Mesnei stuck out her tongue, feeling a little childish and playful, but one glance from Phelie was enough to make her face fall. She continued working on her fireworks, a little less vocal now.

Hivestuck My name is: Leeroi Furore My team is: Blueblood Today's Score: 13 Total Score: 13 Perhaps it would have been better if Leeroi had paid attention to his own fireworks, rather than antagonize a child who appeared to be a lot more pyrotechnically inclined. He had been looking away when one of his fireworks lit, causing the rest to go off in a maddening pop. Leeroi, standing in the center of it, moved frantically in an attempt to not withstand significant burns. In fact, the blueblood ran right for the ocean, splashing the salt water over himself to get rid of all the ash. Fixing his hair, he frowned. Ash there, too. Quickly, he dunked his head, and returned to the scene of his fireworks, all burnt out and a mess. He'd make a more impressive display tomorrow.

Hivestuck My name is: Mesnei Shachi My team is: Purple Today's Score:34 Total Score: 34 When asked later, Mesnei would probably blame it all on the blueblood who'd bothered her. She'd been perfectly fine, setting up her fireworks, having a few laughs, when suddenly, one of them sprung to life. This being her first time ever handling such a thing-- Fire, what even-- Mesnei definitely did not know the severity of her situation. She watched as one of the fireworks exploded too close to her and soon started screaming and panicking. They weren't stopping, there were too many and Mesnei was not okay with any of this!!! She'd come out to have a good time and now-- Now she was feeling so attacked, so betrayed!!
By the end of it Mesnei was left on the floor, whimpering and tearing up. Phelie hummed. Mesnei stayed quiet.

Kerras raced along the beach, cape whipping around them from the offshore breeze. Every dozen feet or so, they skid to a stop and dropped down to their knees. Fingers fumbling from the oceanic chill, they set up the mortar as quickly as they could. Then they were off again, running as though their life depended on it. Suddenly up ahead there was another troll. Kerras dug their heels into the ground to keep from slamming into them. In the process they kicked up a spray of sand and covered the other tealblood. Kerras' jaw dropped, and with their hands at their sides, frantically began to bow up and down apologetically.
