remind of salmon, but they don't such a great origin story" he said. He thought the story sounded oddly familiar to something he saw in a western cartoon one time in the past. "Now that I've heard the story I want to see them even more in person" he said with some excitement in his voice. Looked to the jellyfish floating around the tanks and they do remind him of plastic bags and he can understand how sea turtles can get them confused with each other. “Do you know some of the jellyfihes natural predator is?” he questioned Saeki.

Saeki smiled a bit when he hear the other's reaction. At least they were happy he gave his info so easily, so that was positive. They really seemed to lack quite some self esteem it seemed to the keen young swordsman. It was a shame and in Saeki's eyes they didn't need to be. They looked handsome, so far their demeanor seemed a mild and friendly one and he was enjoying the time they were spending together. In truth Saeki wondered what idiotic person could have caused Patrick's frame of mind. Patrick was a fine young man, so someone had to bring him down like this. When they replied to his reaction to their near drowning the young man had his suspicions. Not as much as where he said it was no accident but how survival had not been a choice.
Saeki was about to ask point blank if they had tried to drown themselves, but he thought better of it and shut his mouth about it. If they had been it would hardly be a topic for a day out like this. and it was just as possible that he was utterly wrong and might instead risk insulting the other which was something Saeki did not want to do. He enjoyed their company. Thankfully they were distracted when he mentioned who Hiro was and the young man smiled relieved. Maybe it was best to avoid what seemed to be a darker subject for now.
"Hiro sounds like a good companion." he commented instead and thought to himself about the question that was asked earlier. "Hmm, not where I am from perhaps. But here where Koi are more exotic, I wouldn't be surprised if they had them." Saeki explained about koi. After that the other spoke of his refound interest in koi and wanting to see them and Saeki chuckled. "Perhaps we are lucky and we can find them here as well." he said and smiled to Patrick. But first, they headed to the jellyfish, to see if they could find Patrick's favorite. The young man looked around them as the jellyfish passed next to them and over their heads before his eye rested on a similar species. Now Saeki was known with the moon jelly, but not into every detail so he wasn't sure if it was the right one.
"Hm, looks alike, but is this the one?" Saeki asked and pointed out the jellyfish nearby. When they heard the question he had to think though, not that he could be certain. "Well since that seems to be the case in most animal and nature, I feel rather certain to say mankind is at least one of them." he said. "As for fish among fish....An octopus maybe?" he mentioned and looked at Patrick to see if he was right.
There was a list of people in mind that Patrick could warn him of who to avoid, but he consider that it would be like being spiteful which was something he doesn't do. Besides there was a chance they could treat Saeki than they did him and there was a chance the guy not come across which he find it to be lucky that hasn't happened to him the last few months. "He is more friendly, he is more social, he is more trusting. When comparing to him the word 'more' is applied to it" he thought to himself. He will always rise to a good mood when talking Hiro especially when the kitten is not around. A switch that comes in handy nowadays if he happens to be a bad or dark mood. "Most certainly true. My one and only animal companion and he was worth the wait. He's my proof that I can take I can take care of another living being" he said smiling brightly. "The word exotic sounds like the right keyword for them to qualify to be here. Considering how special and cultured this city can be it would be weird if the aquarium didn't have them" he proclaimed hyping up the anticipation. "If I'm not being too presumptive I think you are a bundle of good luck" he said honestly. A few bad dates, he count himself grateful to go through more than decent date today. He looks the jellyfish that Saeki was pointing to as closely as possible. Noticed it had translucent, moon like circular bells and short, fine fringe cilia. "That is a genuine Aurelia aurita aka moon jelly" he confirmed and he is delighted to see one so up close. "Yes, and vice versa depending on the species. Mainly for the moon jelly its other species of jellyfish, birds, shark, other large fish species and sea turtles" he added more info about jellyfish. "They say jellyfish are officially the only being that is immortal because they don't die transform themselves back into their juvenile polyp state. Transformation, it reminds me of myself, but in reverse, which is something that I literally went through" he shares more about himself.

Saeki was glad to see that switching the topic to his kitten was a good way to distract the other. they perked up right away. This alone attested to the young man just how much Patrick cared about his cat. It was a nice sight really. Perhaps now he lived on his own he could look into a pet as well. As much as he enjoyed being independent now, it was the first time he was all alone in an entire house. He just arrived so it hadn't been that long yet, but he could imagine it might get a little lonely at times. Saeki smiled when Patrick said Hiro was proof he could take care of another human being. "From my point of view I struggle to see how you even doubted that you could. You come off as a caring man with plenty of responsibility and beyond responsibility for food, water and healthcare all a pet really needs is affection. I don't see that being a problem either. You sound absolutely adoring about Hiro." Saeki replied. A bit bold perhaps, but he hoped it would help Patrick to feel better about it all.
The next distraction came in the form of their favorite animals. Saeki chuckled and looked at the other. "Why thanks, that is a kind thing to say. I appreciate it." he replied to the other calling him a bundle of luck. when they got to the jellyfish, Patrick took a closer look at the one that Saeki pointed out. He wasn't to well known with all the jellyfish, so he wasn't certain it was the right one. When it turned out to actually be a moon jelly, the swordsman smiled. "Found it then." he said happily.
He listened while Patrick spoke of the predators of jellyfish, quite impressed they knew this much about the fish. "Immortal huh? I knew jellyfish were different, but I didn't know all of them possessed this trait." he admitted though he was surprised when he heard what Patrick said after. "Are you? Immortal I mean." Saeki asked curiously. It was an intriguing subject, though to be fair the male didn't know if he wanted to be immortal himself. It was a scary thought for him to be immortal to be honest. Not that he would hold it against Patrick if they were, nor would he treat them any different.
As Patrick listened to Saeki, he didn't know which emotion to go with so he went with surprise. "Wow" he said and cracked a smile with a blush across his cheeks and the tops of his ears. "Wow, just doesn't do it justice, but it's the first word that comes to mind. If you struggle to take care of yourself you would struggle taking care of another living being. I didn't know I wanted a kitten until after I was introduced to him and went off of the difference I was told of cats vs dogs. I gave him what I was never given as a kid and named him after one of my old friends. I really appreciate hearing your opinion and your the only one who has ever said those things to me and I very much thank you for that, Saeki" he said a little teary eyed in a good way. He was going to hug the other male, but refrain from it thinking they hadn't known each other for that to be appropriate yet. Instead he wiped away those tears were on the edges of his eyelids and feeling his face cool off some. Chuckled along with him, "Your dearly welcome" he responded to being thanked. "Indeed" he said smiling also. He thought the moon jelly even more cool in person than it did on a television screen. "Do you watch Saturday morning educational tv programs?" he asked. That was how he learned of the moon jelly and the other jellyfish in general. "Yeah, their more than just translucent looking and humans have always looked for a way to lengthen their life span" he commented. "In a sense. When I do die and is dead for more than seven minutes my body will dissolve into hair, ash, and dirt and return to the earth which is where I took my first breath in. Similar to how it is portrayed about vampires in movies when the sunlight kills them off. Its Peterson thing, the bloodline is so far removed from the norm" he explained the best he could. "Want to see what I looked like before puberty? Its as close to what I have as a baby picture and I do have a Hiro also" he asked him.

Saeki was surprised when he saw Patrick's reaction. They really seemed to take it to heart with what the young man said and Saeki smiled a bit to them. Still he had only spoken his thoughts. That was how Patrick came off as to him, so he never did doubt that Hiro had a good life. As they spoke again though it became quite clear why they reacted the way they had. "No one else has ever given you positive words? I just speak up on what I see and think. It's a bit strange no one else before deigned it appropriate." he said and looked at the other. Just what kind of a family did they come from? Saeki grew up with understanding parents that were protective but gave him his space and never spared a moment to tell him or his sister they did something well and how proud they were.
To hear Patrick never had such in his life was giving him a sad feeling about it. A lot of achievements he had accomplished were successful because his family stood by him for the 100%. As did he and his sister for each other and their parents. In his mind it was only normal to give praise where praise was due. Thankfully it looked like their tears weren't bad ones. Luckily the jellyfish gave some distraction too. In truth Saeki had been a bit distracted by his own train of thoughts about this all when Patrick's voice called him back to the here and now and he looked at the man as he asked about a program. Saeki shook his head a bit. "I don't watch much television. I still spend a lot of time training." he admitted and smiled gently.
Not that he much else to do at the moment. This blind date, which was turning into a very nice day despite a slight feeling of melancholy about Patrick's history, was the first activity in a while that did not include training his karate or kendo or meditating. He didn't rest much of his thoughts in that though, instead focusing on his current companion. Not that it was difficult to focus for him. He liked Patrick so far with how he looked and behaved, his adoration to Hiro and how he reacted to the jellyfish. "I see, so kind of like a cremation but without fire." he came to the conclusion, It was an interesting idea, but something he caught himself wishing would not happen anytime soon. Saeki felt perfectly eager to spend more time with Patrick, they seemed to match up real well too.
"I'm still not even sure how I want to end up when I die. But in theory I should still have seas of time before that needs to be finalized." he said and smiled to Patrick. After all he still had his whole life ahead of him. "Still I'd think twice before staying in the presence of a vampire. With you I enjoy my time." Saeki admitted to the other and chuckled a bit. Imagine being with a vampire for a longer time and they would end up thirsty or worse. "I'm quite curious to how you looked, so if you are truly comfortable sharing it with me, I would love to see it." he replied about the photo. Maybe Saeki should ask his parents to send him some photos of himself so he could return the favor next time.
"At your level? And not work related and in this city? Benjamin from couple of days back who I was on a blind date and he tried to friend zone me in the middle of the date came close. Otherwise not for several months after my break-up with my ex, positive words were for when I made attempts on my life. Before this city, Kenzie in my home country, then a few years back my old friends and school counselor if it's not about my abilities. Anyone else used positive words usually don't mean it so they can mislead me or use me for something they want or a roundabout way to make themselves look better or downplay their role in causing pain and drama. I was pretty easy to take advantage during my schooling years" said Patrick while rubbing his beard a bit as he thought back to his past. "Ever since I recovered from having amnesia. Reading the journal and looking back on members was like learning about a different person which I usually refer to as the first Patrick. Originally moved to this city for closure about a ex-roommate who lives in the same housing district as you" he said revealing an old condition of his that he told less than a handful of people about. "Someone who've known me for less than a day saying wonderful words is such a beautiful sight to behold. I would ask for a hug, but I think it would be too soon for that" he admits, but he was hopeful to wrong about the hug part. "Me neither and usually about the forecast. With how bad the weather has been lately led to spending a lot more time indoors" he said. "So training, what does that entail? Generally, if you may not want to go into details" he asked politely. He nodded a little to the conclusion then momentarily look at the jellyfish so he doesn't look like he was staring at the other male for too long. "Normally people wouldn't want to think about until their way older and I can understand the sentiment behind doing that way" he said smiling at him. Couldn't help blushing a little when the other said he is enjoying his time with him. "At least I know I haven't screwed up badly thus far" he thought. "It's alright, I'm not embarrassed or self conscious about my past appearances" he said softly as he took out his wallet and reveals Patrick version one, and next to or under depending on the angle it was what looked to be a professionally hand drawn and colored version of himself during the changes of puberty, and next to the first version was his kitten, Hiro.

The longer he listened to Patrick, the more it dawned to Saeki that he might not be far off with his initial guess. In the middle of all Patrick told him, his worry was actually confirmed when they pretty much came out about trying to kill themselves. By all accounts it turned out that the other's history was very much unlike his own. Quite the opposite really. He had always been happy, his parents always supported him and his sister and him had a normal relationship as well. Even when it came out that Saeki was homosexual, his parents hadn't made it a problem either. Of course this could be because he already has an older sister for his parents to get grandchildren. But in general they just wished their children a happy life. Regardless how.
Yet Saeki did not move to interrupt them or anything. He just listened as they spoke of a lot of their history and made note of it. A slight hint of surprise came over the young man's face when he heard the other's ex lived in the same district as him. If they would end up meeting up more often, granted Patrick wanted to as well, that might cause a problem. The last Saeki wanted was to end up making the man encounter a darker past. Especially if their stability was in question as it seemed to be now. Unless of course they were stronger now and no longer trying to die.
Either way it looked like he unknowingly had surprised Patrick big time. And just by honestly telling how he felt. At least they were happy about it, Saeki thought. When they spoke of a hug though, Saeki looked at them and blinked a bit before he thought about it. "Where I come from it is very rare to be hugging." he said thoughtfully, though he himself felt a little conflicted about it. Be it purely because of his upbringing and background. Yet he did move away from Japan entirely because he wanted to experience something new and broaden his horizon. "Oh come on then." Saeki said and chuckled. It wouldn't hurt right, so why not and they did seem the type that could use a hug after such a history.
Granted Saeki hadn't hugged anyone since he was a young child and that had been his mother. So he was quite out of his depth here. After that though it seemed to continue on normally enough as they continued to explore the aquarium once Patrick was finished with the Jellyfish. Saeki wondered if they would have the triggerfish though, considering they were quite Tropical inclined. Usually aquariums showed other species that were less common. "Has it been so bad here with the weather?" Saeki asked with some surprise. After all he just arrived here the day before so if any storm occurred before that, he wouldn't know. When they asked about his training though Saeki smiled a bit. "I didn't expect you to be interested in that." he said chuckling. "Most aren't." Well his parents were naturally, but his father trained him his first many years.
"My father has always trained me in martial arts like karate, kendo and tai chi. That already started when I was old enough to stand on my own two legs. Even though he no longer trains me as full time, I still keep up with the training. Though of course that is also what he expected. I even kept one of the largest rooms at my home free of furniture so I can train inside if the weather isn't good for it." he explained. Of course his training were with his wooden katana, since he never did unsheathe his real one since he got it, but he figured Patrick would know as much. Their martial arts seemed to be a great hit he noticed once he moved to the West. When Patrick took out the pictures, Saeki looked at them and he smiled. "You were attractive even then already." he said and chuckled. When he saw the image of Hiro he smiled gently. "Ah, the famed Hiro. He looks cute. My parents never did let me have pets, knowingly. Perhaps I should have a look around." he said as he looked at the photos.
Once they moved on he looked around to see if he could spot an area with koi somewhere. They were also very popular in the West he saw a few times, so there was a good chance they would run into them here. Certainly a few aquariums further Saeki spotted the ever familiar glimmer of the fish and he smiled. "There they are." he said as he increased his pace a bit. "I had a feeling they would be here. I haven't been in the West for long, but I noticed people seem to be quite fond of them." Saeki said and looked at Patrick. They were in several sizes. Some black, some black and white and the usual orange and white. But even a yellow and white, which were quite rare in his memory.
"Sounds like special for it to be such a rarity" Patrick said joking a little. He had calmed down and caught his breath from the tip of the iceberg history lesson about his childhood. Hugs were a rare thing for him too and can count how many times he had one on one hand. He was going to accept not getting one until Saeki spoke again. "Really?...calm down. Don't get too excited" he reminded himself not to get all giddy and excited in his thoughts smiling big time. Happily accepted the hug and closed in on the space between them. With both arms wrapped and leaning in a bit to compensate for the height difference. Kept his facial hair from clashing with Saeki's hair or skin the best he could. The hug lasted for eight seconds thinking any longer would make it awkward. Warmth was very nice while it lasted and acted gentlemanly in not being handsy. Took a moment to look around when they went on to the next area. "Yes. Flooding happened recently and had to bring Hiro to work when things got bad. Left a mess after its over, and using my earth manipulation is difficult when the ground is overly saturated with water. Good thing the garden is had a built-in drainage. This season and the last got a lot of rain and when it rain it pours for long periods of time at different strengths. Hurricane season isn't over yet, but hopefully the city won't be on a path of one" he replied about the weather. "As someone who trained himself and took self defense. I am curious about the other types of training out there" he commented about why he is interested. "You sounds like a very diligent student. Unlike with my training where doing it indoors isn't an option" he responded to the explanation. He was taken aback by what Saeki about him. "Hm? Me attractive back then?" he questioned him and questioning his sanity there a bit. "I recommend the city's Cat Meow's when you're ready. I met Hiro about a month after moving here. I suggest keeping in mind how they will affect your daily schedule when you make your final decision. You could use my name as a reference for your first vet visit in the future" he advised him about pet care. "Yes, the legendary koi" he said smirking. Laughs a little mentally noticing the other had increased his pace. Stood next to him after catching up with Saeki, "Thanks to the right amount of exposure. Their very much worth the finale of this visit" he proclaimed smiling softly.

"It's not something that is generally done where I am from." Saeki said. He had to admit it felt kind of awkward at first but that was probably because he came from such a reserved background. Nonetheless he wrapped his arms around Patrick and hugged back. If it helped them to feel better as well all the more bonus. For Saeki it was something new as well to realize just how much taller the other was, or perhaps he was the one that was shorter. His family did always stay around the short heights. All in all when they let go, he had to admit that hugs felt kind of nice. It had been a long while since he experienced it and he had almost forgotten how it was. But their exploration left little time to wonder about the consequences and reasons of hugs as they went further through the aquarium.
Still their next topic was quite a bit more serious and Saeki had to admit he kind of hoped he had escaped those storms by moving to Soleil. But as it turned out, they were here as well. At least they were nothing new to him. Perhaps though, there would at the very least be less earthquakes. Floods feared him a lot less than some earthquakes had. It was probably the fact that one could not stand still during one and so far he always ended up falling over if he wasn't holding anything. "And here I was thinking I escaped hurricanes." Saeki said and shook his head in a feigned dramatic manner as he shrugged. Of course it didn't really matter. If one would happen again, he knew what to do at least. "I'll be happy enough if I experience less earthquakes." the swordsman admitted.
"I'm not to fond with how it knocks you over and the lingering thought the ground could give away from under you if you are very unlucky." he added but he smiled to Patrick nonetheless. He didn't have any problem with the other being Earth Element. Though they only just met, Saeki had a feeling that Patrick would never cause one, not against him anyway. Perhaps they even knew a way for Saeki to keep standing. Not that it changed the fact he had lingering fears for sinkholes. But then, who didn't? "So I was lucky to even have those delicious vegetables did I?" he asked Patrick and smiled. He would definitely buy vegetables from the other again, they had been wonderful. And good ingredients made for even better meals.
"I can only imagine how your training would rip through a house if the powers of earth manipulation are like I think they are. I can understand you not wanting to train inside." It was a whole deal different from his own training after all. He just needed space around him. They seemed quite interested in Saeki's training however. "Why don't you join me sometime?" the young man asked and offered an invitation at the same time, even if it weren't on paper. "I'm not sure how you'll like it or if you might end up bored. But I am willing to show you some of our techniques." Saeki added and smiled. Of course it was all up to Patrick whether they wanted to take him up on that offer. When he commented about the photos though it would seem the other's self confidence took a dip again, but they seemed sufficiently distracted talking about Hiro.
At the same time they gave Saeki a warning of sorts it seemed to him. It was true that a pet would take a lot of time. But with some thinking and perhaps a bit of experience, that shouldn't be a problem. Especially if they could join him everywhere. "Thank you Patrick. That is very kind." he said when they told him they could use his name for reference if he got to a vet. After that it had been Saeki's turn to be slightly distracted however. The koi were a piece of home. He did miss them, so it was good to see them. Though he was visible surprised when they mentioned the latter. "Finale? Did we see the whole aquarium already?" he asked a bit surprised. That had gone by fast. Perhaps because they were enjoying themselves so much.
Saeki thought about it for a moment but then he conceded. It wasn't like he could magically enlarge the place. Still he was enjoying this day. It would be a shame for it to end so quickly. "Then how about we think of some place to eat lunch?" Saeki asked Patrick and smiled to them. "Unless you'd prefer I cook us something." he then asked thoughtfully. It wouldn't be to hard and he didn't even know if Patrick liked eating out. They mentioned not liking crowds much earlier. Maybe a calm lunch at either their house would be a better idea.
"You don't have to do it again if you don't want to. Once is good enough will be good enough for me" Patrick said. He thought it was pretty brave of the guy to allow him to hug him in the first place. "Hopefully I was not terrible at hugging since I have no one in this city to practice with. At least I bathe regularly" he thought himself to be lucky to have gotten a chance to hug Saeki even if it was just this once. Lingering scent of the other's body odor after the hug had been over. The numbers of passing visitors has been increasing steadily. Didn't mind being heard or seen since he wasn't self-conscious about that sort of thing and he overshares about himself. "With me around earth related disasters are unlikely to happen. Control was a problem as a kid because the abilities would activate on their own and can be overwhelming on my body and emotions. Even created a large crevice outside of school grounds that drained me enough that I almost fell in too if one of my old friend's father hadn't shown up in time to pull me up from the edge. Don't know if there are other people with the use of the earth element" he said sharing that he has been through the experience he had described. He nods, "Yeah, if they were in the hands of amateurs. I sold the best ones and kept the unqualified" he boasted with pride. "Which is why I go out of the way to train far away from buildings, and people" he said to him. He got all excited at the invitation because it another rare thing that happens for him. "Of course, I accept" he replied right away. "Boredom is when I have too much time on my hands. I would watch you all day if given the opportunity" he added about the offer. He put away his wallet now that show and tell is over. "No problem" he replied. He wondered if he could use him as a pet sitter at some point in the future as a form of practice for the younger male. "This place is filling up more becoming crowded and it's hard not to notice anymore. We've seen most of what is available. If you want to be with the koi a little longer I can wait by the exit for you. Plus the souvenir shop since this is your first visit" he answered and offered. Turned up the concentration of listening to Saeki, "Lunch? The situation makes sense now" he mumbled to himself. "The second option sounds more alluring and I'm interested in trying out your home cooking so I want to pick that one" he said smiling.

Saeki smiled a bit when they mentioned about the hugging. It had been quite out of his comfort zone. But he also knew very well that where he lived now had very different ideas about how to act. He was just glad that his parents had made sure their son had learned English as well. Of course being a Hot Springs business they saw a lot of tourists as well, so it had been an often used second language. Home schooling had been the perfect solution in his case. As he listened to Patrick though it quickly became clear they were at least in control of their powers. Saeki could only imagine how fearful such experiences must be for children. When they learn they aren't like others and still getting a grip on their abilities. He had been spared all that being human.
Sure his lifespan was among the shortest. as mankind tended to be, yet longer than the general world population from what he learned in his foreign studies. It was said this was due to their diet, which made sense in a way. Once again they skipped topics quite fast but so far they could keep up with each other. A chuckle escaped him when Patrick mentioned to much time bored him. "I guess I could see that. I don't sit still much unless meditating so that might be why I rarely get bored." he said and smiled. But when meditating you were hardly just sitting around of course. He nodded when they agreed to having lunch away from people. Since he offered it to Patrick, perhaps his own house would be the better choice, also because he would be cooking and he had all he needed there.
"That is alright, I can come back for the koi sometime." he replied about the other's offer to stay a bit longer while he waited. "Let's go to my place. I can make us a genuine traditional lunch. Hope you like Asian food though." Saeki said and really hoped they did. Because that was usually what Saeki made for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He stuck to his Asian diet that he had known his entire life. As they walked back, Saeki gave another look around as they followed the hall back to the entrance, but he didn't stop until they reached the souvenir shop. "Give me a moment, I will be quick." he said, since he didn't want to make Patrick wait to long. It wasn't like he was a huge stuffed animal collector but he did still like them. Yet he had brought none with him from his home.
It wasn't a child version of attachment though. Saeki just thought that a few plushies around the house made it more homely in his opinion. And since he didn't bring any from his parental house, he decided to look here. Still he didn't take long and when he got back with one medium dolphin and one large seal plushie, only some minutes had passed. "Let's get some lunch." he said and smiled before leading Patrick away from the, now getting slightly crowded, aquarium. Unless Patrick would object, he would lead them to his house in Lumiere, just hoping with all his heart they wouldn't run into Patrick's ex. Saeki didn't want the day to take a bad turn for the other. It was going so well. "Do you have any preferences? Or perhaps something you don't like or can't have?" Saeki asked Patrick as they walked. It was good to know when cooking for someone else after all.
Patrick does meditating too, but he doesn't say that out loud. "With it being lunch hour and no real eating places in this area that has a lunch menu. I would have suggested to my place, but I'm not that bold and no one else has seen the place since I moved there" he thought. He was very pleased on the other's reaction about leaving this place overall. "I don't dislike Asian food" he replied since he doesn't have a favorite dish from that culture. No favorites food dishes in general if ever asked for one he would usually pick the one is the most unique sounding to him. "Mode of transportation is on foot, right?" he asked him as he walked along with him. He was really hoping to be on foot no matter how time it will take to get to Saeki's house. "Okay" he said in reply to waiting for him. He stood near the souvenir shop while patiently waiting for the other's return. Tried really hard not to let his mind wander so he distracted himself by observing which was something he used to do a lot as a kid. Wasn't surprised to see that one of the plushies was a dolphin because the younger male didn't mention earlier that it was his favorite marine animal. He nods slightly and follows Saeki's lead out of the aquarium to the open outdoors once more. He shook his head a little, "None of the sort. After being forced to eat soil only during puberty I make it a priority to enjoy all foods and my taste buds agree" he answered him. He was gong to let Saeki decide on what he wants to cook for their lunch. He will be well behaved as guest in someone's else home of course. Took out his journal to check the address the other wrote in earlier. "Some very nice handwriting" he commented in his thought. Turns out the house number isn't the same as the one he used to live in. Relieved to know it was nowhere near close to the part of the district he wants to avoid being near. Although it was unlikely to be an encounter to ensue, but the more distance the better prevents him from worrying about it and overthinking things. [exit]
With him being extremely with a lot of things, his Neon Lights shift included in the roster, it was only today that he managed to get the day off. His last visit back in Soleil Aquarium had been a long time ago with Aileen being his companion. But now, Chester wouldn't mind going back again, though this time, it was was with the one whom he considered as a good friend, Kisari. The ginger-haired texted him a few days ago if the aquarium would work for the next meeting. Luckily, even with the setbacks, the schedule alignment worked well in Chester's favor. Hence, he being there right now near the entrance to wait for the other.
With the weather being suitable for the moment, he settled for something casual, t-shirt with baggy shorts and a pair of sneakers. He checked on his watch; 10 AM was the agreed time for the two to meet up. It was now 9:50. Ten minutes left. Chester noticed that there were several people going solo as they reached the entrance to pay for the fee, though there were also a few families as well as two couples being lovey-dovey as they held hands. That gesture suddenly reminded him of Jessie' if it wasn't for her, he wouldn't known what was like to be with someone, even if it didn't last as much as he had hoped with things getting in the way. There may be a chance that the same thing may happen between him and Kisari as they would begin to know each other a bit more. Chester may just be overthinking a bit as he shook his head to clear such thoughts out. Best to be safe than sorry to say the least.
