Chiara was distracted while she made her structure. She had an odd feeling, a feeling like someone, somewhere, was having a major headache. The blueblood smirked cuz she is a terrible mean thing.
Garand was in a much better mood than he had been the night before, thanks pretty much entirely to the success he'd had at figuring out the power converter. Eager to keep at it again now, he reported over for wilderness survival this time. Maybe he'd learn something new!
Out of habit, though, he ended up gravitating more towards the desert sheltering options. The familiar was always a good place to start, and if he could get any extra tips to make what he and Pan already did even better, it would be perfect.
He just kept getting distracted by the other options, wanting to try and build everything all at once! Somewhere in the process he'd ended up with the exact opposite of what he'd intended to go for. This was no good for the desert, he could tell, but from what Rouxez had said earlier, he thought maybe...Underwater? That could work. As he sat back to consider it again, he wondered when he'd ever need to make a shelter underwater, seeing as how he couldn't breathe down there.

Chiara Moteku Code thing: Y-M-C-M 4/6 for Underwater
Chiara tried to think up a reason for why anyone would ever need a shelter for underwater. She guessed it was for stalking and killing seadwellers, but really that was just a hope. There was no way any normal troll could occupy an underwater shelter, they needed air. Lucky, Chiara no longer needed air. She just had to give herself some gills, and she would fit right in. Of course to do so would be disgusting. Join the enemy? Hell no.
Mahmud was livid by the time he got to the lightseeker's booth. Despite being a regular at this point, and normally at least giving a little "hello" to each of the booth owners, tonight he only gave a short, curt wave before heading straight to Rouxez' station. " 'llo" he mumbled, as he sat straight down in front of his teacher and listened to her lessons.
Again, some of this stuff went straight over his head. That just served to piss Mahmud off even more
By the time it was time to construct his shelter, the poor guy just didn't know what to do! There were so many possibilities... and he couldn't quite think straight.

It took a little while, but Mahmud finally decided on something. Underwater. Underwater was interesting, different. Maybe the challenge would inspire him or some s**t. At this point, he really couldn't care. Underwater sounded like a fun place to go at the moment, far away from where all of his troubles were.
He set to work with tight-pressed lips and squinting eyes, saying nothing as he hammered and tested and made adjustments. This wasn't really his forte, being the exact opposite of the kind of environment he grew up in... but in other ways, it was similar. Both had to keep the elements out flawlessly, or risk utter disaster.

By the end of it all, it was a fairly basic shelter from the elements (read: tons of ******** water) but Mahmud felt proud. At least he got to do something not for deserts! And as well, working hard and concentrating on the task really did help improve his mood. This is what he loved to do. This is what he was good at.
When Rouxez came around, he had a far more chipper look on his face than the few days before. "Thank you for coming to look" he stated, not saying much more. He had questions, but had a different person he wanted to ask.

Tsarzi Ameroc
Tsarzi stared at the corner setup, silently irritated at herself for missing this all week. She thought she'd swept through main thoroughfare and seen anything worth her time already, but apparently not. A shame. Admittedly she did keep her time at the festival limited, given the crowds did nothing good for her mood.
The fresh produce and interesting set of adults manning the booths caught her attention though. She approved of the professional but comfortable set up, finding it to be just the right mix of homey and, well, professional. Tsarzi walked up, perusing the multi-booth setup. The display of items was impressive, to be sure. It was an outdoor market localized to a small corner of Bloodfest.
Again, a shame to have missed it for so long. She was here now though, Time to take a look at what they offered beyond just the sales stand. Tsarzi noticed a couple activities, practical ones mind you, at the booth and a pamphlet about the group that was running the place. Hmm, she would try the activities first, look at the pamphlet after. She wanted to do something first, then get some food for thought.

Tsarzi Ameroc
Tsarzi hadn't had much practice with shelter making, typically staying close to home for her hunting practice and exercise. Even exploring, she headed home before daybreak, even if she was curious about Alternia under sunlight. There was some things that Lupos demanded of her for her own safety, and that was one of them. If weather went bad, he'd ferry her home himself. She knew it was for the best, and she could live with that.
A practical skill, designed to rain you for environments you perhaps weren't normally faced with? That caught Tsarzi's interest. Good, that was the kind of preparedness she wanted to train into herself.
So far, her shelter was a generalized one, but was leaning on protection from light and wind. Sighing out her nose, Tsarzi stepped back to reassess what she was doing.
