 Nekura MyonmuThe boy stretched out as he paced around the area in his now usual rate....Pausing as he saw another horde of demons, circling a blue haired boy.
"Man, we really gotta stop meeting like this." Nekura called, drawing his weapon as he started clear out the horde....
And knelt over the boy's body.
"Hey, buddy. If you're dead, just say so." the boy called with a chuckle, letting energy flow back into him from the demon. It was a revival spell..and a witty comment. "Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"He made swift work of the demons, as he had expected. What he hadn't expected, and what he certainly couldn't make swift work of, was the red-haired Fiend that appraised him from the alley as he fought, smirking confidently as he slowly strolled out after the battle, coming eye-to-eye with the silver-haired teen and looking at him with some small measure of approval now that he knew his previous prey had managed to survive his 'message' for the wannabe half-breed. Soji, for his part, already knew how this dance was going to go, but he stood resolute nonetheless. You could only stare death in the face in a situation like this, or break down and flee in terror. He did not flee. He smirked in death's face, and it smirked right back.
"Look like you've seen a ghost."
"I'm just used to the people I kill staying dead."
"Sorry to disappoint."
"Oh no, I'm not disappointed. I'm amused. If you can keep coming back, I get to experience watching you die over...and over...and over again."
"Have to kill me first..."
"Oh, I will..."

The fight, if you could call it that, was over much the same as it had been before. But as Tala left him kneeling, bleeding out from a variety of wounds, the arrival of his teammate Genji spared him from eternity. He smiled in pain as his vision wavered...and he thanked him, standing tall slowly, taking a step away.
"Genji...thank you. ...But you and Minori both should stay away from me, if you can. This Candelabrum...it means that I'm marked by the Fiends, by that red-haired monster...Tala. He will never stop hunting me as long as I hold it, and I can't just let it go. ...I promise, I will try to protect you from him, from everything. The blue haired boy snapped to attention as healing magic flowed through him...and he stretched out. He turned to his savior, a boy with a vicious scar....and held out a hand.
"Thanks for the assist, buddy-pal." he called, before picking his bloody swords off the ground. "But, now..I must go! My friends need me!"
He..shook off being dead rather fast, and as he started about with a grin on his face, it was hard to tell if something hadn't left him when he was..dead. Unfortunately for them, they didn't know who they were going up against. "THEIR NUMBERS WILL COUNT FOR NOTHING!" The martial artist cried as she charged at the enemies like a mad woman. It was only a few short hours later that she stood on the battle field alone (not counting her comrades) with not one single enemy left in sight. "Man, I'm getting a lot of these." he mused, dumping them in his pocket as he continued along. It was an...interesting problem to have, though he kept his pace steady...and his blades at the ready.

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"He knew that Genji would want to dissuade him from leaving, but that was all the more reason why he needed to go. Placing a hand on his shoulder, he nodded comfortingly...before the sound of rampaging footsteps behind them both alerted him that their moment of peace had come to an end. The devils that raged through the streets had come, a horde of the smaller ones lead by a Gozuki and Mezuki working in tandem. Together, it would be a struggle, but alone...it would be impossible. At least, for one of them. But Soji stepped forward and put himself between the cotton-candy haired heir and smiled over his shoulder, bringing his sword to rest on on the other despite the soreness of his recent defeats. This was going to be his whole damn day, wasn't it? Dying, fighting, dying again, fighting again. So be it.
"Genji, you need to get back to Minori. She's going to be missing you, you know. And she needs you far more than I do," he assured him, turning to face the horde and readying his blade, "She's lost too many things this past year to lose you, too. Go to her, stay with her, keep her safe. This...I can handle." And without a word he rushed forward to bottleneck the demons into the wide alley with his weapon, cutting a swathe through the weaker ones in hopes of reaching the larger ones without needing to spend too much of his energy. Minori Koroko  Before she could reach them, though... something hit her from behind, the girl thrown down the street, rolling to a stop. She spat out blood and looked at what had hit her with such force. The girl stood up painfully, but held her ground. Her Pixie moved in front to protect her, but was flitted away without much effort. "Pix-" The girl tightened her hands into fists, and a look of determination crossed her face. "You will regret that." She took her stance...turned back to look at Soji moving forward, and frowned. She hadn't had a chance to talk to him...she was worried for him. But, he was capable, and she hoped he will be alright.
With that, she turned back to the demon, and sighed.

Upon traveling, Yuuki came across the first person she's seen since she's awoken to this devastating world: a brown haired lad wearing a black hood and armor ensemble. Deciding not to waste the opportunity, she approached the man with cautious optimism; tugging on his sleeve if he didn't immediately notice her presence. Excuse me, but how are you? The girl wrote on her notepad. Maybe not the best thing to start out with considering where they were and the situation... But she was just so relieved to find someone else.

Shun Fujomaki"Ohhh..Thanks a bunch, Seta-meister." the boy called as he managed to find his way to his feet, the boy's revival skill having brought him back from the brink.....and he stretched out...The corpses of the two bull-ish demons appearing.
"Man..looks like I missed out.." he called quietly, before wiping his blades again. "Well..Hopefully, we won't need to keep coming and rescuing one another all day."
He stretched his arms, and braced, flinging a blade at a Preta that tried to get the drop on them....and then went to pick his blade up after it fell.

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"He had carved through the worst of the devilish horde, crossing the street from the Textile shop into the alley alongside the Liquor Store; there he saw what it was that the horde was keeping him from and what the two demons were keeping him from. It was Shun! The boy had been crumbled to the dust on the street beneath him, and they were arguing over which of them was going to share in the spoils, which would be better to eat him...alive, dead? So he was barely alive! Soji knew what he had to do, but the horde had sapped him of some strength. He knew that it would be a struggle to defeat those two alone with only his devils...but he had to try! Shun had helped him save that girl, and now, it was his turn to repay the favor that he had paid him. One good turn deserved another, didn't it? And so he drew his blade and stepped past the corpses of the weaker devils, the Gozuki and Mezuki turning to face him with a deep release of breath from their snouts, almost as though mocking his desire to fight them. He grit his teeth...arrogant demons deserved what came to them, didn't they? And he would not fall so easily...not to them. Never.
He felt a power begin to fill him just then, similar to the power from before but different...instead of easily breezing like the wind, he flowed through the motions like water, ducking the axe of Gozuki as he jabbed his sword easily through the lower abdomen of the demon, then leaping and rolling smoothly over the strike of Mezuki's staff, cutting his Achilles Tendon smoothly and dropping both devils to their knees in a matter of moments.
He came up behind them both and felt the power slowly draining, but his foes had been crippled. Sending his Lilim to help get Shun back on his feet, he placed his blade at the backs of their necks and glared at the two of them harshly. Like he had said...the arrogant ones got what they deserved.
"That's my friend. And I'm going to save him," he told them sternly as they tried to rise but crumbled in their pain, "And the two of you are just dead."Quote: 9 Tokens

Minori Koroko It was regretful she had lost Pixie. It had been a good friend... it definitely had taken her out of very difficult situations before, even if they had been together for a short while. But...she couldn't stay and linger for long. Genji was waiting...she needed to get back to him.
Fighting off a few demons that tried ambushing her, she reached her boyfriend, taking his hand in hers, almost to soothe herself more than soothing him. This was too much. "How is Soji...? I saw him there, but I didn't catch up before he left." He hadn't look good, if she was honest. "I just hope he is alright."
