Voice ActorName: G'lin (Formerly Gwyndolin)
Age: 18 20
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: It is a mystery
Weyr: High Reaches Weyr
Rider Rank: Wingrider
Previous Rank/Craft: Beastcraft - Hunter
Physical Description: G'lin is a very small man - or perhaps 'boy' would be a better word for him. Even in his late teens, it is fairly obvious that G'lin won't be growing up to be a particularly muscular specimen of a man, and what muscle he does have is of the hard work variety. Between hunting and tending to the needs of a dragon, everything about G'lin is practical - between light hair left only long enough to pull it back out of his face, to clothing made to protect the body - especially pale skin such as his own. The only thing really 'dark' about the boy are his eyes - which seem to burn with a devotion that borders on scary.
Personality: Sharp and on task - while it could technically be said about a murder weapon, it can also be said about G'lin. While it can take the right words to get G'lin started, he handles every task put in front of him with a precise intensity that can be intimidating. He simply doesn't know how to let good-enough be, and will easily work himself to exhaustion or even
sickness once he's been set loose. Partially because that's how he is, partially because that's how his parents raised him for what they considered success to be in their craft. In fact, he was informed enough times that a lack of productivity on his part could result in death, that he handles nearly everything he does with a 'Do it or die' mindset, which means he doesn't exactly have a 'relaxed' state of being without a lot of help.
When his drive is put into good things, however, the results can be quite fantastic. G'lin is capable of achieving good things. His level of on-task-intensity will keep him from straying from those he cares about, assuming they're able to cut through the rest of his the-world-could-end-if-I-don't-finish-this-one-thing mindset. But don't expect his devotion to have him showing up unexpectedly in the middle of the night without some sort of prompting - personal space exists for a reason, and G'lin isn't about to overstep that boundary without permission.
Positive Trait List On-Task, Devoted, Respectful
Negative Trait List Intense, No Chill, Self-Sabotaging
History: Gwyndolin never intended to become a rider. In all technicality, he wasn't even Searched. The youngest son of a family of Hunters, they'd only intended to be in High Reaches to supply food for the upcoming Hatching Feast when the humming began. Naturally, given their errand was done and they had at least some time to entertain themselves, the family sat to watch, eagerly, the hatching of new dragons.
Each, as lovely as any others, finding theirs and heading on their way.
A single green camped out, perhaps long enough to draw worry, as she watched her siblings go forth to Impress. Yet she didn't look towards any on the sands. Her eyes remained firmly on the Stands. She seemed to sigh impatiently after a time.
Well? Are you going to come to me or not? I'm waiting, Gwyndolin. I'm too tired to come to you. It wasn't a shout. It wasn't a demand. It was curiosity. The young man easily climbed down to greet the green, who by then had a few other requests for the young hunter (and his somewhat inconvenienced family). It would be a notable meeting, as the young man
carried his green off of the sands with a lot of direction of where to go. Simply because she asked for it - and he would deliver each of his new Princess's demands.
While the pair have had to work hard to catch up, the onset of Thread lit a fire underneath the bonded pair and have given a target to keep G'lin pointed at.
Other: Neiveth would fall into the 3571.06.01 Clutch at High Reaches. Neiveth's name comes from Guinevere.
